Miami Beach Senior High School

This is home, my review is a long one coming,
The years between 05-09 were one of the best years I've ever spent in this school. The majority of my happy days were here. I enjoyed coming to school so much.
I enjoyed the teachers, some I appreciated some I didn't.
What I can look back and remember was my experience.
When I started as a freshmen in this school it was like no other experience. At that time there was a lot of crazy stuff happening specially for a 15 year old coming into a school with bigger kids. The school seemed less like a jail which coming from Nautilus middle, that's what it felt like sometimes because we wouldn't really go out or see the day light, not here. I love the different backgrounds, races and languages that made MBSH what it was. You could have different groups you could hang with. It was the best. You could walk around the school and feel like you were actually so happy to be there. So many adventures so many friendships. I wish ppl had my experience growing up coming to this school. Then they transformed it to what it is now and then new buildings took place. Nonetheless, we still built strong foundations and I'll always be a HI-TIDE -305 all Day - alumni!
And shout out to the the classes all the way from 2005,2006,2007,2008, 2009 and even 2010. I made some amazing friends along the way and some graduated before me some after.
Class of 09 all day baby!

As a student of this school, I would not recommend this school for the following reasons:
1. Horrible traffic getting in and out. And out of 3 entrance doors, they choose to have one open meaning we all have to go through one door packed up. You'll also be marked late if you don't arrive on time.

2. Administrators suck. They don't fix shit and make things unreasonably serious when it's not.

3. Some teachers don't teach and don't care

Worst school in Miami Beach, the classes are super boring , most of the teachers don't even know how to teach properly. The teachers mostly right-up the kids for absolutely no reason. When you ask for help to study most of them don't even care. The only thing they know is how to give you bad grades even though you work hard and do your work, and I feel likes it's discrimination against me since I'm African-American. The new assistant principal never gets to a solution and always takes the easiest way which is blaming the student, say "It's the students problem" without any motives. I don't do drugs, alcohol etc. But in my opinion you should not go into this school.

This school is literally the worse. The ac goes down frequently and they take 1 week to repair, the teachers don't know how to teach, and the faculty says that they care about the students opinions when they don't even listen.

I'm currently enrolling my daughter in school here, it seems great except they need to get registration together this school probably houses a min 600 kids and the registration system needs major help, 1-2 people doing registration is a joke. This is the week b4 school starts they know it's goinna b madd crazy... they need major help and system together. Registration forms out groups helping , sumthin so this works seamlessly.. this is really crazy only one computer etc..

Registration took hours..but it was jammed with people...great staff, very courteous!
Hope it's a great school year!

Love this school. It's easy easy to get to and always has parking. The staff has always been friendly and it's a well built school. Very open but at the same time not looking like a jail like some other school. Most of the kids I see there have said they enjoy the school.
