The Acres

We came here on a whim on our way to a different restaurant. This place is fantastic! Very warm and inviting. Heated outdoor patio, so we sat outside on a cold spring evening. It will be a terrific place to take the family when it's warm too! Food and service is great, local beers and a nice cocktail list. Tater tots were perfectly crisp. They have mini golf with outdoor seating for your food and drinks, casual hang, also driving range. Owners made us feel welcome and part of their family, it was so lovely.

We came on a Monday afternoon, so the bar and restaurant aren't open until 4:00, but we still had fun! Awesome set up with 2 putt putt courses ($8 all you can play), driving range, outdoor games (like corn hole and spike ball), restaurant and bar. Plenty of picnic tables for seating and a water bottle refill station for hot days. The staff was SO friendly and welcoming! We will come back to try the food and drinks!

Top notch sports facility with great food and a nice down home atmosphere. A great break from the country club hub a de dub. Great bar staff and friendly music encompass the facility.

We went there for a week night dinner. Love the vibe. Great beer and drink selection. And only one dude running the kitchen! He banged out 4 really great dinner in no time. Love this place.

I can't say enough good things about The Acres.

Two days before my spouse's 59th grade school reunion, our place cancelled.

The owner/managing partner stepped right up and reserved tables for the 30 people we expected. They brought additional tables from somewhere and even drilled holes in the tables to accommodate umbrellas for some shade. Food is not fancy but it's fresh and good with a small bar. Activities for the kids so Mom and Dad can have a drink and relax. This is welcomed small business in Evendale.

Went here on a Monday evening around 6pm planning to have a birthday dinner for my son, because he started to have an interest in golf. So I figured we would play mini golf, and hit a couple of balls on the range. When we arrived the restaurant was closed because "they were busy over the weekend"
Really? You are a business! Most restaurants are busy on the weekend! So we had to order take out pizza from down the road and bring it over while the kids hit a couple buckets of balls.

They placed a sign on the doors of the restaurant saying if you needed a drink go to the pro shop. So we went to the pro shop asking for a couple drinks and the manager had to escort us back to the restaurant to unlock the door so we can get a drink. Once we paid they lock the door behind us and we had to walk back to the pro shop. Too much back and forth, and a poorly ran business. Very disappointed, We will not be going back.

2nd time here, staff (Sarah), food, beer choices, such a great place to spend a few hours. I can't believe the transformation the owners have created.

This is the old Etter's that has been remodeled and a small restaurant and bar added. We're so glad to see that this place has been revitalized! We live nearby and have used the driving range many times over the years. It had been rundown for a long time and seeing it remodeled is really awesome!

We've been to The Acres a few times but I waited to write this review until after a few visits. Mainly because our first visit was right after they opened and they were working out some kinks. That visit for us had a pretty big snafu in that my grandson was served raw chicken. The management promptly handled it and the rest of food was great. A Burger for my husband - that he said was really, really good - and a Spicy Chicken sandwich for me, that I also enjoyed.

Last night we stopped in for some burgers and fries - and beer for my husband. The burger was really tasty! Perfectly cooked and seasoned.
The fries with added beef fat are delicious! I highly recommend adding the beef fat to the fries, you won't regret it. My husband said that he thinks they have a good selection of beer also. They have beer on tap, as well as a selection cans/bottles in a cooler. I also noticed liquor on the shelf behind the bar, so I'll have to try a cocktail sometime. They also have an Heirloom Tomato sandwich and a Chopped Cheese sandwich on their menu that sound really good and I'm looking forward to trying both of them. Oh, and the Loaded Tots sound yummy too!

The one thing that we noticed on every visit that we don't like is the number of unsupervised young children whacking balls around while their parents sit at the tables and eat and drink. It was definitely an issue last night as golf balls came flying at us from a very young child who was playing while his parents drank beer in the shade. The second ball to come flying flew right past my husbands head and straight towards my face. I ducked and the ball bounced off our table. Unnerved, we then moved to a different table to wait for our food. But as we ate - as with our previous visits - we noticed that it seems to be a fairly common occurrence that the mini golf is acting as a sort of 'babysitter' for the drinking parents. It makes it difficult to play through ( as we experienced ourselves previously and as we witnessed again last night) and it makes it dangerous when golf balls are flying around from unsupervised toddlers.

Stopped down on a beautiful Fri evening for a burger and a beer. Loved the out door setting and brought our dog with us. Lots of families and kids playing corn-hole, mini golf and trying out the driving range. Burgers were great tasting and we ordered fries that were good and crispy too. Great spot in Evendale!

Great spot to hit the range or take the kids to putt putt. The range has bays with heaters so you can go year round. Can grab food/drinks as well and the new owners really cleaned the place up since they renamed it. Highly recommend checking it out!
