Historique
Entreprise fondée en 1995
The company was created in 1996 originally called Advanced Advertising. Advanced was one of the first website development companies on Vancouver Island, B.C.
In the year 2000 Jay Somerville - with a past in marketing, websites, electronics and computers - saw an opportunity and purchased Advanced Advertising.
Mr. Somerville created a new name based on what the company did, "web and communications" resulting in the new name Webacom Media Corporation.
As Webacom grew over the years' two new services were offered, a full service marketing department including content writers and database programmers.In addition the geographical area expanded from North America to clients all over the world including Japan, Australia, Ireland, Hawaii and a number of other countries.
Currently Webacom's core business remains the same, serving clients of all sizes and helping businesses succeed. They now have 1 full time staff, 3000 sq. feet of office space and a satellite location in Victoria, B.C.

Jay has been in the electronics industry since 1980 operating a security business and computer store.
With a passion for helping businesses grow he started offering web sites with his computer store customers in 1995.
Now he focuses on strictly marketing and advertising with a specialty in web and search engine optimization.
Married to Kathy Somerville with three children, Jason, Chelsie and Joshua.
Community Involvement: Served Kamloops Crime Stoppers as President for four years, Assisted in starting the first scholastic program for students in Kamloops, Successfully lobbied the City of Kamloops for a full time CEO for Crime Stoppers Kamloops. The funding is still being provided today, Active Member of the Chamber of Commerce, Active Member of Tourism Nanaimo, Active member of Oceanside Rotary, Active member of Harbour City Networking Group.
