Delicious food and super friendly service! A very delightful, unassuming place with excellent food!

Wonderful restaurant with extremely good Italian food. Very reasonable prices and right across from Blue Orchid Hotel. Lovely wine list and selection of pasta and meat dishes. Service was wonderful. Don't miss this one.

Loved this place! The food was excellent & the ambience was very pleasant--small & quiet & elegant. The owner (or manager?) who waited on us was also wonderfully attentive. We have another week in London, & we'll definitely be going back here again.

We came in a bit late, and they served us well. The service was friendly but I would have liked the menu to have a bit more to choose from. I was looking forward to raviolis or chicken Parmesan. Sadly my pasta didn't come with any sauce. It was probably my fault for not reading correctly as we were tired.

We ordered delivery via Deliveroo.
Food was very good -- all of the spinach side, pasta with king prawns, and spaghetti with minced beef and tomato sauce. Nothing too spectacular, but on the dot and a job well done.
Seems like it's probably a cozy neighbourhood kind of restaurant -- I would love to try it out in person sometime. For now, I'm definitely keen to order again here at least for delivery!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (london…)Londres, Royaume-Uni100591796 sept. 2008
2 Amici is an Italian restaurant that's been open approximately 2 years. I went a couple of months ago, and already it's fairly difficult to remember - not because of my poor memory, just because it doesn't stand out in any way whatsoever: service is good, as is the food, but it doesn't match other local Italian restaurants such as Quiranale near the Houses of Parliament or Il Convivio in Belgravia.
Staff are friendly enough, but the tables are really very close to each other, meaning you always feel somewhat squashed and end up talking in hushed tones. All things considered - i.e. a decent local place, it's also relatively pricey - but maybe that's what goes with a restaurant in Central LondonHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mike S.Tampa, États-Unis03421 juin 2017
Very poor management although the serving staff was polite and the food average. Had a reservation, but the older host seated a party in front of us without one and made us wait 10 minutes for a table. Wouldn't change menu items, such as making chicken parm when they had chicken Marsala and other parmigiana options. Was during hot time so wine was served at about 80 degrees F. We were also seated in back which appears as though it was added on and there's no air conditioning in the restaurant. They automatically add 12.5% so I had it removed and gave directly to the asst server.

I had lunch here with a colleague and we were both disappointed.
The positives:
1. The interior was pleasant and relatively stylish.
2. Our mains were okay. Not the best pasta we'd had in the world, but better than the chain Italian restaurants.
3. The £3.50 cost of the 330ml Peroni I had is round about market rate.
The negatives:
1. The service was really slow. Despite having a couple of waiters to tend to perhaps 6-7 tables, each stage of the two course meal we had took ages to order - close to 2 hours for the whole thing (!), despite us making it clear near the end that we were in a hurry;
2. The Tiramisu (one of the dishes an Italian restaurant stands or falls by, in my opinion) was one of the worst I've had: dry, unexciting and lacking much mascarpone or cream.
Overall: I won't be coming back here in a hurryHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Roger H.Sarasota, États-Unis011 juil. 2012
This restaurant turned out to be a delight. The staff was highly attentive and the food was great.
I had a pesto chicken dish while my wife had a delicious sea bass dish. Two friends loved their food.
Highly recommended.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joanna H.Calgary, Canada845181 mars 2012
I cannot say enough good things about this place.
My bf and I spent 6 nights in London and on our 3rd one his parents came to meet us and this is where we all went for dinner. The night before we had passed it and it was packed which is always a good sign. When we walked in, we were surprised to be the only ones there but it was still early. We were greeted right away and she even hung up our coats for us. We took a seat and ordered some drinks and appetizers. The food was absolutely wonderful and it wasn't even our main course yet, the wine was wonderful too but that's a given ;) The atmosphere of the restaurant was very lovely and the staff were very friendly. Our main course was AMAZING!!!! I've had good Italian before, but this was amazing! I had the seafood pasta dish (I had a bit of wine afterwards as well and can't remember what it was called) and my bf had the bolognese which was just as nice. For dessert I had the Creme Brulee and my lord, I wish there had been more of it. My bf's mum had the tiramisu which I'm usually not a big fan of, but it was so light and sweet (not too sweet) that I would have ordered one for myself, and his dad had the banoffee pie which I usually find too sweet, but there's had some strawberry in there and took away a lot of the sweetness. This was probably the best meal we had the entire time we were there. It was just over £115 for the 4 of us, mind you we had a full bottle of wine, starters, main courses, more drinks and desserts, but it was worth every penny. You really do get what you pay for. I really can't describe to you how good the meal was, you definitely have to give it a try for yourself.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
