It's great to have a new place to relax and have a cup of coffee. The coffee is freshly roasted here in Terrace. The baked goods are fresh; nothing here looks bad at all!
The lunch menu is fantastic. Great sandwiches and soups. Props to the owner for posting the soup of the day on Facebook. Nice touch.
Xanders is definitely a great addition to Terrace.
I noticed this place on the south side of Terrace when driving by and decided to stop in and try Polly's.
First of all, there is a cafeteria style, brightly lit, side with booth style seating. The other side of the restaurant is a very dimly lit dining room. So, I guess you can take your pick. Very interesting, very dated. Kind of cool.
The menu is standard and well presented. The food leaves a lot to be desired. I had a combination dish with fried prawns that were little more than cocktail shrimp fried in quite a bit of dough. Disappointing. The sweet and sour chicken and beef dishes were better. The chow mein is a bit different than I have had any other place. Overall the food is ok.
We have found ourselves at Boston Pizza more than a couple of times since we moved to Terrace.
First, the staff here are friendly, willing to help, and most welcoming in the area.
The food is standard BP, it is good (enough).
The atmosphere is probably the best you will get. The sports bar is the nicest in town, the restaurant is right there with it. I like everything about it but it's location.
If you are in Terrace and unsure where to go and hang out for a bit, this is a sure bet at normalcy.
The Thornhill Pub is my favourite bar in the Terrace area. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is way above average bar food.
The place is definitely a neighbourhood bar/pub, but, everyone here seems to be welcoming and friendly. This is definitely a place to hang out if you want to relax, have a beer/cocktail or two, and socialize. Highly recommended if you are a traveler and have no other place to go. The downside is its location, quite a bit outside of Terrace. Get there anyways.
Hey, there aren't very many places to have a good quick meal in Terrace. Good fast food is hard to come by!
There is friendly staff, the veggies are fresh, and the preparation is right in front of your face. Better than going to any other fast food place.
Pita Pit is, in my humble opinion, the best fast food place in Terrace.
First thing I have to say is that we drive from Terrace to eat sushi here. It's well worth it. The atmosphere is great. Nice upstairs location overlooking the Cow Bay area.
The sashimi is fresh, the sushi rice is authentic, nigiri is well placed, and the sushi rolls are creative and delicious. The miso soup is really good. I give the food five stars. The only downside is that, unlike most Japanese restaurants I have eaten at, they charge for tea. Really? That's a little disappointing.
The prices are mildly reasonable considering they are the real deal.
What a great place to hang out and have a bite to eat with a great cup of coffee. The choice of serving Kicking Horse coffee makes the experience great.
The atmosphere is great. Nice and cozy with quite a bit of room to hang out at one of the tables. The service is great; everyone is friendly and warm.
Definitely a place to hang out.
There aren't very many bars in Terrace. That is a fact.
The service here is great. The staff treat their customers well and make the place inviting. The bar selection is mediocre at best, but, good enough. The atmosphere is pretty good, nice seating and very comfortable. The food is bar food....enough said.
Love this place.
This is a really enjoyable place to spend an hour or two reading a book. The coffee is perfect and the menu offers enough to be satisfied. There are not enough places in Terrace like Cafenara.
I was pretty excited to find out that a new restaurant had opened near Sunriver. We have been to Deschutes Roadhouse several times during our last holiday in the area. My final grade = not impressed at all.
The food is good. The menu is well presented and everything came out as expected. The service is a little too nice. I think it is because this place was never all that busy when we were here and it was definitely overstaffed. They were all standing around in a corner looking pretty bored.
The nail in the coffin are the hours. When they say that they are open 4-close, it means they close at random times each night. We wanted to come back and eat a late dinner at 25 minutes after the hour (8:30) and despite there being quite a few people inside, the manager standing outside forcefully said 'closed'. There was no 'im, sorry we are closed for the evening', he just said 'closed' very loudly. Ok. The most important part of managing a business is to have a standard and follow it.
I would be surprised that this place is open next summer.
