We just got back from our Honeymoon in Paris. Paris Walks was recommended by someone we knew. We booked 3 private walks over 3 days, and each was better than we could have ever imagined. We did the Flea Market, Musee d'orsey , and Monmartre. Peter, provided incredible information about the various vendors, and French history. Iris blew our minds with her unparalleled knowledge of the art, learning more about the paintings and artists, than I ever imagined. Finally, we walked around the beautiful streets of Monmartre with Beatrice, who helped provide amazing intel on the area and is rich history.
My husband and I could not have asked for more, and will definitely enlist their guidance the next time we go to Paris.
Thank you!!!

I went on the WW2/Resistance walk in October. Our guide was an American, and very knowledgeable. The tour lasted about two hours, and every minute was interesting. We visited lots of sites, heard many stories, had all our questions answered, and had a great time.
I'd certainly go on another, for 12E.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - M M.San Francisco, États-Unis3265219 déc. 2017
Excellent tours, super knowledgeable, university educated in history. Tours given by husband and wife team, he's English but has lived in France for nearly 30 years and so not only does he know history but also french culture, you can ask him why things are this way or that in France. Price is superb and so you end up doing multiple tours and get educated in a number of different neighborhoods. I would recommend this tour company to all of my friends!

We just spent a week in Paris for our honeymoon. We signed up for a few tours in advance and then found out about Paris Walks from a friend who lives in the city. This was our favorite tour AND the cheapest.
We went on the Revolution tour of the Latin Quarter. Our guide was knowledgable and full of great stories. We saw everything from Napoleon's hat to the place Marat was murdered in his bath tub.
When we return to Paris, we are hoping to go on their tour of Montmartre or their chocolate tour (yum!). This is a great company and an incredible deal.
The only problem with our tour was the freezing weather. So, dress warm in the fall/winter for this 2 hour tour through history.

Thank you for your kind comments! Yes always dress for changeable weather and wear comfortable walking shoes! The Chocolate Tour is one of the few that needs pre-booking, other wise just show up of course. Look forward to seeing you again!

What a wonderful tour! Rochelle (sp?) led us on a walking tour of Montmartre, and it was truly a highlight of our entire trip. She deftly combined history, current culture, architecture, art, and humor into a tour that took us down alleys we'd never have discovered. Even on a freezing, drizzly january day it was worth being outside for 3 solid hours for the tour.
Our only regret is that we didn't take more tours with Paris Walks-- there's so much more we could have seen and learned! Plus, for the price, it just can't be beat.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Information sur le responsable du commerce

This company is Amazing!! Firstly Oriel and Peter responded on email so quickly, answering questions and setting up private tours for our family. Our tour guides Chris, Mary Ellen and Brad were brilliant! If you travel to Paris you absolutely should attend as May tours as possible- we discovered parts of Paris we would never have seen and these tours even kept our teenager and 12 year old totally engaged ! Thank you so much for doing what you do so well!

I love knowing the 'gossip' legends & scandals of history! Our tour guide Chris told us of layered histories & scandals that occurred as we meandered through city streets. Those lovely door ways & allies all have their secrets & Chris is well read & thoroughly versed on his subjects & areas. He paints verbal descriptions of stories of different time periods; I felt as if I was walking with a guide who could transcend those time periods & time travel through history of Parisian streets!

All of of the walking tours I've done, Paris Walks has to be my favorite company. I' enjoy that they have the every day schedule of their most popular walks (rain or shine) and they also offer a list of more specialized walks each month. I've done two of the normal walks - Marais Circuit 2 and the St Germaine des Pres walk, and I also did a guided tour of the Sewer museum (yes really!) with them.
I've enjoyed each walk immensely, they also start at the proper time where the booklet says the tour guide can be found, the prices are reasonable, and the groups that I've been on have been pretty small. The tour guide's really know their stuff and their talks are informative without being dry - without a guide, I never would have noticed the carved face of a one-eyed prostitute.
If you're looking for a walking tour in Paris, look no further than Paris Walks.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Information sur le responsable du commerce

Save your money! The tour guide was not personable or entertaining and seemed to have a limited amount of knowledge. When I tried to ask a couple of questions I got very vague answers. Also, the owner, Oriel, is a very unpleasant person who cares nothing about customer satisfaction. If you try to give any type of negative critique, she is going to attack you and try to put the blame on you, not the guide. I think she does this so that people are too intimidated to post anything negative. We have been on walking tours in many, many cities and I would recommend sticking with the free walking tours. Yes, they're not really free because you're expected to give the guide a large tip, but the guides work hard to please you and provide a great tour so that you're happy to tip them. With Paris Walks they collect your 15 euros up front so they're not motivated after that to provide a good tour.

This client made a very unpleasant, personal and public attack on one of our
guides, who is a very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable young woman.
We do not understand why she should wish to be so vengeful unless perhaps
she misunderstood something the guide said and took offence.
We were sorry she didn't enjoy the tour, but as the guide has so many good
reports and compliments from other customers we did not feel the attack was
in any way justified. People are usually rather pleased to have a person who
is so well placed to give them insights into France, it's language and
culture, in perfect English, and the guide has quite a fan club amongst
older educated women. - Olga P.Brooklyn, États-Unis416516 déc. 2014
Excellent walking tours of Paris. I went on two with Cherie of Montmarte and Le Marais. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable and the tours were interesting. The tours run a little long, at least with her (3+ hours), but that's because there is so much history to impart. I have to admit, I was getting a little tired toward the end of the tour of Montmarte because it was art history heavy (what did I expect?) and she is very knowledgeable on art history because she studied it, but I still enjoyed the tour. I was particularly grateful that she brought us to Sacre Cour, ie tourist hell (her words) last, and not first, so we could see it and make a quick getaway.
My husband did a tour of the sewers with Chris and enjoyed it very much as well.
For 12 euros, the experience you will have with these guys is unbeatable. If you only have a few days in Paris, the challenge will be budgeting your time between wandering and picking the tours you most want to go on.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
