Cash Back Treats!
I absolutely loved this location!! I have been an advid Sfuzzi fan for years at the uptown location. My book club and I met last night here as it was closer to one of the girls and it was her turn to pick the spot.
I made a reservation through Opentable for 7. When we arrived the host said that they were just waiting for our table to leave then we would be seated. I was so surprised and delighted that they weren't rushing the table before us but let them enjoy their meal. The uptown location is not shy about letting you know that there is someone after you. We went to the wine bar(to the left when you enter), grabbed a few seats and settled in for a bit. The bartenders were wonderfully nice, I recommend the prosecco they have by the glass. When the other part of our group arrived we asked Cliff, the manager just for a time frame of when we would be able to sit down. He came back a few minutes later saying he was going to buy us around because it was going to be another 20 minutes (it was 7:15 when I asked) and appreciates our patience. What a wonderful, uncalled for surprise!
When we were seated, we couldn't wait to try the pizza! We split the Margarita Pie which was amazing!! I highly recommend it! The large or "M" size was plenty for 3 people. We also had the chocolate cake for dessert. I will warn you that it is a large slice of cake and suggest sharing with friends.
We will definitely be back to this location. It is not affiliated with the uptown location any more, as Cliff explained to us last night. The decoration, ambiance and size of the place made such an impression on us that it will be hard to go back to the uptown one. Definitely make time to stop in here if you can!
This is one my favorite restaurants for sushi! My fiancee and I come here all the time. The food is amazing. I don't think I could give you a favorite roll but here are some that we both like: Dragon, Firecracker, Sundae, Spider, Titan and Spicy Tuna.
They have a great wine list and the price is competitive with other sushi restaurants in Dallas. We will definitely be back.
El Fenix is by far one of my favorite Tex-Mex restaurants. The food is amazing, even the salads are good. The fire roasted queso is AMAZING! The Margaritas are strong tho so look out when you order them. The service is fast so that if you want something quick, it is no problems but then if you wanna sit for a while they don't care because the place is huge! I also love that they are connected to AADining so you get miles there when you eat!
My friend and I decided to have a girls night and wanted to try something new. I am on UPromise so I checked it out to see what was in the area to get cash back for eating out. (If you don't know what UPromise is, You should definitely check it out). Found Soho listed and checked yelps reviews. It had a high rating so we figured we would give it a shot. We arrived just before 6 and the place was empty expect for a a gentleman at the bar. So we grabbed a booth that had a great view of the stage (we are jazz fans) and settled in. They have happy hour on their house wine until 7:30. We each ordered a glass of Chardonnay and enjoyed it.
The food is very good but very small! Do not come here thinking to get full. It is a great girls night out place because we usually don't eat much anyways so we ordered a few dishes like the Black Truffle Hummas, the Fromage Plate and White Chocolate Mouse for desert. We had Juan who was very helpful in picking our dishes. He was funny and very attentive which is something I admire in a waiter. He was great. Ask for his table.
The musician was wonderful, Brian Reilly, he played the trumpet and sang or crooned as we called. All in all, it was a great girls night. We will definitely be back.
I needed to update this based on my experience last night. I have been a faithful Sfuzzi fan for years starting with brunch for hours to celebrating here after I found my wedding dress. Its been a great several years.
However, I'm removing two stars and maybe a star and a half because of my latest experience. Last night I met up with a dear friend who I have not seen since college and wanted to go a place she had not been but was one of my favorites. We were in one of the corner booths. It was warm so I removed my cardigan I was wearing and put it on the seat. We were rather rushed through out of the meal by our server which annoyed me. Turns out, someone had reserved the table after us, not a problem for my friend and I but when you tell us EVERY TIME you come over its frankly rude. It made me feel unwelcome. Well as we were rushed out of the restaurant I left my sweater on the seat. Called last night twice, because the first time I was hung up on and second was told they would call me with progress. Just got off the phone with them and he did go look in the back which was nice, however he goes "No I'm sorry I didn't find it" and hangs up without another word. I don't think I will be back for sometime as I will not attend places that make me feel unwelcome.
I did not remove all the stars as it does have good food and the drinks are fun. I just have such great memories there that I can't slam it because I had two gentleman with bad customer service manners.
