This place was super cool. I went right at open and absolutely no one was there, so I had virtually the entire place to myself for the first hour I was there. When you walk in, there is a beautiful fountain and several trails to explore. Off many of these trails are different animal exhibits (monkeys, birds, goats, turtles, otters, a porcupine, and others).
Coming around toward the back, you reach the greenhouse, which is rife with tons of different types of flora. There are also several other wildlife exhibits inside such as a gator (or croc?), monkeys, flamingos, and iguanas.
Altogether, I probably spent three hours here, and I definitely could have spent more if I had not been on a schedule. If you like the outdoors, hiking, and flora/fauna, this place is definitely a must see!

Beautiful botanical gardens even when it's raining!
Plenty of different species of animals and plants too see.
Fantastic location to take some memorable photos.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Isabella G.Portland, États-Unis07316 févr. 2020
Visited here thinking it was just a botanical garden, but they also have a lot of animals. There were turtles, flamingoes, monkeys, and birds inside and the cages all looked a bit dirty, run down, and small and it didn't seem like they had much stimulation. On the plaques they said the animals were there as rescues, but I don't know how much better this place really is-- seems more like a zoo for toddlers to gawk at animals. The gardens themselves were ok, it was a bit run down overall. At 5€/person, it's a bit of a waste, especially since it's on the outskirts of Nice. I felt bad giving my money to this place after seeing the conditions the animals were in.

This is a garden located by the airport and if you have an hour to spare or you want to relax this is a great way to spend your time. The entrance fee is 2 euros, free for the kids. Great place to spend time with the family, you will see an amazing collection of owls, parrots but you will also have the opportunity to see less familiar species for the area: wallabies, beautiful fishes in the aquarium.....Well worth the visit especially if you have curious kids.

This place has nothing on the Botanical Gardens in Montreal, but it's inexpensive and great for a change of scenery with kids. My 2 year old loved the fountains, birds, and playground. We had lunch at an outdoor snack bar, which was overpriced, but really hit the spots. We killed about 3 hours here no problem, and hopped the bus back and forth from downtown- it was about 15 mins each way.

The parc is a great place to go but there are two problems. First, if you go by bus there is almost nothing to indicate where to enter and when you do work it out you have to walk behind a petrol station through a very unattractive area and over 500 metres. If you take the wrong direction it is at least a kilometre. There should be a permanent entrance at the south end near the bus stops.
Secondly, if you are seriously interested in plants the system of labelling is very poor. Most plants are not labelled, some are wrongly labelled and the labels themselves are poorly maintained. To be a serious botanic garden this issue needs a lot of attention.
However if you are just interested in a pleasant outing, interesting animals and nice gardens this is still a good place to go to, which I recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (jerome…)Dijon, Côte-d'Or423410 janv. 2011
