3.5 stars. Upscale, romantic, classy - this (slightly hidden) gem made for a great experience! Service was excellent and though food was good, it was not the most memorable for the price point.
Food: The plus- they were very willing to help me avoid gluten and dairy. They even had an online menu to suggest items by allergy! I enjoyed warm gluten free bread, scallops, and salad (as all the other sides were not allergen friendly). The others in my party cleaned their plates of lamb (highly recommended), mackerel (the fillets had bones), and oysters, and raced about the cake.
Service: Excellent! This was the best service I've experienced this trip (more than Paul Bocuse's restaurant!). What I most appreciated was the friendliness and attentiveness without being stuffy, condescending, or inconsistent among clients. Well done.
Ambiance: Cozy but a great size for groups. I liked that you didn't have to dress over the top; it was comfortable, easy, and fun.
For the service and overall experience, I would consider going again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 6 janv. 2018
After a long morning of visiting various tourist attractions, we stopped at the first lunch spot we could find. Upon arrival, we realized we were underdressed compared to the rest of the diners, but we still stayed and enjoyed our meal in the outdoor dining area. The location was a bit odd, as it was under an Air France terminal/office building.

The four stars for this restaurant was quite misleading. The location is a bit odd because it's inside of an Air France terminal. The ambiance is great, very clean & accommodating as we did not speak the language.
Our table had the steak, duck, and truffle lobster pasta. The savior was definitely the truffle lobster however the other two dishes did not fare as well. It was lacking flavor and texture. We ordered a bottle of the Bordeaux and was extremely disappointed. It cost us a pretty penny and was not worth the visit.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 25 juil. 2011Avis mis à jour
I went to Chez Françoise with a groupon for two menus parlementaires because I remembered the amazing food [that I could've gotten, but didn't]. It was for my friend's last day in Paris, so I thought that he deserved some really quality food - even if the service would be bad.
HOWEVER, there has been a complete change in service. It was absolutely incredible; the maitre'd was really nice and welcoming, and the waiter who served us was also quite good. He kindly explained what a "vacherin" was and he was patient and attentive. Near the end, service got a bit hurried because the restaurant was so full and there were so few waiters. We didn't get many refills on our water, but that wasn't really a problem.
Our food ... my goodness. Just as amazing as I remembered, even though I got completely different things. I made an excellent choice with the millefeuille aux aubergines with ricotta and basil and sundried tomatoes - I have no idea how they did it, but it was the perfect combination of flavors and texture. After my first bite, I sat back into my seat, trying hard not to be clichéd by closing my eyes to enjoy it more. It was really quite fabulous. My friend got the terrine de lapin, which was also really good. Mmmmm. :) Strangely enough, the online menu says that those two appetizers are unavailable at night. That's not true because we got them. Whew.
Our plats - we weren't that excited about them because they didn't sound that great on the menu, but we were pleasantly [and wonderfully] surprised. He got the plat du jour, which was some sort of meat with tagliatelle and champignons de paris sauce. His meat was deliciously tender and flavorful. Wow. I got a fish with a really good sauce - and the fish was cooked extremely well, too. Mmmm :)
For dessert, I got the moelleux with the yogurt ice cream, and he got the vacherin. Both were excellent. The moelleux wasn't as good as I remembered it [even though it was still good], but the yogurt ice cream was really delicious. I totally loved it; I've never had it before. It was also served with three slices of rose-flavored pound cake. :D
My friend got a rosé [recommended by the waiter] and despite our groupon, we were served cordially and kindly. Awesome.

After such a great experience at Chez Françoise, I decided to bring my brother back here ... two days later. Haha. I'm including this in this review because I'd only give it four stars this time, but I want my overall rating for Chez Francoise to still be five.
They were as wonderfully nice as they were last time, even though we weren't well-dressed at all. [Last time, I was wearing a nice dress. This time, I was just in normal clothes]. When I asked if I could get just an appetizer [instead of a plat], the waiter was like "of course" so that was really great. I got the millefeuille aux aubergines again. :p My brother got the magret de canard with the green curry sauce. It was interesting, but he didn't enjoy it as much as the magret de canard with honey that he had the night before somewhere else. That was kind of a shame; I had to agree that the magret de canard was not that great. I had such great memories of the magret de canard I had here during Semaine du Goût, so that was a little disappointing.
We got the strawberry and peach in a mint jelly with lemon sorbet and the rose-flavored pound cake again. SO GOOD. I think it's a brilliant idea, and they executed it perfectly and deliciously. The lemon sorbet was wonderfully tart and went really well with the sweet mint jelly and fruit. Nom nom. :)
I'd totally recommend Chez Françoise, especially now that they've upped their service. Definitely make a reservation, though, and I wouldn't recommend the magret de canard with green curry unless you like that kind of thing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 028 déc. 2010Avis précédentI want to give Chez Francoise a 3.5, but I can't. :/ I came here for La Semaine du Goût with a group of 13 friends. It was 23.8€ per person, for wine, appetizer, entrée, dessert AND café. Pretty good deal :)
Unfortunately, the service was pretty lacking. They put us in the back, but we were a group of THIRTEEN people - how could they possibly forget that we were there? We waited a really, really long time for everything - getting our orders (which doesn't take us that long because there's a limited menu), getting our food, getting water ... It was pretty frustrating. They kept avoiding us even though we kept trying to get their attention. They went on to serve the small tables of twos and threes scattered throughout the restaurant instead. I understand that it may have been because we're just college students, but we were all well-dressed and polite and spoke French.
The food was quite good. I didn't like my food as much as the food that my friend next to me got, but that's my own fault. She had an eggplant tart and the magret de canard - AMAZING. So, so good. I had salmon for my appetizer and trout for my entrée. They were good, too, but I guess I was more in the mood for eggplant and meat. My bad. :/ I really loved my nage d'agrumes, though - it was my first time having it and it was the perfect light dessert to finish the meal.
All in all, it wasn't bad. I could've picked better food, but I made a poor decision. It was nice to be with my friends, but it was pretty difficult to talk to people at the other end. One of my friends had problems because he was vegetarian, but the waiters eventually addressed that. He had to wait a pretty long time, though. Another one of my friends got his order messed up, so they gave him mushrooms on top of his magret de canard. Awesome! That was pretty nice of them.
P.S. Chez Francoise is pretty difficult to find, btw. I was pretty lucky that my friends had already arrived and found their way because they gave me detailed directions. Wow. - Tom W.Calera, États-Unis133767 avr. 2019
I had my birthday dinner here with my wife. We had a very nice booth inside. Our wait staff was fantastic and very helpful. We had dinner and dessert. I had the chicken and asparagus and she had the salmon for our entrees. One of my favorite meals so far. We ended up with the creme brûlée and an apple tart that wee equally as tasty.

This was an amazing restaurant! My husband and I were trying to have a nice romantic dinner for our last night in Paris and this place couldn't have been better! The food and service was beyond superior and the music was excellent! Anais Nyl was the singer and she was beautiful! She sang two special songs for us in English and French and we even slow danced to one of her beautiful renditions of a slow French song! It was a perfect night to end our romantic getaway in Paris!

Make sure not to come here looking like a tourist in shorts and t-shirt as the rest of the crowd will be dressed like the professional government workers they are. They have a parlimentre menu for a reason. It is not suprising that there are few tourists coming here as it is behind the Air-France building so someone walking around would not see it from the street.
The food was not amazing but it was very good. I had a deal so got 50% off the normal 30 euro price for the three course meal but I would pay the full 30 euro in the future.
My steak was a little fatty but was cooked medium rare(a pointe in french) liked I asked for it. The chocolate garnache dessert tasted recently made.
Service was good though do know your french as it helped with both the staff and the menu.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bruce W.Pleasanton, États-Unis09223 sept. 2016
Ordered two lunch specials. Oysters and cod we're very good. Duck terrine was a bit dry, squid dish was bland. Chocolate mouse was amazing! Overall excellent value for lunch.
