Episode is one of the million vintage stores in Camden. It's decent enough, stocking the regular range of checked-flannel shirts and 50s style dresses that seem to be staples wherever you go.

But I always tend to leave Episode a little...unsatisfied...I've picked up a couple of basic bits and pieces here, but nothing that has totally blown my mind.

The stock is good quality though, and really reasonably priced, and you may just pick up a little gem...

On the Camden high road, opposite the stables, this vintage clothes shop sells old vintage clothes, as well as new stuff which has been designed to look vintage.
The men's section is downstairs and the woman's on the ground and first floor.

At first site, it looks a little small, but the floors go round and there are turns where you will be quite surprised with how big it is and how much they have squeezed into the whole space.

They have a variety of products including ties, sun glasses, hats, shoes, suits, and most things under the sun.

It is very reasonable in comparison to other vintage stores. My girlfriend bought a vintage oversized jumper for just £25 where similar things are double in other places. The service is nice and if you ask nicely enough, you may get a discount. If you like simplicity and order, this place inst for you.

I'm always intrigued by the window when passing by Episode, enough to make me stop by and actually have a wee wander around.

This shop has lots of promise but... just fails to deliver. There is so much choice for men and women here but it's a case of lots of stuff that just isn't that great. You can have rails and rails of clothes but nothing ever stands out at all.

I always leave this shop disappointed. For quality vintage check out some vintage shops around central London (check my other reviews) or even the shops around Brick Lane, this place is just a little rubbish really...

Stumbled in here while waiting for an event to start at the Camden stables market across the street. So it's vintage? But not that good of quality of some of the things.

Like there's some stuff that is priced like its the perfect 50's dress but it's really an oversized, stupidly ironic t-shirt that someone wears on purpose (Im lookin at you trendy teens!)

I was very overwhelmed in this place. Too much stuffffff! There are so many clothes and accessories in here that they sort by type of clothing. But I mean really specific type. Like tie in front, cropped, sleeveless, blouse, has its own section. Next to the peasant blouse section.

And thats the other thing. Speaking of those shirts that I found specifically, they had the exact same brand of shirt in various colors. So did you get those wholesale or what? Did they fall off a truck or something? Cause I go to second hand shops to find something original. twenty other people will wear this blouse that I found? meh, no thanks.

Im giving it the extra star because if I had time and interest enough, theres soooo much shite in here that I was bound to find something interesting. And the price of things?, I chalk that up as balance for having everything you could ever want to cloth yourself in, in one place. My laziness wins I guess.

One of the many thrift shops in the area Episode is your middle of the road store. I couldn't say it was amazing when compared to some of the vintage shops inside the Stables Market across the road but they do still have some quite cool stuff. I thought they had a good range of coats and jackets and my boyfriend tells me they had quite a few good things for the guys too.
The prices are what you would expect, you can get an item of clothing for anywhere between £15 to £30 pounds and obviously the more crazy and unique one-off pieces can be a little more. Episode is ok, but there are other places I would rather check out before here. Although the staff in there were really friendly and helpful.

Thing with vintage shops, you've seen one (like Beyond Retro) and you've seen them all. They play cool music. And their clothes are pretty cool, if you're into retro clothes. Which I am so I can't complain too much. It's hard being this cool.

They seem to have nailed the look of the moment. But this sure int the epicentre of the zeitgeist so don't get too excited. Weird metallic fabrics for the girls, and boys get quite an array of them lumberjack shirts. Which I really don't like by the by, who came up with that idea.

So yeah, they've got the clothes, the staff, the interior (full of flyers for up-coming gigs and that) and all that lot sorted. Yeah, like other people have said, I've never found anything particularly dreamy in here. But it's not at all bad having said that...

One of my favourite vintage shops in London. It's organised really well and nothing is overpriced so you get really nice stuff for really decent prices.

The staff are always friendly and will point you in the right direction if there is something in particular you are looking for.

They usually have lots of everything rather than just one or two so you can find stuff you like and rest assured that when you come back on pay day what you wanted will still be there.

The episode is a place of worship for people who love the vintage clothing - and is vintage clothing a dressed up way of describing a charity shop? Maybe the proceeds don't go to good causes, and the clothing is a little bit more hand picked.. but other then that, you can almost imagine someone coming in with a big black bag of their old clothes and seeing them on the shelves 24 hours later. This place has that feel more then most of these types of shops and my girlfriend definitely wasn't a fan. A good quality set of clothing, though, I will say that.

Great vintage/retro shop opposite Camden Markets. 3 floors of women's and men's clothing, organised into types (e.g. 80s jumpers, jackets, coats, etc.) Well priced in general, especially in comparison with other similar shops in the area.

The staff are very glam, the place is very organised and the stock is always changing. Best for accessories that will really stand out eg.shiney belts, jaunty hats and divine broaches. I especially love the cocktail dresses and the fact that everything is in excess at Episode; not one edwardian-style petticoat but one hundred.
