Probably one of the best, yet cheapest and big portion sized thai food in the washington area. The service was good, and the food was delicious. Perfect for some casual dining and if you want a full meal.
Pad see ew was $15!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 5 févr. 2024
I have been coming to this little hole in the wall place for years. The Owners that started it sold it to the new Owners and then the new Owners have expanded though I've never been sat in the "new wing". It could honestly use more updating and remodeling but I don't care about that. The food is delicious!
It had been inconsistent depending on who was cooking on a certain day when the curries were thin. On my most recent visit though, it was great. We always order Pad See Ew with fresh tofu and this time we ordered Green Curry with Chicken. Both were on the lunch menu and included soup or salad and we ordered 2 spring rolls.
The Pad See Ew is always cooked perfectly, not too dry and not too saucey. We had it come with Chinese broccoli for an upcharge. The green curry was great but since I don't eat green bell peppers I asked them to sub for mushrooms.
Another favorite dish that was the Khao Mun Gai Tod which is essentially fried chicken with yellow rice and raisins. The last time I ordered it, it wasn't the same but I may try it again and I often also order the panang curry.
This place has been a favorite of mine for many years.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Charlotte S.Bellevue, États-Unis48122 mars 2024
Arrived 4:30 pm to avoid crowds, the restaurant only has another table with two customers. They were served after 5 mins. I have ordered only one noodle dish and nobody else surround me are waiting except delivery. Till 5:10 pm the only one dish didn't even served and keep telling me the kitchen is making it. I just got very irritated after few times. I have decided to cancel and walk away first time in my life. Very bad experience.

The food was fantastic. The service and people were so kind and caring. The seating was great as well as the inside area. I believe that they should have more customers. The day before, we went to a hotpot place, it was ok, but know that we tried this restaurant we want to come here more. Ten times better than any restaurant, especially a hotpot place. We loved this restaurant and will come more, very nice!

Noodle Boat has been around for a long time and as long as I can remember growing up in Issaquah. I think I've been once before (maybe 10 years ago...) but it's been a while. Since I was in the mood for Thai food, I decided to give this place a go.
After reading previosu Yelp reviews, I learned that they had changed management within the past year and that the food wasn't as authentic as before. With that information in mind, I chose a safe and common Thai dish option- Phad Kee Mao with chicken. My friend chose the fresh rolls and the Whatever You Called (yellow curry with carrots, pineapple, onions, broccoli and water chestnuts) with chicken. We both ordered 5 star spicy dishes as reviewers have previously commented that the spice is catered to American tastes and to order up a few stars
Service was prompt; we were immediately seated and ordered and received our food within 15 minutes after. The server was also very nice and polite.
The FRESH ROLLS were passable. They didn't have bean sprouts which my friend doesn't like anyway so that worked out. However, the peanut sauce that came with it tasted like a literal peanut butter cookie or peanut brittle... it was just way too sweet to the point where I just opted to eat the fresh roll on its own.
The PHAD KEE MAO had the right texture, but tasted more like Phad See Ew because of how sweet it was- it almost tasted like teriyaki sweet in my opinion. The chicken was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. Also, the five star spice tasted like a two star spice level at most.
The WHATEVER YOU CALLED was disappointing. It was heavy in coconut milk but really lacked yellow taste and flavor. Like everything else we ordered it was way too sweet. They also forgot or didn't have water chestnuts in the dish as described on the menu. The curry was slightly spicier than my noodles, but still a three star spice level at most.
The atmosphere is kinda run down. It's clean, but the chairs and tables are old. It looked like they were renovating half of the restaurant though. It's a very casual and not very trendy or fancy by any means. Noodle Boat is Christian-owned as implied by the Bible verse painting(s) in the restaurant and contemporary Christian music playing in the background.
Portion sizes are significantly larger than other Thai restaurants in the area like Thai Khao San on Main Street, and so you do get more value for your money. However, I think I'll be sticking with Khao San for their more authentic tasting Thai food. If Noodle Boat ups the spice and cuts back on the sugar, then maybe I'll be back.
Overall: 2.5/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphereHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 2 - Gary C.Redmond, États-Unis022324 mars 2024
Lousy experience...
Called in an order on Sunday night around 8:10 for just Pad Thai, was told 15-20 minutes. Showed up at 8:25, paid my $16 bill and proceeded to wait and wait. During that wait, more people showed up with to-go orders and were put in the same position as me (waiting). During the 25 minutes I waited the host did nothing but make smoothies...for who, I don't know, no one waiting got their order. Finally after 25 minutes I had enough (kid and dog waiting in the car) and asked for a refund. The host got one of the ladies from the kitchen to process my refund and I left quite unhappy. 45 minutes of wasted time. Look I understand they were busy and I understand these things happen...but Noodle Boat, communicate to your customers...let them know what's happening, tell them an accurate estimate when they place the order, offer up a revised estimate along the way...do something...don't just leave an ever growing pack of people just inside your entrance wondering what the hell is going on.
Lots of Thai restaurants in Issaquah...I like that you are open an hour after the others, but you've got to be better than this...
Gave 2 stars because although this time was a major fail, you've been solid in the pastHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Lillian Q.Sammamish, États-Unis0283212 nov. 2023
I don't know why people gave this little restaurant such low rating but I actually find it to be the best in the area. It's conveniently located opposite to Target. The owner took over the business a year ago but she's really nice to customers -always smiling and I feel like it's the real Thai cuisine here, instead of just being overly sweet like others. Coming here at night feels very warming. It's my only go-to Thai restaurant in Issaquah.

Got chicken pad Thai with vegetables. There's no need to add the vegetables. Also got the Thai tea which was really good and I would highly recommend.

Spring rolls or small but there were many of them and the crunch on them was very good. The fried rice with mixed seafood where is moist and perfectly cooked; The highlight was the race which was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. #31 what is good as a side but nothing exciting for a main dish. The castle noodle was just OK. The coconut soup with tofu some enjoyed while others did not find to special.

Update: my co-worker (in the same order) just found a wad of hair in her food. Tossed out her meal because that's just very gross. So... that's lovely.
Giving three stars because I've eaten here in years past and it's been delicious but I just ordered the Jungle Curry. It's not curry. It's a brown water-viscosity broth that replicates the pungent smell of urine. This is what I get for not looking up photos on yelp before I decide what to eat.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 019 déc. 2018Avis précédentRelatively good paced service, and delicious Thai food. Wonderful recipe. Not like most places where the phad Thai has the reddish dye in it. It has no color and the spice levels are extremely accurate.
My face was burning up!
The service was okay. The staff is there to serve delicious food and make money. Which isn't bad at all. When we left, they seemed okay.
I would be back because the service was good enough and the food was delicious!
