Kemper Gastronomie

Best. Experience. Food. Everything. EVER!! I am ashamed it has taken me 1 year and 1 day to write this review. Kemper deserves immediate recognition. Planning a wedding overseas is easy, said no one ever! After booking our wedding venue, the owners of the property recommended Kemper Gastronomie highly. Within 24 hours we had an appointment for a food tasting.

Our menu consisted of the following:

* Fish in Butter Sauce
* Fois Gras Salad
* Regional Cheese platter
* Amuse Bouche (starter)
* Assorted fruit + Pastry selection

Everything on the above list is 10 stars! The fois gras melts in your mouth, the fish in butter sauce is quintessential Brittany, the cheese platter is the best of cheeses France has to offer. We hired them on the spot! It wasn't until the following July that we made an appointment to have a cake tasting. Two days before the wedding. Now, most brides would be in panic mode, but after having sampled all of the above we were 150% confident the Fraisier cake was going to be out of this world. It was. We followed up with un Gateau Chocolat. It was akin to entering heaven (whatever that is for you). Magnificent!

The owner helped us make a selection that was based on seasonal ingredients, fit the theme of our wedding and fulfilled my desire of decadence. I wanted everyone to be in love not only with the experience of our wedding (it was at a Castle) but also with the exceptional quality and taste of the food. Creating a visual, aromatic gourmet experience. Kemper did not let me down!

Select the linens, cutlery, and dishes that compliment your theme at their facility. The day of? Ya'll. Let me tell you. They were like a well-oiled machine. Each course magically appeared, every plate disappeared in perfect harmony with the flow of the wedding. While we were dancing a new plate appeared, in between games a new plate. My wine glass was never empty! Yet, I hardly ever saw the staff. Perfection. I wish I could have that sort of service every day. *sigh* You already know it comes at a price, but let me tell you it is worth every dollar. 1 year and 1 day later I still have friends and family commenting on the food. It was epic! They should open a restaurant and you should book them for your next event!
