Should have read the reviews. The host was kind and brought our stroller up the enterance stairs. We were starving but not relieved by the menu so the same host suggested the guacamole that comes with bread rather then chips like the US. My son loved it. Also we ordered a appetizer mixer for about 15 euros. Everything was fish based and fried. Lets just say we had a second dinner elsewhere. I noticed this place is always packed from walking by so many times. It's because of the fun rum based beach drinks. The stars are for service and fun environment in Saint Germaine. Skip the food.

My wife and I love everything rum so this was a natural stop for us. We have been there twice in four years and we love the place. The drinks are great and it is just a fun place to stop for a few drinks while walking around Paris.

The rudest restaurant I've been to. Sat at a table for 45 minutes and wasn't even visited by a server for a bottle of water. I flagged down the waiter who dismissively indicated he would be come over several times and never did. There were only 3 waitstaff for a restaurant with at least 80 patrons. Eventually, our group left the restaurant. Would absolutely not recommend this unorganized and unprofessional establishment.

We were absolutely exhausted and had a late lunch so we were looking for a drink and something light to eat. This restaurant/bar was right down the street from our hotel (hotel Madison), so we popped by around 9:30pm on a Saturday - almost couldn't get seated! This place was buzzing with all sorts of people - great atmosphere.
We got exactly what we were looking for...a small plate and a good drink...the drink menu is VERY impressive. So unique! We both had the mango mojito...delicious. Highly recommend for a cocktail or a small bite to eat before or after a night out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robin M.Houston, États-Unis296182674 avr. 2017
Great place to pre-game and enjoy libations prior to dinner. If you want to enjoy food here they offer that as well. I will suggest that if you get the cod fritters you MUST get the sauce which you pay for on side. It is next to the item and make sure you ask otherwise it will not be brought out with the fritters. It made the world of a difference. The drinks are strong and amazing and the place is a little tropical oasis in the middle of Paris.

Every time we are in Paris, we come here. Every day. For years.
Window seats are our favourite. The window facing the Blvd. Saint-Germain has been partially painted over. But we can still enjoy people watching. We used to read through Pariscope while drinking. After 51 years of publication, it has gone for good since October this year. People, mostly locals, at neighbouring tables are always interesting. We have once experienced a Bachelorette Party.
We like all the drinks we have tried. For small bites we now only order Accras de Morue and Boudin Antillais. It is usually packed late afternoons and early evenings. Orders may take a little while to come. With one single exception in all the years we are here, the servers have been friendly.
Coming from the Louvre, cross the Pont des Arts, facing the Institut de France, on your right, there is a small opening that leads you onto a narrow street. Plan some time for walking through it: art galleries next to each other on both sides. At one point, the street splits into two. Take the Lumas (the art shop for photography) side onto a quieter street with a few cute shops for children's clothing. At the end of this street, it is La Rhumerie.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Angeline P.Queens, New York, États-Unis2875381138 juil. 2012
We came in on a Saturday afternoon in search of a drink and a snack. I had the "make your own punch" with passion fruit. When my order arrived, it was a glass full of rum, a bottle of sugar water, and three halves of passion fruit. When I gave a very confused look to my server, he explained that I was just to scoop the entire passion fruit into the glass of rum, add sugar as necessary, and ice cubes if I wanted it cold. It was wonderful! Coming from a city where fancy cocktails cost a premium, it was nice to be able to do something myself.
Josh K. got a flight of rums. I liked one, and thought the other three were filler. For the price though, it was actually not a bad deal (and it was a ton of rum!).
As for our snack, it left much to be desired. Avoid the guacamole with the fish (the fish is mixed in! A little strange), and go for the fried fish. We discovered this too late. Don't make our same mistake!
I would happily come back.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aaron W.Binghamton, États-Unis253410 mai 2017
I'm a fan of good rum, so there was no way we were leaving Paris without checking this out. The selection was impressive and between the mixed drinks, infused rums, and rum flights, it's hard to imagine not being able to find something to suit your mood. The food from the bar menu was just fine and went well with the drinks. Will return.

There is nothing better then a Sunday evening in June at this place with incredible rumsfeld and live jazz. The virgin mojito here is my favorite drink I the world
Went there this past July. Service nonexistent. Waited for half an hour and no service so left and went next door to Le Mondrian. Had most charming waiter there
Also prices have been raised considerably at the rhumerie. Not as pleasant atmosphere. Tables have been added and it's extremely crowded nowHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mike A.Santa Monica, États-Unis1896621623 févr. 2013
This is a biased review. I love rum. I am writing a book about rum. I am way into rum. So if you place in front of me a place that is devoted to rum, I will have a very hard time not liking it. As was the case with this place.
Rums from all over the world! Well ... the parts of the world that make rum, that is. Rum drinks all down the menu! Rum for everyone! Well ... everyone who orders it and wants to pay to consume it.
I had a St. Etienne from Martinique that I actually didn't care for that much. Too smoky. And I had a Bacardi 8 with Coke to get the St. Etienne out of my mouth. My brother had the Hemingway, which was way too girly to be named that, and the Jungle Cookie, which was about as girly as it sounds.
The bill came to about €40. Not bad. I think we might go back again tonight. Rum rum rum. Rhum.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
