Boulangerie Schou

Came here because I heard they were voted one of the best places for a croissant in Paris. We came a little bit later in the day, so they didn't have their full selection, but we tried the raspberry croissant, which had a red swirled dough. The taste was okay, not as strong as I would have liked, and the red dough on the outside seemed a little burnt.

absolutely amazing. everything is so good, and the packaging is adorable. the staff is kind and helpful. ce here 2 times in 2 days! definitely recommend the moelleux chocolat, it is like a mix between a brownie and a flourless chocolate cake.

Very good, I had the chocolate torte and it was delicious. My daughter had what we think was a brownie. I don't remember the French name for it. She said it was the best one she has ever had.

We were staying at an apartment on Ave Foch and this boulangerie was about a 10 minute walk from our place. I happened upon it on a walk one morning before sunrise, and the brightly lit croissants in the window shattered the surrounding darkness.

When I returned to the apartment, I told everyone that I would be making another morning walk, but would be returning with some delightful freshness for breakfast. The next two mornings I used the 'Point my finger at' method and brought back deliciously fresh croissants, in various flavors. At 7AM opening not everything was in the case in the small shop staffed by two women, but they were busy loading up. In addition to croissants they also had a nice assortment of quiche.

Prices seemed ready for the better neighborhood, and the treats were very fresh and flaky. If you are nearby, and need a nice start to your morning seek out this corner shop. English was not readily spoken.
