Sing Way

Can't fault Sing Way at all. Have lived in the area 6 years. Sing Way has seen me through moving into a house with no kitchen, renovating said house, countless lazy evenings, countless more 'dead tired can't cook' days and many university deadline weeks where cooking was the last thing on my mind.

Very fast, menu is expansive, staff are friendly, and everything is reasonably priced. I frequently get dinner for £5 and even then the staff chuck in a bag of prawn crackers for free.

I really recommend the Singapore noodles, beef ho fun, chilli squid, and stir fried veggie dishes.

I can only think of one time that things didn't go according to plan. I ordered online for pick up but the delivery driver took it out for delivery. When I showed up to pick up my order the guy at the counter said not to worry, he'd get the kitchen to cook up a new order instead of making me wait. Sorted!


There are 3 other Chinese takeaways within walking distance but I've never gone to any of them. Couldn't imagine ordering from anywhere else.

Though this place offers free home delivery on orders of 10 pounds and more within two miles radius, the food can definitely be overlooked. However, if you absolutely want to order in from this place, I recommend avoiding their sweet and sour preparations.

when this place opened a couple of years ago the food was genuinely dreadful (hence the bad review from the beginning of last year I guess). Fortunately the management are good at listening to customer feedback and got new cooks! it is now vastly improved and serves pretty good Anglo Chinese food. Price wise it's good too, the staff are nice and they keep the place pretty clean (on the outside at least). def the best Chinese on roman road.
