Favorite Places to Eat
Let's just say this is the first 5 star rating I've ever given. Shared appetizer was a little taste of everything. Salad was great and they fixed a salad that wasn't prepared correctly. Awesome service, so nice manage said hello bus boys were friendly. Special treatment for birthday guests. Note in the menu and blueberry mini pie thing. I loved my Ono fish entree. It reminded me of the same dish I had eaten I Kauai in December. Very pricey but worth it for a birthday. Yummy. How could I forget the dessert? The chocolate souffle was the best I've ever had, another reason it gets a 5/5.
This place once again is the bomb. My friend had her birthday dinner and I was hyping it up to those who had never been. They seated us 30 minutes after our reservation and that still can't knock a star off the review.
Upon being seated near the bar, a bottle of purple and yellow sangria was brought over. Plenty of water jugs. I believe we started with the fondue with bread and apple slices followed with beet salad.
Highlights were numerous. The fried Mac and cheese from outside lands, braised pork ribs with plenty leftover, stuffed down 2 sliders, butternut squash raviolis, and more.
We all opted for the $40 sampler with 2 hours of drinking. Well worth it. I know I'm missing some of the items that we tasted. Afterwards no room for dessert. Literally was hard to move and we were all a bit sleepy afterwards.
If you check-in with yelp you get free doughnut holes so I look forward to having mimosas here for $20 brunch sometime soon. This place would get 5 stars if it was a little more affordable. When my sister wanted to celebrate… En savoir plus
I was looking forward to trying this place. I am a fan of Subway, Quizno's, and other sandwich spots. This place reminds me of Ike's Place though, and is definitely better than Quizno's. It's a chain, but I'm totally new to it.
As soon as I arrived, the friendly girl that works there saw the look on my face, and walked me through the process. Pick a sandwich, grab that numbered bag, and use a sharpie to mark off what condiments you want on it. She informed me the most popular sandwich was the "Wicked." Basically, loaded with meat. Yup, sounds good.
After customizing, paying, and waiting about 5 minutes, I picked it up. I ordered a large with home made chips and a drink. Wow. It was absolutely bomb. I ate half of it. The crispy onions on it stood out. I recall having lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, pesto, jalapeno, mustard, 3 types of cheeses that were bomb, and it was toasted. I managed to finish the other half and waddled out. Yeah, this place rocks the house.
I told them it reminded me of Ike's and they recommended I review it on Yelp. Well, here ya go, you got my Elite seal of approval. Also, she gave me an extra punch on the frequent flyer card which is a big plus.
You can't go wrong with Seniore's. It's open late night and it delivers. I came here after a meeting in the sunset and ordered my usual pesto pepperoni but opted also for a slice of garlic chicken. The chicken was loaded on there and you can't beat the pungent aroma of chopped garlic. This is a place you get take out, not much room to eat there.
The House is a truly awesome restaurant. My friend brought me here after she grew up in the city and wanted me to try it. We had reservations and were seated fairly quickly. Some dummies come in or leave without shutting the door so that's one annoying thing, and probably the only one.
The server was a bit slow, but we had these deep fried tempura asparagus spears and fresh calamari for appetizers. They nailed it on both of them. Before that they also had a pickled item for a table appetizer. I had a Japanese beer with my meal.
After listening to the specials, I settled on the fish special: blue fin tuna caught in Mexico. The presentation was magnificent. At the bottom were these green vegetables I had never tried before, with the seared tuna, and two avocado sushi rolls on top. Check the photo I uploaded.
My friend ordered the cod. This is what I will order next time! It literally melted in my mouth like butter when I tried it.
I didn't think we'd get dessert but we did. We got some sort of berry pie that was great. I'm sure this place is considered expensive, but it's well worth trying it. We also got some of their fresh made almond cookies to take home. This is a hidden gem in North Beach amongst a plethora of Italian restaurants. This Asian fusion restaurant stands alone.
