I went online and found a dinner+theater package for a pre-theatre 2-course prix fixe meal at Chez Gerard by the Apollo and a seat for Wicked in the stalls (known as Orchestra stateside) at the Apollo for £40 (ticket face was £40 and the value of the 2-course prix fixe meal is £17)

I had the Filet de Cabillaud, Bohemienne de Legumes (Roasted cod fillet with freshly sauteed ratatouille and basil mash). Although the fish was good, i was curious about the poulet chasseur but upon research, it's just hunter chicken, meaning accompanied by mushrooms and usually broiled with sauce around it. For some reason I got camera shy and didn't take a picture. Must have been the waiter staring at me.

For my secound course, I had the creme brulee. Yum.

Service seemed adequate. I only care about the taste of the food and in that department, they did pretty well.

There were tons of pre-theatre diners here. I guess we were all eating here cuz of the deal.

By the way, Wicked with the British diction makes the musical even more fun.

      anchovy butter!

One of the nicest Chez Gerard's I've been in, and certainly the 'poshest' feeling. This CG is very close to Victoria Station and located in the Grovesner Hotel. It's ideal for popping into just before going to see Wicked or Billy Elliott.

The thing to have here is steak and I enjoyed a very large rump steak which was one of the tastiest I'd ever had. Plus if you're in before a theatre there is a Champagne happy 'hour' from 5 - 7 with bottles at £24.

Business Breakfast at Chez Gerrard? NO NO NO NO NO. I should have realised when it transpired you couldn't book. I should have realised when they said it was a buffet.

Overpriced. Awful food. Bad coffee. Service very bad but friendly.
Me Please could i have some toast

      The toast never arrived.

The only saving grace was the attractive room and the lemon on the mushrooms (it worked).

You never go to a Chez Gerard for the food. It's acceptable, nothing more, but a very good option for a glass of wine in an area lacking in good bars

This is a nice Chez Gerard restaurant. It is adjoined to the Grosvenor ( Thistle) hotel although you wouldn't know as it has it's own street entrance by the station. The building is old with beautiful high ceilings and the location is perfect for pre theatre dinners for Billy Elliott or Wicked. They have some great offers and the food and service is great. I like Chez Gerard restaurants, I feel they are good value and I have never had a bad meal.it's not fine dining..so don't expect that

Only know it as the breakfast room for the Grosvenor Hotel. Typical buffet with as much as you need. But very busy. Not suitable for business breakfasts as they like a quick turnover.
