The boiled beef in spicy sauce is incredible. It's easily my favorite dish on the menu. You can eat on it for days. The rice doesn't save too well, but that's not their fault.
The dry chili fish filets are the perfect mix of salty and spicy.
We've only ever gotten delivery, but even being 30 minutes away, most dishes are still too hot to eat when they arrive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 30 mars 2024
The restaurant is small, but clean. The bathroom was clean, which I always appreciate. The waiter was okay, but not super friendly. He steered my daughter away from ordering the mini hot pot because he said it would be too spicy. She ordered chicken with garlic sauce from the Chinese menu. It was tasty and had a slight amount of spice. She ended up disappointed that she didn't get the hotpot, even though she did like her chicken dish.
Her boyfriend ordered pepper chicken. I didn't try this one, but he really enjoyed it. I wasn't in the mood for jalapeño flavor, and it was covered in jalapeños.
For myself I ordered sliced ear, bo-bo beef, and dry chili chicken.
I was also warned that the bo-bo chicken would be very spicy. I sperically told him I love spicy food and I know I can handle it. I even mentioned that I didn't find the food in India spicy at all.
The sliced ear was very tasty. My daughter liked the flavor, but not the texture. The outer portion has a texture similar to tendon, which was fine with her, but the rest was more like cartilage. I loved both textures personally.
The dry chili chicken was perfectly cooked, although I could have handled some extra chilis in it. It was crispy and tender though.
The bo-bo beef? Honestly, I did not find it overly spicy. It was spicy, but not what o would consider a 3/5. I didn't even feel a need for any type of drink during the meal. When the waiter asked me how was the spice. I had to tell him that I expected more. The dish though was delicious. The beef was the most tender beef o have ever tried. It has zucchini in it, which I love. Very good.
The question is, do I just have that high of a spice tolerance, or did they give me "white girl" spicy? I seriously think it must have been less spicy than normal. I didn't even break a sweat and barely had a runny nose.
Overall, it was very good. The portions were a good size.
I went here specifically because if I could eat here I would be the Queen of Spicy in the Dayton area. I still don't know if I earned that crown.
The spice level and the waiter not really believing me almost got them a 3, if I could do 3.5 I would. I know there are people that order it spicy and then they want to have it remade, so I'm not totally upset about the attitude. I'm just disappointed that I was promised spicy and it wasn't even on the top 5 spiciest things I've tried.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 25 déc. 2023Avis mis à jour
Love the food but they get overwhelmed on Christmas. This is the second year in a row where a call-in order took 2+ hrs to fulfill & items in the order were either piping hot or stone cold. Order or go early on Christmas if Chinese is your jam on the holidays. They need to have better front of the house execution - can't have a single person answering phones, bringing carryout up, hostessing & running food from the kitchen.
Any other time, they are less than 15 min from order to table.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 011 juil. 2016Avis précédentTried it for the first time with a coworker a few weeks ago & was really good! I had the hot chili shrimp & was really impressed. We got carry out last week & the portions were enough for 2 meals. This is definitely in the lunch rotation now. My only complaint is that they get super crowded during the lunch rush so go early!

I love the food here. If you're into spicy food, you need to visit this restaurant. Event though it is small, the service and the ambiance are great.
Would recommend crispy tofu!!! I like to order sauce on the side to dip. The beef stew is also great!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 09 juin 2018Avis précédentI gotta recommend the crispy tofu. It come out w nice crunchy layer, then you dip it in their sweet and spicy sauce. Uhm yummy. I can dip any thing in that sauce. It not too spicy prob level 3 out of 10.
The other one I order is beef tendon, you mite not like it if you dnt never hve authentic Chinese food, it kinda soft and a little chewy with a jelly kind of texture. The flavor is great tho.
Customer service are great too.26 mai 2016Avis précédentVery authentic flavor! If you want to have some real Chinese food, this is the place. It is a small restaurant but the staff work pretty fast to get your food out. Of course it came out nice and hot. I ordered some soup and pork belly and fried fish. Best fried fish ever. Deff becoming a regular here.

We were here on a Saturday evening. Found out it's just located beside CAM, so we came early, did some shopping in CAM, then walk in the restaurant around 5:30pm, guess dinner time is not started yet, we are the 1st group to arrive! We order bobo beef, had spicy fish, jelly fish, spicy dumplings and 夫妻肺片。 i would say 夫妻肺片 is the best. The fish is also very good, tasty, yummy to eat together with rice. Husband's beef is very tender, but he accidentally ate some chilly pepper in the dish, make his mouth on fire! I laughed! The service lady is from Xi'an, she is very nice. I can see we are coming back!

Got some lunch with a friend after dropping off my laptop at microcenter (this place is super close just for everyones reference). We got the crab rangoons which came out pipping hot and while the filling was a little gooier than I am used to - it was delicious. We both got dan dan noodles and while they were okay, I feel like they were lacking that peanut flavor I associate with dan dan noodles. They were also a little oilier than I prefer, although I will say I did eat them all and just added some peanut butter to my leftovers. We also got some sweet potato little rice desserts which I liked a lot - they had a similar texture to mochi. I would definitely try this place again and try another entree, especially for their dumplings with chili oil that were sold out.

It's been a while since we've been here and even after my last review 7 years ago this place doesn't disappoint. I'm also super excited that they managed to keep the prices almost the same despite inflation and every other restaurant in town upping prices like crazy.
Still the same great service and great food. Had our go to wontons in chili oil then the staple Sichuan fried fish fillets. We added some spicy eggplant in garlic sauce and ma po tofu which they have with or without (vegetarian) pork. Lovely, spicy, happy tingly tongues!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 07 sept. 2015Avis précédentNot your typical Chinese restaurant so come in with an open mind. This place specializes in Sichuan cuisine so think dry chilis, chili oil and spicy spicy. Highly recommend the fried fish or fried chicken fillets with the dry chilis. They looks fluorescent orange due to the chilis and they will definitely warm you up inside and out. We also enjoy the wonton appetizer in chili oil. Being a health nut I usually steer clear of fried and oily dishes but the flavors are so distinct and good that it worth the cheat meal.
If you're looking for the typical Americanized Chinese dishes, you might be somewhat satisfied here because the dishes that stand out are not your typical saucy plates. - 12 déc. 2023
Amazing!!!
We got multiple dishes to take home to eat. Everything was fantastic. The eggplant with minced beef was my absolute favorite. The eggplant was the perfect velvety texture. The Sichuan beef dish was so rich in flavor and not too spicy. We will absolutely be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jess C.Cincinnati, États-Unis10628719015 déc. 2023
RUN! Don't walk here. MY GOD this place has the best food I've ever had in Cincinnati.
There are about 15 tables and two servers. This place is a well oiled machine and everyone knows what to do. The inside isn't fancy but remember food is your focus.
The food was hot and exactly what I wanted. Their menu is extensive so ask questions if you need help! Trust the process and trust these people.
I wanted brown sauce with noodles (hot) and boy did they deliver!
Parking is right out front but can get packed. Only issue I had was opening the front door which seems to get sucked shut from the wind.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 13 août 2023
Sichuan chili has been our go- to for great food over the past 9 years! We are known by the friendly staff there and always receive delicious food and great service. Today, we had many of our usuals. The red dry chili fish fillet was, as always, hot, crispy, and flavorful. We also had the Sichuan tengjiao chicken. I love the pickled vegetables and the black peppercorns in the dish which add layers of flavor to the chili oil. Finally, we had the pork and egg in soy sauce. This is a great dish for those who don't tolerate spicy food but want something that isn't boring. The rich sauce and fatty pork belly are positively decadent! Dining in is great because you will catch the sizzle of peppers from passing dishes and maybe find a new favorite!
