Best Fine Dining in Portland
I think this may be my most favorite restaurant in all of Portland. The flavors are spectacular and the creativity in the menu is outstanding. Atmosphere and service are first rate. A perfect place for a truly special meal.
Love it! Love it! Love it! What a treat to come here!
We've been here for cocktails and appetizers and full dinner and loved both experiences. This is a wonderful place to come on a sunny day and eat outside. Had a magnificent Mai Tai outside one sunny day and I'm still raving about it.
The flavors and quality of the meals, from appetizers to dinner are outstanding. I had never had Cuban food before and was a little apprehensive but (fortunately), I am learning to put my narrow-minded ways behind me and tried it. This is a terrific place to try something new and amazing.
How could I have neglected to rave about Serrato! This is another of my most favorite restaurants in all of Portland. If you love good food and fine wine, this is the place for you! They have the best wine selection of any place I've been. I just ask the servers for a recommendation and everything they've picked for me has been the best I've ever had. Just had a Tempranillo the other day that brought joy to my troubled soul. The flavors of the appetizers and entrees have always been wonderful. My last dining pleasure was the Halibut. It was spectacular. The atmosphere is really, really nice. There's something about it that is both really nice, artistic, high quality, and yet very comfortable. Wish I could hang out there every evening. It is a joy just to be in that space! And the service is always first rate. The servers have always been very attentive, nice, and super helpful. Serrato truly captures some of the finest joys of living and you owe it to yourself to visit!
I said my last farewell to the summer of 2010 here, having a $12 burger with glass of wine out on the patio, near dusk. The best burger I have ever had. Period. This is one of those special places where they really know food. Definitely a go to place for a great meal. And it's in a terrific neighborhood great for walking after dinner. I hope to return many times.
Update June 2011 - celebrated my wife's graduation from nursing school tonight. The front porch is a wonderful place for a wonderful meal. Service is always spectacular. I started with the Pear Brandy Kamikaze and loved it. We had the Rabbit Ravioli and Crab Risotto which were both fabulous. The Crème Brûlée was perfect and the Warm Chocolate Soufflé Cake toasted hazelnuts, honey-vanilla ice cream was the best desert I've ever had!

For ambiance, Dragonfly is super comfy.
