Le Cirque

So this is terrible and stupid (which I guess makes it terribly stupid), but I forgot my DSLR battery and charger at home in the States. I was making do with a point-and-shoot digital but then I thought to myself - how sad is it to be in one of the most photogenic cities in the world without access to my DSLR camera? And, this particular trip actually inspired the purchase of said camera several months ago. So off I went to Cirque Photo, in search of a battery.

It took about 2.5 seconds for the lovely staffer to figure out what I needed (my French is very basic) and he led me to the appropriate Nikon accessories. Not only did he offer to charge it for me behind the counter, but he labeled my battery neatly as he was about to go on a break. An hour later, I showed up and my battery was fully-charged and ready to go!

The only painful part of this transaction was the cost. 68 EUR for a battery is crazy expensive! Le sigh.
