We usually stay at this hotel when we visit the UK centrally located for our needs. Rooms are OK a little on the small side but clean only real complaint is that they do not have any A/C. Staff are pleasant, good breakfast buffet, dinner menu typical hotel fare.

I've been a member of the Village Hotel Health & Fitness Club for longer than you'd think if you looked at my waistline. The facilities are clean, the staff helpful, and the pool is truly nice. They have a lot of good classes, which, sadly, are often so booked up with eager yoga-ists, Pilates-fans and Zumba- enthusiasts that we stretch, strain and Zumba into our nearest neighbour. Luckily all with good grace and a smile and, as far as I know, no major fallings-out or injuries. The latest offerings are as diverse as walking clubs, wine tasting and poker (obviously the whole health thing might be slipping a tad).

There are a number of membership options starting from around £40 per month, which if I go three times a week works out at cheaper than attending classes elsewhere. Then, I can destroy all my good work by wandering into the café or bar afterwards.

As a Cardiff resident I have not had the need to stay overnight at the Village hotel, however I have dined there on occasion and am currently a member of their health club.

With regards to the health club, I am generally happy. Whilst nothing particularly fancy, in terms of health and fitness the Village has a lot to offer. The pool is nice and big, includes a Jacuzzi, and there are steam rooms and a sauna close by. The gym itself is very good and contains equipment that would suit most people's fitness needs. What's more, you can alleviate boredom whilst exercising by watching one of the six TV screens on the wall, the cross trainers all have there own screens with satellite TV on offer (just remember to bring headphones). There are variety of classes such as yoga, pilates, aerobics etc... on offer throughout the week and weekend, however book ASAP as I've found they fill up immediately (it would be good if they could schedule some more in). There are a variety of membership options, and they're not too expensive by gym standards (around £40 a month).

After the gym I often go to their cafe (members get 20% off) as the sandwiches are quite good. Their main restaurant on the other hand is not so great! I've only eaten their once but found the food rather bland.

On a more positive note, I've had a few beauty treatments at the Village, which I have no complaints with. I found that the staff really knew what they were doing and were all very chatty and put me at ease.

Built in 1998, this large hotel is an offshoot of a new chain that combines luxury hotel facilities with a health and leisure club. This place boasts of the 25 metre heated pool, but there is also a cycle and jogging track and golf course, and water sports can be arranged locally. In addition, the hotel offers luxury rooms, a first-class restaurant and bar and full business support services. If you can bear to drag yourself away, Cardiff city centre is four miles away. Transfers to the city centre, and to Cardiff Airport, can be arranged.
We loved the service especially the reception staff, and the food was very good but we tought expensive!! I would certainly recommend this place for the fact that it is close to cardiff and yet far enough out to be quiet!!

The Village Hotel has plenty of facilities to keep you occupied during your stay.
Their is a swimming pool, gym, sauna, cafe's, pubs, beauty treaments, personal trainers and much more.
The rooms are of very good standard & are very clean & well kept.
They also facilities to host special occasions such as parties, weddings etc. There are good transport links from the hotel to the city centre & the staff are happy to help with anything you need during your stay.

The village is ideally located just outside of Cardiff and provides easy access to the Valleys and the M4. The gym is very good and has all the latest equpitment. The wellness centre is great and the staff are very friendly. I personally am not a fan of the resteraunt as I always find the food cold and tasteless. The rooms are lovely. Car parking is ample.

This hotel is in a great location just off the m4 and outside of Cardiff City Centre. The hotel rooms are clean and spacious and fully equiped with everything that you would expect. Has a gym, pool, sauna, steam room and a beauty suite. Popular for weddings but there are no grounds for pictures to be taken!

This hotel is where I held my wedding, the staff are really polite and extremely helpful. The food was exceptional, and the service at the bar was quick and easy. The hotel rooms are clean and spacious and fully equiped with the standard things you'd expect from a hotel.

The swimming pool is lovely and large, and of course clean. They also have a gym which I personally haven't used but am told it is good.

They hold a quiz in the bar every tuesday, which is really good fun, a holds a certain amount of pub charm.

I have also been to several of there theme nights, (Abba, Rod Stuart and Tina Turner) and they have been really good value for money, and very entertaining!!

Generally a good place to stay and socialise in. x

I regularly meet here with family for lunch. Excellent location just off the M4. A short walk away from a train station that takes you into the heart of Cardiff. Bus stops nearby.

Hotel itself is clean and welcoming. Never stopped overnight but have heard good things from those who have.

I booked a massage for my husband as a present. Staff very helpful and my husband recommends the massage.

      Excellent all round place.
