From fresh produce to fresh seafood this place is great. They carry the basic items I need for groceries and meals. The produce and seafood section is good. Prices are okay, but just like everything else in the times.
The staff is very helpful here. Parking can be awful so bring your patience along your visit.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 2 déc. 2023
It's Seafood City. It has seafood, and it's inside of a city.
For those who don't know, it's a Filipino-centric Asian grocery store chain. If you need Filipino groceries, cheap meat, or obscure (non-fancy) seafood, you'll most likely find it here. The fish market is the big selling point here, and they're willing to clean or even cook your fish for you. NOTE they don't sell alcohol, so if you're looking for San Mig or Red Horse it's not here.
The employees are pleasant enough, and the store itself is pretty clean and well-stocked. It's compact inside, though. The carts barely fit in the aisles and actually cannot fit through the checkout area. Parking can be a trip, too; it's inside of a busy shopping center, and if you can walk it's a good idea to park further down past the Autozone next door. And lastly I'd come here right when they open, when everyone's still asleep and you can slip in and out with your groceries quickly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 4 déc. 2020
With covid 19 at an all time high... i called to inquire the price of Live crab , the lady over the phone stated " they dont give crab price over the phone" ?!?!?
As if i were asking something illegal!
What if i had no car and needed to check the price before i got a ride??
This store is horrible and is not trying to prevent covid-19 with this attitude.
They would rather people come inside than stay safe.
Terrible serviceHelpful 2Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0Information sur le responsable du commerce

Hi, Rose thank you for bringing this to our attention and we apologize for this as this shouldn’t be happening, we will investigate on this matter immediately. We’d also like to share with you that you may now conveniently shop online through our website www.seafoodcity.com or via Seafood City app. Thank you and once again, we apologize for what happened.

Literally thought this was a Seafood-only City Market for the longest time, but really a fantastic place to stock up on Filipino snacks, meat, and (of course) seafood.
Here are some of my personal highlights.
MEAT
Great variety of cuts, animals, and preparations
Blood, oxtail, beef feet; frog legs; longanisa, tocino, tapa, balut
SEAFOOD
I don't know fish but there is a central line with more species than I could count at a glance. Wonder what parrotfish tastes like.
SNACKS
Salted egg chips, ramen (pancit, lomi, bulalo), frozen foods (lumpia, silapao, dinugwan), honeyed nuts
ICE CREAM
Before Salt & Straw started making fish-sauce ice cream, the FIlipino community was leading the world in creative, questionably delicious ice cream flavors. Like cashew langka, avocado, and cheese. I think they also invented the corn&cheese ice cream.
There are also some of my favorite flavors, though, like halo halo and ube.
OTHER
Sauce mixes (kare kare, pancit palabok, adobo), fruits (jackfruit, mangosteen)
GENERAL INFO
Plenty of parking in the lot. There is a large Seafood City sign so you can't miss it, or look for the KFC sign if that's more recognizable. Aladin Sweets across the street is a great Bangladesh shop if you want to continue global grocery shopping.
It's not a pristine premium grocer so set your expectations right. Similar in presentation to a smaller 99 Ranch.
Arrived right at 8am and waited about 30 minutes to get in. Not bad for COVID times.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 200197112721 mars 2020
I was questioning the cashiers quite nicely and politely and I could tell they were not fully understanding so I spoke slower and inunciated better. This however changed nothing, turns out the understood what I was saying and eventually pointed me to the lady behind what seems to ba a pharmacy counter. She was even more rude, she just said she doesn't know and stopped talking to me, walked away doing her job and all. When I insisted to get the information she just said the person who knows is not here today and that was it. Such awful customer service.

This location has a good selection of fresh fish on the weekends. Employees here are friendly and helpful, this time Fe helped us at the hot food counter in the back. We only come here for chicken chicharron and usually it's good but taste it before purchasing because sometimes it has a weird oil taste.
The parking lot is a narrow hot mess, be cautious.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 23 mai 2017
While we like Seafood City for its variety of hard-to-find items, this particular location is small. This limits the variety of items available. Given the size of most of their stores I have to wonder why they chose to open this small one.
What they did have was fine. But the larger meat/fish counters, larger produce area, and more variety of products of the other Seafood City stores has spoiled us, so we really noticed the lack of these things here.
Also, the parking area is tiny. Again I have to wonder why they chose this center to open a store. We got lucky with parking, but besides being challenging to get a space it's also scary watching people try to maneuver in such a small area. I could just imagine someone taking my rear bumper off while trying to back out of their space and exit the lot.
Bring your own bags. They charge 10 cents per bag if you don't.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 41825142117 mai 2016
Terrible parking situation: spaces are so narrow (all those Asian moms with your Mercedes, watch out).
Came here for fish shopping, located at back of the store. They have offer fish cleaning service and they will deep fry for you while you shop. Lots of carts and traffic in the section, beware.
Pampano was $2.99/lb looked pretty clean, and tasted fresh.
This is a typical Filipino grocery store situated next to a red ribbon.
It hosts all your Filipino kitchen needs.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 12 févr. 2014
Love coming here to just stock up on Filipino junk food or pick up shrimps. Shrimps are much cheaper and fresher here than the super markets. I can tell the different since I eat the shrimp heads. I love kinda far so I'm always buying shrimp from Ralph's. Big difference. Also, I mainly come here for bone marrow. Not shanks but just the bone marrow. I make bone marrow soup every now and then and my Ralph's sells shanks so I end up with more meat than marrow. I want more fb the marrow taste in one of my soups. Plus, a pack of 8 bone marrow was only $4 bucks. Hell yea. And restaurants think they can sell one bone marrow as a delicatessen for $20. Just season it and pop it in the oven like they do. Hella cheaper.
Shrimps here with the head on were $7 per pound vs $10 for tiny ones at Ralph's.
They also fry fish here for free. Be prepared to wait because a lot of people get their fried tilapias. :-)
Parking here is rough. Their spots are tiny and you're lucky if you find an open spot. You usually have to wait. There are five spots to the back, side of the building. Usually taken but definitely worth a shot checking to see if it's open. The parking lot is just so tiny to maneuver around especially with constant pedestrians and cars backing up and pulling in. It's crazy.
The price on their junk food is insane. They have a very high mark up on junk food from the Philippines. However in glad that their produce is pretty cheap. You can definitely find all of the Filipino (and even Asian) producer here.
If you hate crowded and want to spend less time here, I'd go during the week and during the day. The aisles are small and doesn't make shipping here too easy.
They sell big balikbayan boxes, flan pans, and polvoron mold maker. Pricey of course but can't get those anywhere else in LAHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2 déc. 2012
Grubby, grubby. But if you are looking for durian, pork blood, or balut, this is your place.
But for a place called Seafood City, I would expect the seafood area to be much cleaner and the fish to be much more appetizing.
Last time I was there, they had a tank of "live crabs," that was devoid of ANYTHING alive.
Also, no alcohol any more.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
