Obviously I had to stop by here while in Paris because of its history and it did not let me down! You can tell it's touristy because of all the people who stop by the front and take photos on the place.
In terms of the restaurant itself:
The old-style hot chocolate was too rich and sweet for me but I had to try due to the rave. Either way, I'd say you should try it because it was pretty good. I highly recommend the Croque-Madam! It was the perfect mix of ham and cheese, even though you'd think it's so simple. The bread is so good!!! And the service was delightful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Optimus R.Denver, États-Unis593797074 févr. 2024
bonjour mes amis mangeurs d'escargots !
How can one review a place that has so much history, so much tourist appeal and well, simply ok yet pricey food to appease the large tourist following.
Will keep this brief: the escargot and red wine were good. All other things were simply ok.
One of those places that one visits twice (first and last time).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 29 janv. 2024
Just a wonderful environment. Given it's status as an attraction the staff were quite friendly and accommodating of our general lack of French language skills (though we tried our best!). We were seated right away even in a busy season and day, which was appreciated.
We mainly stopped in for tea and some snacks, so I don't have much to say on the food. Though the cheeses we had were quite lovely, large portions and a fair mix of varieties. I also enjoyed the teas and coffee we shared.
It is very cool to be in a place so frequented by artists and historical figures, and that was the main draw for me here. I think it's a lovely space to stop - especially for tourists like us.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 17 mars 2024
Went to Les Deux Magots after seeing it featured in several travel shows in Paris. The food was delicious, greatly enjoyed my beef tartare. The service was good, but forgivable as they make the food fresh after each course so except to wait longer then usual if you are coming from the states. The restaurant also was busy so this wait is understandable. I enjoyed sitting in their main dining as it had a great atmosphere for good conversation and taking a rest from the busy city streets. Although the weather didn't call for it I'd recommend sitting outside as people watching during the day in that area seems appropriate. The staff reflected the high level of service of such a landmark establishment.

t's cold and rainy today, this is the best choice You can sit here and watch the sunset and the old architectural houses, drink a hot cup of coffee and watch people bustling back and forth on the street. . Show yourself the positive energy of life

Stopped here on a whim after shopping in the area. Despite the "hype" that this restaurant has, I would say that I was hoping for more options from the menu. We were able to sit outside and enjoy our dinner. The best part of our dinner was our waiter who kind and very social. We enjoyed the complimentary bread and olives with our meal, as well.
Dessert options were plentiful and a lot of variety for someone who is wanting coffee/cafe and dessert.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - 20473429984 oct. 2023
Came here for lunch. I didn't know this place was famous until after we had sat down and ordered. Apparently lots of famous artists and writers such as Picasso used to frequent this restaurant back in the day.
We got lucky and only had to wait about 5 mins to be seated.
I ordered the club sandwich which came with smoked salmon, avocado, fresh mango, lettuce, hard-boiled organic egg, and a side of fries. It was really yummy and I very much enjoyed it. The mangos gave a nice touch to it and paired very well with the avocados and eggs. It was perfect.
Friend ordered the lobster sandwich and bf ordered the fish of the day. We also ordered escargot to try, cause why not? It was my first time ever trying it. It had a chewy consistency to it. It wasn't bad for a first timer. My friend and bf liked it. My bf thought his fish was just ok and wish he ordered something else.
Service was great, our waiter was super nice.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 12 sept. 2023
YES! YES! YES!!!!!
Simply the BEST Croque Monsieur I have ever had. The service was good, but if you have a party of more than 1, be prepared to wait. There was a line, for sure.
I chose to sit outside so I did not see the interior. I was off to the side, so my people-watching spot was not the best, but I wanted to return for another Croque Monsieur but did not have time.
Food allergies were not an issue. I am allergic to all 9 tree nuts and sesame seeds.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 24 avr. 2023
Are here twice. It's a historic spot dripping in charm. Service is slow in the way the French give you an unrushed experience.
Ate and drank:
Hot chocolate
Vegetarian salad 2x
The hot chocolate was dark, rich & full of deliciousness . The salad was perfection and at $21e a bargain for its freshness creativity and size. No long lines like Carette & the dessert box the waitress brings over is old school priceless.Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 2
