Le Tape Bar

While the interior of Tape Bar looks like you just stumbled smack dab into the middle of a Brooklyn dive bar, with graffiti and bumper stickers to match, it is the staff, the clientele, and the truly "je ne sais quoi" atmosphere that grabs you. Their mojitos are excellent, the music is superb, and the scene very young-Parisian-cool.
A total recommend. If the toilets worked better, I would give it 5 stars.

Good selection of drinks at a fair price. The bartender was laid back and spoke English relatively fluently. Would recommend this to college students or dive bar aficionados.

Hellllooooo Hipster. If you like beards, cheap drinks (filled with mediocre alcohol) and lots of beanies than tape is for you. When I first moved to Paris this was our stomping ground, but tape has gotten to cool. Talk about disappointing. Tape has lost its charm and low-key vibe that always attracted me. Today, it looks like an American apparel ad ON CRACK.

I can't emphasize how kickass the staff and the music is. These guys are chilling the beers with more than a fridge, they know what's up. Idk why these other people are so quick to judge the looks of the people in the bar, I actually wonder if they've talked to anyone. But nevertheless, a great bar where you're sure to have a good time any night of the week.

If you speak English and your French isn't very good this is a great place. Jojo, the owner pours the drinks stiff and the patrons are quite pleasant. I'll come back here.

The drinks here are cheap. In Paris that's already 2 stars won. But the place is sooooooooooo alt-cool hipster vibe "i'm more hipster than you, look at my odd facial hair" off the spectrum alternative that it actually comes back round to mainstream in a way because everyone looks the same. If you don't wear a beanie in here you're automatically a tourist. But fortunately the people are very friendly and appear to like tourists.
