Really wanted fish and chips today after a long day at work.
Walked in, nobody is at the front desk, so I waited and looked over the menu, still no one shows up, saw a waiter on the bar side, so I got his attention and asked if anyone was working he says yes, but goes on about his business. still no one comes. It's not that busy so maybe no one is working?
I'm hungry, I've waited long enough.
Going next door to Saffron betcha they have Salmon Kabobs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Connie M.Sterling, États-Unis435 janv. 2020
What a special neighborhood pub experience we have had recently at O'Faolain's! In addition to several recent Friday night visits for drinks, appetizers and fabulous live music recently, we held a large afternoon private party this weekend that could not have gone better. Francis worked very closely with us to plan a great party and our "day of" service from Dimitri and Jay Jay with management from Fiona could not have been better. The food, the drinks, and the atmosphere was wonderful and everyone had a great time. Thank you to all for a great event!

Once again disappointing. 56 min for service, did not honor special request and got side order incorrect. Crap.

Hi Bob
Not an excuse but we were very busy with the women’s World Cup final this morning. I was not aware of any 56 minute ticket times so I would really like if you could give me a call on 703 444 9796 and ask for the manager on duty to discuss your experience. I wish you would of spoken with me before you left because after talking with the server he acknowledges he did mess up your bread choice for your soup but offered to bring your first choice and you declined.5 févr. 2014Avis précédentI have been going here for years. Clean those taps! Get the beer temp down. Bar is getting worse and worse. For get it.

Great menu. Quick, attentive service. The manager came over to make sure everything was to our liking. Enjoyed the Irish music playing in the dining room. My son's moving to the area, so I'll definitely go back next time I'm there. I truly enjoy an authentic Irish pub, and this is one.

Really nice to hear that Steve and thanks for visiting with us!
Glad you had fun and enjoyed the experience. Thanks as well for the compliments on the service. - Heather C.Corpus Christi, États-Unis016216 juin 2019
Just sat for 20 minutes in an empty restaurant, ordered drinks and never got them, not even water, and therefore we left. We didn't even get the chance to order food. Awful service, and probably why there was barely anyone there.

Excellent brunch, we're the only customers this morning and I don't know why. The boxty waffles are amazing. All the food perfectly cooked, great friendly service and cheap mimosa... Perfect

We intentionally chose O'Faolains this morning for a brunch as we have been here for dinner and it was very good. We have heard all about the brunch, read the menu online and couldn't wait to get there sometime. I called mid week and asked about reservations. The gentleman told me 2 dinner spots were available, so I clarified that I wanted a brunch reservation. By the way he responded, I understood that they did not take reservations for brunch so I could walk in. We got there about 10:25 am and were told differently. (And, we weren't the only ones based on what the couple ahead of us expressed) They were packed with reservations, despite open tables (reserved for 11:15 time frame). We were told that we could go to the bar area and wait for an open spot, and if there was a no show, the hostess would let us know. This was the first disappointment. We were able to get a seat at the bar after about 15 mins, so we were good with that until they gave us a 3 breakfast (only) item menu, that we were told was the same across the restaurant for the day. It wasn't the usual menu, and no where (online, or at the restaurant did it say the brunch menu was different for the day). My husband is a big reuben fan and looked forward to one today. We settled and ordered. So with 3 items of choice, you would think, we would have received our meal fairly quickly, but it took about 20 mins to arrive, luke warm. Immediately, when we got our meal we noticed a new paper menu was out on the bar area. We inquired an found out that at 11, the lunch menu was effective. What?!? Disappointment #3, if we were told, and waited a bit to order, we could have had better choices. Nevertheless, what happened to BRUNCH. The bar server told me that they "ran out of breakfast food", and so didn't expect it either. Ugh. Then when we got our check there was an overcharge for my $2 mimosa, charging $5. No where does it say prices are increased for St. Patricks day. When we got home we noticed that 2 mimosas purchased at the bar, while we waited for a seat, were also charged as $5/each. Disappointing. For one of the biggest days of the year for an Irish restaurant, it seems the organization and definitely the communication, written and to the staff, was very poor. Looked again at the website to see if I missed something and there was no place that mentioned that the brunch menu was not offered as advertised. Nevertheless, not the amazing brunch experience we expected.

Hi Barbara
Sorry to hear about your disappointment with your experience yesterday St Paddy’s Day. Just to clear up a few things for you and I hope this helps you understand the amount of organising and the planning that goes into an event like yesterday to allow us operating from 7am until 2am with over 1000 people walking through our doors. Our Managment and staff her at O’s start planning for this at least two months in advance. Our brunch menu is second to non and we do offer a wide variety of dishes every weekend Saturday and Sunday but there is NO WAY any kitchen our size would be able to cater a full brunch menu with the sheer volume of people that come through the doors on St Patrick’s Day . In regards to your Ruben it is one of our best selling dishes but also a time consuming dish and because of the size of our grill which fully facilitates our Ruben turn our on any regular business day offering something like this on St Paddy’s day would surely have our kitchen crashing on the busiest day of the year for us trade wise. In regards to your mimosas first let me add you got a 20oz glass for $5 instead or the usual Sunday brunch offer of 7oz for $2 so I don’t think we misled anyone there we just did not have the time to pour 7oz of mimosas for customers I’d have to assigned a designated mimosa pourer for the duration of our breakfast menu. Our website does have our St Paddy’s Bash event poster on our music and event section and has had for the month leading up to the big day. Which says Kegs and Eggs with pints of green mimosa. Even our al la cart menu for St Paddy’s day consists of a limited 5 Irish easy prep options again this is because of sheer volume on the day and consideration for our staff that work very hard on prep on the lead up to and on the big day to pull it all of. This day usually ends up been a 17 hour day for most of them and I have to keep there welfare and sanity levels in mind because they works so hard every year along with the Managment team to make sure we can pull this day off. All that been said I’d love you be able to reach out to you and organise a day for you and your husband to come back and get our TOP OF THE RANGE RUBEN and experience our great little neighbourhood bar on a day the would not have 998 other people coming through the door. Please call 703 444 9796 and ask for Fiona or Francis - David O.Columbia, États-Unis215116 mars 2019
Excellent food and excellent service from actual Irish people! I had an incredible shepherd's pie and my girlfriend had an excellent chicken pot pie on Pi Day. I finished mine and didn't want it to end - it was so delicious, and my small girlfriend had another meal worth of leftovers. We were full and very satisfied. The atmosphere was great. I had a wonderful evening. Definitely recommend this Irish Pub and would become a regular if I lived in the area.

I love this bar. It's the neighborhood spot to go. Everyone knows your name and what you drink. The bar staff and management always treat you like a friend. The food is amazing Chef Britt is a welcome addition to the team. I love the consistency of the service and the food! I highly recommend it! Try the shepherds pie!!!
