bon rapport qualite-prix, surtout pour le quartier. Proximite a Place d'Italie, Butte aux cailles. Acceuil chaleureux, chambres propres et confortables.
I stay at the Hotel Tolbiac every time I go to Paris. Yes, in terms of luxury it gets zero stars, but it's clean, comfortable and the staff is friendly. I'm pretty sure most of them speak English as well.
Let's not forget that Paris lodging is very, very pricey. But here you can get a double bed with private shower, toilet and tv for 60 Euros.
The fact that it's close to Place d'Italie and Butte aux Cailles (not to mention Monoprix for your grocery needs) adds to the value.
Ok, you're not in the middle of all the touristy stuff, nor are the rooms as big as what you get in the States, but if you want to hang in Paris off the beaten path, I highly recommend coming here.
