Don't waste your time here, so many excellent places to eat in Lyon there's no reason to eat mediocre food. I had the salad with goat's cheese, normally a winner in Lyon. The cheese and dressing were good but served on a bed of mesclun. Mesclun does not do well on it's own as a salad base. A bit too lawn-clippingish for me. Hubby had a Lyonnaise salad. Again, pretty good, but on the unfortunate bed of mesclun. Is this cheaper than good lettuce? I just don't know why you would use this instead of crisp romaine or at least a mix of baby greens. The pichet of house white wine we had was very good; the pinnacle of our meal. I'm glad I skipped a main as my husband was very disgruntled about his all night. He had the pavé steak with chips (fries). He asked for the steak medium but it was at least medium-well. So dry he only ate half (this is saying a lot). The thick-cut fries were greasy and soggy; inedible. I asked my husband why he didn't say something about his meal. "It's the English in me", he says. Well, the American in me would have said something, but that's a whole other topic. Also, we never got the carafe of water we ordered. Sadly, this was our last night in Lyon and not the note we wanted to leave on, food-wise. Ah well, I hope this review prevents someone else from the same fate.
