This may be one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed at--and we have been to a lot of beautiful places. We were in a lovely suite, with a view overlooking a pasture full of friendly llamas and the ocean beyond. It was idyllic and peaceful, with a huge comfortable bed and a fabulous farm-fresh breakfasts delivered to your door each morning. The owners and staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. If you have the opportunity, do sign up for their amazing four course dinner with wine parings served twice a week. This is definitely a place (and a meal) for celebrating special occasions.
We were at Tahoe for only one week and ate here twice. I love the concept of tapas--small plates to share--so I was delighted to find this "American" tapas place on our vacation. The food was really exceptional, especially the green salad with bleu cheese, grapefruit, candied pecans, and asparagus, which we had with a "taste" of chilled tomato soup. Amazing. Each night we had the same soup and salad with three different additional plates, and every one was better than the last. I probably liked the jerk shrimp the best, but the beef tenderloin with mushrooms was out of this world, too. I really loved the bites of dessert--I hate it when they bring you some huge portion of dessert, and these little taste bombs were the best. My recommendation is the key lime pie bites. A bonus for us was that we were able to watch the SF Giants on the TV in the bar while eating dinner--so we had a great meal AND got to watch our home team. But the restaurant itself looked lovely. By the way, the fresh squeezed fruit cocktails are pretty darned tasty, too. Try this place. You'll love it.
