This place was great and I can't believe I didn't know it was there! There was live music. Great Caesar salad and wine and a great place to have our book club meeting.

This place is so cool! Set in a historic church that they completely renovated. The wine is delicious. They even have a couple of tv's to catch the Steelers game on a Sunday since they're open on the weekends. Love this place!!!

Beware: They have bands now.
If you are looking for a relaxing place to enjoy wine outside, do not choose Wooden Door.
If you're a boomer looking for too loud crappy bands, then this is your place.

If you've never experienced the Wooden Door Winery, I highly suggest you do so. I can't say enough good things, and frankly I'm not even sure where to start.
It's kind of far out there, and can be easy to miss if you're not seeking it out, but it's worth the trek. The inside is beautiful- so much thought went into the decor and the layout. Dim lighting, a beautiful bar and seating area set up inside of what looks like a wine cellar. The high top tables are actually barrels with glass set on top, with corks spread out under the glass- beautiful! The owners are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and can answer just about any question you have. The make their own wine and it's a family effort which is awesome.
They offer you 3 free tastings and if you purchase a souvenir wine glass for $3, you get 5 tastings with that. There wine list a big, but not overwhelming and like I said, any questions you have, they've got you covered.
Theres tons of outside seating in a beautiful, peaceful setting, and they have a decent sized food menu consisting of some lighter options, like sandwiches, burgers, and appetizers.
We ended up having a couple glasses after our 5 tastings, and then each bought our own bottle, we loved it! Let's just say my hubs is the best and knows what I like with this little surprise afternoon trip, and we'll definitely be earning our frequent flyer status, that's for certain!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Amanda B.Bloomfield, Pittsburgh, États-Unis185121 juin 2021
I hosted my moms 60th Birthday at the Vandergrift Location. Not only was the planning process with Krissy and Jeff easy, but they were so helpful the day off. The venue was perfect as well as the food - the coconut shrimp is to die for! Their son was bartending and super knowledgeable about the wines and so kind. THANK YOU for being such great hosts and we can't wait to work with you in the future!!!!

I did not like any of the wine but I sure do like the atmosphere and the beautiful scenery. It is pretty cool that they have a local place like this to enjoy. The evening we were there the kitchen was closed so we had to order pizza from the local pizza place.
