Places to be for Nightlife on the Weekend!
Great place to karaoke! You can call ahead to reserve a room, which is free. You just have to pay a dollar per song which you insert into the karaoke machine inside the room. Also the service is great. Its a chill place to hang out with friends!
I heard the food was pretty good here, so we had to try it for ourselves. I wasn't expecting much because it is bar food, but I was very impressed! We ordered the furikake garlic chicken and fried rice for 9 bucks each. It was really good and they gave really big portions! There was lunch for two the day after.
There is a great atmosphere inside the bar, and a lot of space to sit down. The dart boards are awesome because they are very new and even have colorful blinking lights :). These are the newest dart boards I've seen for a bar in Hawaii haha!
Great place to chill with friends and eat great food!
This is always a great place to hang out, whether it's with children or adults. What's great is that it's like a big arcade for older people! There is a new air hockey game that allows four people to play, which is crazy because you can't predict where four pucks are going to go! They have a great deal on Wednesdays which is half off drinks after ten until midnight. And it's good for clubbing on Wednesdays because they have the upstairs bar open with music blazing. Unfortunately I don't go to this anymore. I feel too old going nowadays, it seems like a younger crowd. But it's still a great deal.
The one star off in this review is for the food. We ordered the 5:15pm platter which has an assortment of finger foods. Unfortunately the pig in a blankets were REALLY SALTY. Like wow I had to wipe the salt off with a napkin. Also too the cheese quesidilla was cold by the time we got it and didn't taste all that great. The best item was the shrimp, that did taste very good.
I feel like the quality of food for DnB's has been going downhill. But because they have good drink deals, and a great atmosphere for hanging out with old or young people I give it a four stars :)
Absolutely love coming here! You must come when it's happy hour to get the great deals. Unfortunately they took a few items off of the happy hour menu, but their pretty cheap so I still order them anyway. They just added this black sesame ice cream with sesame seeds and caramel that is delicious! One of my favorite places to dine in on the Windward side.
I've always loved coming here to eat because their happy hour specials are great! We ordered the kalua pork quesdilla and hot crab and artichoke dip. The hot crab and artichoke dip NEVER fails me, it's so delicious!!! But I was disappointed with the kalua pork quesdilla, it was really salty. I've had it many times before, and this is the first time I've tasted it this way before. Probably caught it on the wrong night :(.
There service whenever I've came has always been good, our waitress was very nice and friendly.
Only downfall about this place is that they started closing at midnight!!! I wish they'd start staying open until two am again!
Happy Hour Review:
I came here for a friends birthday, and having been here many times before I was REALLY looking forward to eating the food here! Unfortunately I was soooo disappointed! The stuffed mushrooms didn't have much flavor. The crab cakes seemed to be flavorless as well, on top of shrinking in size. The beef carapaccio (or however you spell it) does taste good, but the portion is quite small. Even the kobe burgers didn't have as much flavor as before! I don't know if I came on a bad night or what?? And did I mention the price during happy hour went up from $5 to $7 per dish? :(
Overall I still like the ambience inside Pearl and the service was great. I will be coming back here, but not with such high food expectations anymore...
Clubbing here is fun though, but definitely for the older crowd! Not for the people who just turned 21. I'd give Pearl Ultra Lounge a 4 stars for clubbing!
