Great place! Wonderful staff! Clean, quiet, fun, beautiful scenery! We stayed for four days and would stay longer if we could've. We definitely will go again! Tents have carpeted floors, real beds, dresser for clothes, etc. Deluxe tents have floors, porches, private bathroom and showers and wood burning stoves. It's a definite find!

Thank you for leaving a review on Yelp.
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us back in 2014. While the views haven't changed much, we've made some major improvements to our camp since you were last here, please come back and visit us soon! - Tim J.Ponte Vedra Beach, États-Unis208613831 juil. 2023
TLDR: We were so disappointed with Under Canvas Moab that we booked other accommodations for our stay in Moab, in spite of losing our money on the remainder of our booking with them.
Be warned: Urban Canvas has no way to address the insane heat of a Moab summer. They do have misters (ours was broken). They also have small battery powered fans in the tents. One of our two fans was broken (not that it helped much in 100+ degree heat). The heat is truly unsafe. Heat stroke and dehydration are real possibilities, especially after a day of activities in Moab. We actually just stayed in our car with AC until evening when it would cool down a little bit.
Cell service is spotty at best and of course, there's no wifi. Our first night there, we were swarmed by biting ants in our bed. No food in the room. The solution was to douse the inside of our small tent with chemicals and offer a 10% discount on our stay (that they never delivered on - they said because we booked through a 3rd party). It didn't get cool enough to sleep until about 12AM and the ant attack happened at 3AM. We stayed out on the patio after the chemical dousing and didn't get any more sleep. We were out. We booked new accommodations and just accepted the loss.
We did attempt to cancel our booking about a week out, but Urban Canvas was not willing to cancel or make any changes to our booking.
One other thing to mention, this property is right on a major highway and the noise is so bad that the hotel gives you ear plugs at check-in. We were too hot to sleep or notice the noise, so it wasn't a factor, but thought it was worth a mention.
The cost of this stay was in the premium or luxury range. Customer service and accommodations were below one star. I've stayed at better Motel 6s.
We've stayed in many "glamping" hotels, before, including one right next door to Urban Canvas and have always really enjoyed the service and facilities. This was miserable. Don't make the same expensive mistake we made.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - 17 sept. 2021
I really Loved this place. The tent and amenities were great but we had 2 major issues. One was fixable and 1 wasn't.
1. Our bed squeaked with every move. By the time we payed down, we were too tired to complain.
2. The location is beautiful but the road noise was intolerable! It ruined the feeling of being in the wilderness with nature fir me!
They supplied ear plugs but they were no use. All night long the trucks were so loud that there wasn't a minute of peace.
I wanted to hear wilderness or crickets not the drone of 18 wheelers. So sad.
I loved the concept and would definitely do this again but I'd check it out a little closer next time.
If you are deaf or like loud road noise this place is for you!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 47841033929125 avr. 2021
Under Canvas - Moab was a great experience, especially for our first time glamping. We were there in April and there was a wind advisory out.
The reception tent is gorgeous with sitting areas to hang out and free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate for you to take (all just generic stuff). On particular days they will have live music or yoga in the morning and smores every night by sunset. The live music was very serene at sunset. There are different fire pits available with one main one but they are 1-2 others you can ask them to fire up if you'd like social distancing.
One weird thing is that we asked (one couple) and one staff member said no because of the wind, but another group (family) asked and they said yes... OK whatever. The smores packet were also pretty cheap IMO with some not even having hershey chocolates but like mini snickers or 3 musketeers.
The tent was really specious, which great lounging chairs and it was really easy to use the wood fire stove for warmth. There's a very comfortable king size bed with 5 or so pillows! There's communal bathrooms (each stall has a shower and toilet) that was very clean and upscale for glamping. Fresh towels in the first door for you to grab as well. You can hear everything so it was so important to wear ear plugs when sleeping because the the wind was crazy that night and whoosh all over the canvas tent.
The price is high and I think the value is so/so. Our main driver of staying here was the close proximity to Arches National Park and having the ability to see the stars which we could only see at 3-4AM (woke up from the wind) but were glorious.Helpful 22Thanks 0Love this 22Oh no 0 - Rachael R.Fort Collins, États-Unis6091153962 nov. 2021Avis mis à jour
My first visit to Under Canvas Moab happened to be planned right at the start of the pandemic, so I cut it short and opted to cash out my remaining night as a voucher instead of a refund. The staff was extremely accommodating and understanding during that time, and I'm glad to see nothing has changed. Our 2.0 experience this time around was just unforgettable.
First let me say it's the best night sleep you'll ever have in the desert. I can't speak highly enough of the beds. It's like you're the stick inside of a gooey fire-roasted marshmallow. Fuzzy and floofy blankets engulf you. The wood burning stove and flushing toilets/hot showers inside the tent make it a cozy and comfortable refuge. If the adventures in the surrounding Moab desert weren't so enticing, I would've stayed in that bed all day!
As for the customer service at Under Canvas, it is above and beyond. The staff is personable, knowledgeable about the area, and just happy to be there. I showed up to find that someone on staff had complimentarily upgraded me from a Safari tent to a suite! What an incredible surprise! They also organize fun (and complimentary) camp activities like stargazing, s'mores by the fire, and live music. We partook in all of these great offerings. I do wish the stargazing guide knew a bit more about astronomy, but we got to see some cool stars and planets regardless. We enjoyed all the resort had to offer.
I look forward to visiting Under Canvas again. Im considering making it an annual trip. If you're looking for a memorable, luxurious glamping adventure in a spectacular area, I recommend Under Canvas Moab!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 08 nov. 2020Avis précédentI visited Under Canvas Moab earlier this year and it was a great experience. I booked the Deluxe tent, which was incredibly comfortable and spacious. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the area, and the views were spectacular. Unfortunately, my timing was not good, as the pandemic had just begun, so a lot of the amenities were scaled back when I was there. I really look forward to going back during a "normal" time.

If you haven't gone glamping yet you are definitely missing out.
I wasn't sure what to expect when looking up Under Canvas Moab but I had done tons of research on camping in the area and it was clear to see that glamping aka glamorous camping was the way to go to enjoy the Moab desert in a different way than ever experienced.
It all started with check in, where as soon as you drove up there was a person sitting outside of a rather large tent with a smile. She gave us a big cheese and waved. As we approached the staff was super friendly directing us into the big tent for check in. The big tent was decorated very warm and inviting and we received the full run down about camp. They also told us that we had arrived just in time to join the free and included guided nature hike through the desert.
Our welcome staffer also guided us to our private safari tent which included a king size bed, dresser and chair. The thing we were most excited to see were two large industrial battery charges for our electronics. This was a great touch and really allows you to take pictures of the beauty that surrounds you. We got to wake up and enjoy a hot air balloon as we sipped our morning drinks.
We enjoyed a hike around the entire area and learned about the specialness of the Moab desert and we even got to hang around the fire and meet new friends when the staff provided late night s'mores for everyone. The grills are easy to get to for cooking and they even include covered areas for eating - but beware of spiders and bring light - there wasn't very much light and we cooked after the sunset hike.
Lastly one note to make unless you get a deluxe tent the bathrooms are smaller with tiny showers. But it was a fun experience of brushing teeth outside with a beautiful view - just bring flip flops for showers and you will be fine. The site provides a great towel tent for linens.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 12 mai 2021
This place looked SUPER cute and I was so excited to book a night here on a quick weekend getaway to Moab for the my brother, fiance, and myself. It is pricey for what you get, but I guess that's what glamping is all about? Anyway, some pros and cons:
Pros:
-Staff was fantastic- super friendly and responsive. We were missing a lamp which they provide for you in the tent so that you can get around easy at night. As soon as we realized this and called up to front desk, they brought one out to us.
-The tents were cute and the beds/mattresses were comfy.
-Very close to the bathrooms which was convenient.
Cons:
-No parking next to your tent. This isn't too big of a deal because the entire site itself is not large and the staff will drive you and your luggage to and from your tent upon arrival and checkout. Not being able to be right by the car is just a bit concerning at night for security reasons.
-Not much privacy here. The tents are VERY close together and you can definitely see other people in their tents if they have the doors/screened windows open
-Very close to the highway. The pics on their website are a bit deceiving and definitely do not show you how close you are to the road, so there's really only a couple of places to get real nice pics with the background.
-Did i mention pricey? I believe it was close to $400/night.
One issue I have to mention that rubbed us the wrong way was that we were fresh from a non-glamping camping trip where we had all the privacy in the world. This may have been partly to blame for thinking that at Under Canvas we could just set up a little bb gun target practice right outside of our tent (facing away from other occupied tents, of course). When the staff member drove us to our tent, we asked about this to make sure it was okay, and he said yes. After unpacking and getting settled, we did just that. Not 30 minutes goes by and another staff member came by asking us to please stop and put it away. Pretty sure a neighbor complained, (to be honest, neighbors were not the smile and wave when you pass by type) but either way, it just didn't feel like the staff supported us in any way with this situation especially since we asked permission to begin with. We complied, but this kind of set the tone a bit to the rest of our experience.
If you're not used to a real camping experience, this could be something fun to do. It is pricey though and we likely will not be back.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Clare B.Salt Lake City, États-Unis0820 mars 2023
Lots of what has already been said. This product is extremely overpriced in my opinion. You get there and then there are a lot of hidden fees. Maybe the resort fee should be a bit lower if you are staying there off season? I mean i am not sure what the extra $50 a day was for because I had no housekeeping (shouldn't just be upon request, you guys could at least empty the trash without us telling you) and the shower was ice cold. Also we were placed in the worst tent and i saw that there were other tents open. I should have just camped. Great staff tho. This is about your product and what you are promoting compared to what we actually get.

It's a nice glamping place but don't stay in summer unless you can tolerate 100+F heat during the day with minimal breeze. The rents don't have power outlet, no WiFi in the facility. Good for fAll weather tho you can sit outside by the fire pit and have your own little fireplace inside the tent.
I'm here on a hot summer in July when it's 102F outside, the mist system doesn't work when I arrived. Tent provides one portable charger, one table fan and one table lamp. No WiFi and share communal bathroom.
I would come back for cooler weather.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kate L.New York, États-Unis35565419026 avr. 2021
I really wanted to like Under Canvas. Like really really really wanted to like it. The photos are stunning, and I planned my trip to Moab months in advance specifically to stay here. But the photos don't match with the reality, and the experience was incredibly overpriced.
The positives:
The people working here were so friendly and the vibe was cute. When the sunlight hit, it looked pretty through the lens of my phone camera.
The negatives:
It just wasn't as advertised. Our tent backed up to the highway, and it's all I heard as opposed to the expected nature sounds. The shower stalls smelled funny, and the water from the shower flooded the whole room -- toilets, garbage, and all. The bed was wickedly uncomfortable, and I woke up hourly throughout the night. Never had this happen in my life. Our tent floor (carpet on top of tent lining) had weird stains only a few weeks into the season, and it really grossed me out. Lastly, the wood flooring in the photos was nowhere to be found, neither inside the tent, or the front stoop. When we ate on the floor for dinner, it was hard and uncomfortable earth -- again, straight up like camping.
Some other recent reviews on TripAdvisor seemed to echo what I experienced. Maybe something changed with this year's setup? Even just better expectations would have made the experience better. But Under Canvas Moab is not delivering a $400/night glamping experience. And unfortunately, I won't be staying here again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - La C.Phoenix, États-Unis221117 juil. 2022
Fantastic experience! Spent one night here and wish I had stayed longer. The staff and other guests were very friendly, the tent was beautiful and clean. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay. The staff was kind and helpful, the grounds provided gas grills, cornhole, hammocks, gas fires, and more in a communal area that was enjoyed by many of the guests. We sat around a fire with a family while enjoying a magnificent sunset and lightning show.
The price point was a little high and could be a deterrent for an extended stay for a lot of people.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
