Blackburn Buffet City

Blackburn Buffet City is located on Exchange Street in what used to be the Exchange Pub.


Buffet City is an all you can eat chinese restaurant with prices varying depending on what day you go. Friday and Saturday are the most epensive days.


When you walk in the staff show you a seat depending on the amout of people are in your group and ask if any drinks are quired which are paid on the final bill.


There is a wide range of food available. You can get what you want when you want. Below is just a selection but more is available.


Starters include Duck & Pancakes, Spring Rolls, Curry Samosas, Hot & Sour or Sweetcorn Soup, Spare Ribs.


Mains include: Noodles, Fried Rice, Chips, Chicken Curry, Beef with Black Bean Sauce, Seet & sour Chicken


Desserts include: Chocolate Fountain with Marshmallow Sticks, Bannana Fritters and Syrup, Cake, Jelly, Ice Cream


The quality isn't excellent but is clean and very nice, rice could be fried a bit more but I suppose you get what you pay for. Staff are friendly and drinks are cheap enough.

I went here today an i couldnt believe the change, a couple of years ago i had bin here and the food lacked taste however now there is a big varity of food and they are constantly re done the staff are really friendly and its cheap :-)

The borough used to be one of my old drinking haunts when I was a late teenager, I also used to watch bands upstairs at the weekend.. Now it has been turned into a chinese all-you-can-eat buffet.
There was a party of 15 of us and we were given a table that seated 14, the staff wouldn't take a chair from any of the other tables, so one of us had to crouch.
The place was rather busy and very noisy, I don't recall any music playing, but there was defintely children screaming and people trying to shout over eachother.
Visiting this place was my first experience of an all-you-can eat buffet and I can't say I'm impressed, it's fine if you want a cheap meal, but I'd rather go to a carvery.
I was queued waiting to fill my plate up, while I watched an elderly couple pick up prawn toast with their hands, ask what it was and then put it back down again.. I saw children touch the food and people coughing without turning away, this instantly put me off and I didn't eat much.. in fact I got a kebab later on in the evening, least I didn't see what they did to the donner meat before I bought it.
I forgot to pick my camera up out of the car, I was about to walk out of the door when a waitress came over telling me I could not leave as I had not paid, I explained that I was with the party and I would return in a minute, they were adamant I did not leave, very embarassing.
Overall a sad experience, I wish it was still the borough.

Eat as much as you want at lunch times! The food is fine and good price. It is like a school canteen a bit but is great for a group of people who want to pop out for a cheap lunch together.It is centrally located just along the road from town centre mall and town hall. I saw that they do special party offers and group discount on certain occasions.

This is a self service buffet, you can eat as much as you want. You have to pay seperate prices for the drinks though here. Their seats inside here are posh as well, They make some lovely chicken here it has to be said. Their customer service is good as staff be around assisting with any help needed as well.

The atmosphere was nice but it was very quiet. There wasn't as much choice as other buffets I have been to, but the food available was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.

I love the chicken skewers, good quick food at bargain price.

We tend to have family and frends get togethers here. It ticks all the right box's. Clean, frendly, spaciouse, reasonably price. and food to suit all even the most deserning diats.
