Virtu was on my list for so long that I had no idea what to expect when we finally went this past weekend. Unlike the rest of Old Town, parking was easy and we got a spot right in front of the restaurant.
We were seated on the patio and I think this is the way to go here. I never went inside but every time a door opened, it seemed very loud. Plus, the patio is adorable and romantic.
We did the prix fixe tasting menu and I definitely recommend it. The amuse was a cannellini bean soup that was an impressive start. My salmon crudo was fantastic and a bigger portion than I was expecting. The lemon sorbet palate cleaner was just perfect. My sea bass was perfectly prepared and expertly seasoned. Husband was equally pleased with his duck. We ordered the mesquite noodles outside of our tasting menu choices because we were curious and I'm glad we did - it was interesting and yummy. Desserts were also a standout.
Service was pretty relaxed and we started to get worried about getting out in time to make an 8 pm show but we let our server know and they made sure to get us out of there on time.
We will definitely return.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 12 mars 2024
My wife and I went to Virtu honest craft for date night and we absolutely loved this hidden gem located near old town Scottsdale. The mixed cocktails and wine selection here are outstanding! We loved how the menu is constantly changing each time here and we did a fixed course menu and we left very happy!
Overall, this is a wonderful place to come and celebrate a special occasion with that special someone. Highly recommend this for foodies!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ayka P.Los Angeles, États-Unis12301527 févr. 2024
I was in town in Scottsdale's on some unpleasant medical stuff and decided to book a table here. The restaurant is located at the center of that strange touristy area with all the artsy farsty galleries and cowboy looking people and sculptures of native Americans.
The night I booked the table I walked down a quiet street and saw a bush wall with a dim light. The virtu sign emerged and I was greeted by a young lady who looked at me as if I didn't belong in the establishment. I was wearing my red Nike sneakers with a polka dot button down and some black jeans.
The place was oozing warmth and there was a modern fire pit outside. I was outside by myself and the waiter came, he had gray hair with a Hollywood curl. He looked like an extra from "the godfather."
Anyway everything I ate was delicious and not pretentious at all and the place was warm and friendly, especially my waiter, I can't remember his name, but you will recognize his hair.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 3035171824 févr. 2024
Cute small intimate place nestled between buildings. Once you walk in, they have a beautiful courtyard with seating and bistro lights. They also have seating inside. Not a very big place so I definitely recommend reservations.
Very romantic upscale vibe.
Our server Adam was very nice and knowledgeable ( shout out to Adam!)
Great unique fun cocktails. From the apps, entree's and desserts, it was all amazing and delicious.
So glad I found and tried this wonderful .
I would definitely come back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 10 janv. 2024
Virtù Honest Craft was recommended to me by a co-worker. I arrived shortly after they opened and sat at the bar drinking in all the sights and sounds. I thought it was a very quaint, peaceful ambiance.
The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered this lovely pasta dish that was surprisingly flavorful and light. It had this pesto cream sauce that defied expectation. It was glorious. The cocktails were amazing! The Ice Queen was delicious - bright, tantalizing, and frothy. It was a cocktail I could have drunk forever.
One thing I felt uncertain with was the service. There was a couple sitting at the bar when I entered who the bartender was cheerily talking to whereas with me all joy drained from his face every time he talked with me. After the couple left I mentioned how I never had Amaro before as I was considering ordering one for a digestif. The bartender initially gave no recommendations and was largely dismissive saying it wasn't for everyone. Figuring he just wasn't wanting anything to do with me I closed my tab and then that's when he gave me a small tasting of Amaro.
Maybe I just misread the bartender but I was quite unsure. I am grateful I went, but not sure I'd return.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - sherine ..San Francisco, États-Unis0114 avr. 2024
We had a special dinner at Virtu yesterday evening with family visiting from out of town. There were 5 of us and the day before we were told we had to order prix fixe because there were 5 of us. We were all disappointed because we were planning on a la carte as the website states it's optional. By the time we were notified it was too late to make reservations someplace special for 5 people.
We expected exceptional food given the reputation and we were disappointed, the amuse buche was very very salty, the salad was enormous which made it difficult to enjoy the scallops (my main) and the latter were fine but not, by any means, exceptional. The ambience was fine but far too loud for us to hear one another at the large 6person table inside.
We had been looking forward to Virtu for quite some time and found it good but not special. Many in our party found it disappointing. We will be choosing someplace else for our next special event .Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amanda T.Tempe, États-Unis23130224 mars 2024
Beautiful garden patio, casual but knowledgeable service, chef driven, delicious brunch perfect for a relaxing ladies brunch, pet friendly patio. Yum yum yum. I heard the chef won't cook some of the steaks above medium which I love.. I love when a chef puts his foot down to preserve the quality of his art. Love this place

Gastronomic Gem right here in Phoenix It's an inviting area that has gorgeous ambiance in the patio, I could see coming back when alfresco dining is possible again. We had an amazing time enjoying great service from both Michael and Jeremy, enjoyed amuse-Bouche small plate culinary delights alongside amazing hand-made cocktails from the bar all evening.

I had the marsala ribs, charred octopus, and parpadelle. I know its a lot but not. Great flavors and good prices. The staff were sweet and passionate about the quality of their food. My only complain why I give four stars is because they are not that generous with the food portion.

We never got to sample the dining fare. Decided on this place from a television based diners review. Reserved a table one week advance, arrived early, had drinks at bar. When reserved table was ready, we were shown to the patio (our advance choice) and given a table awkwardly positioned in the main traffic area of staff and diners. Most dissatisfied, staff were ambivalent to say it nicely. We settled our tab with the bartender and left quite feeling non appreciated.

So let me get this straight, you didn't eat or technically dine with us but you gave us a 1 star review because your entitlement card didn't work? Hmmm. I hate to tell you but there is no "main traffic area." Our service team walks past tables all night long servicing other tables. Guests get up and use the restroom during their dining experience. They actually walk past tables as well. It was you who decided you wanted to rearrange the furniture which then made it hard to service the table next to you. When we addressed it and you didn't get your way, you decided to leave. We accept, Visa, Mastercard and American Express, not the Entitlement Card. Please leave that one at home.
