Based on reviews here on Yelp, I decided to try Tequila's. The place has the perfect tacky decor that marks any great Mexican restaurant. The staff was very friendly and timely with everything. I don't think our water and tea glasses stayed empty for long the entire night.
The salsa had a pleasant kick to it and a wonderful taste. I had the alhambres al pastor, and it was just delicious. I followed it up with the flan which was equally delicious, and washed it all down with a very good Top Shelf margarita. Their tequila list is longer than most places entire alcohol menu.
Wow! I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was so worth the wait. We came on a Friday evening around 7:30 pm and had to wait about an hour for a table. We sat at the bar and had some margaritas while waiting. The margaritas were outstanding! They have such a great assortment of quality tequilas and some wonderfully tasteful concoctions of margarita.
We had the table side guacamole, which has bacon in it! It was a different twist and it was very good. We shared the duck street tacos and they were equally yummy.
So excited that we are going to have a Mi Dia opening in Flower Mound. Cannot wait for this to open because it will definitely be on our list of places to take friends.03/09/2015 Hi Steve! Thank you for choosing to dine with us on Friday. It's gratifying to hear that our food… En savoir plus
Up in town for a summit with my peers, and we needed a place for a small team dinner. We decided to give The Kitchen a try based on the reviews here on Yelp and on a recommendation from a friend. With the weather being so nice, we sat at one of the outdoor tables. The staff was outstanding, our waitress very helpful and friendly.
We started with some oysters and they were delicious. I had the Ribeye Frites and it was cooked to perfection. Perfectly medium rare and the frites were perfect. I finished up dinner with the sticky toffee dessert, and it was yummy!
Definitely worth the price and is on the list of places to visit again.
For a food truck, this was decent food. The steak tacos were tasty, as were the pastor tacos. We also had the steak burrito, which was a little dry and the beans were cold.
The one thing that was pretty decent was the salsas. They had two different salsas and they were both good.
Our friends from Fairmont wanted to take us here for dessert. With a power outage we decided to make it dinner and dessert. My wife shared the He-Man breakfast with our daughter and it was so much food! Served on a garbage can lid, it was definitely He-Man worthy!
The ultimate piece was dessert. We decided to go for the banana split, which was a giant 9 lb plate full of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream. It may not have been 9 lbs, but it was definitely huge. All 7 of us ate on this dessert and barely got past half of it being gone. We were all in an ice cream coma by the time it was done!
The atmosphere was fun and the service was very good. We would stop by again if we make it back to Fairmont.
We wanted to have dinner in Canada for the novelty of being in Canada. After reading reviews here on Yelp we decided Taps was the place to try. We went on July 2nd and it wasn't crowded at all. We sat out on the patio because it was such a beautiful night out. The patio was a bit busy, and because it is serviced by the bartenders, service was a bit slow, but we were in no hurry.
My wife had the beer flight with 4 of their in house brews and I had their Belgian Wit beer which was really good. Our girls ordered the burger, which was a little overcooked for my taste, but was still good. My wife had the Sirloin Steak sandwich with soup, and I had the Pulled Pork sandwich with Caesar Salad. We also ordered a basket of french fries for the table with their beer mayo.
While the burgers were a little over cooked, the Sirloin Steak Sandwich and the Pulled Pork sandwich were excellent. They were both served with cole slaw that was fresh and tasty. And the french fries were awesome as was the beer mayo to dip them in. Scrum shish!
If we make it back up here, we will definitely try to make it back here again.
After seeing an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives that was filmed at Melt, I knew I had to visit. We came up to Cleveland from Dallas to visit some friends, and the only thing I told them we had to do was visit Melt. The atmosphere was very eclectic and fun. I loved the video game headers on the beer fridges behind the bar.
We each ordered a different sandwich, and they were awesome! We had a Monte Cristo, a chorizo & potato, The Dude Abides, and the Cleveland Cheese Steak. All of them were super yummy! The Monte Cristo absolutely rocked! It was by far my favorite sandwich.
The food was delicious, obviously, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. This is definitely a place we will come back to when we are back in Cleveland.
After 11 hours on the road the family was looking forward to a good meal. We ordered the full rack of ribs and a chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was a little dry, but that was the only problem with the meal. The ribs were outstanding and the rest of the salad was perfect. The stag was very friendly and very quick, and our waitress made sure we were taken care of well. Oh, and they serve these deep fried dough balls sprinkled with powdered sugar that taste like mini funnel cakes. We'd definitely stop by again in the future.
Wow! My wife and I were in town to celebrate my birthday and Lure was recommended by our sister. I cancelled reservations and a different seafood place in the city to come here. Boy am I glad we did!
The atmosphere was great. We sat in the bar area of the restaurant, and it wasn't too loud like most of the other places we ate at over the weekend. The decor makes you feel like you are on a sailboat or a yacht. It was truly quaint and comfortable.
We wanted a bottle of wine, but not being true wine connoisseurs, we had the sommelier help us out. He helped us pick a great Pinot Noir that was exactly what we were looking for.
We started off our night with 2 of each of the east coast oysters on the menu, and they were outstanding. Fresh and tasty.
My wife ordered the Sea Bass for dinner, and I had the Surf And Turf. Her sea bass was cooked to perfection and plenty tasty. My filet was like butter and melted in your mouth, while the lobster was simply outstanding. And the scalloped potatoes that accompanied my dish were perfect, just like my mom used to make.
We finished up with the Apple Walnut Crumble, and I had the Butterscotch Pot de Créme. Both were simply delicious.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great atmosphere, some wonderful food, and a great staff.
Great food, just not so great seating.
I had to come here since it is where Anthony Bourdain used to chef, and the food was outstanding, meeting my expectations. We were just a little disappointed with the tables and atmosphere.
While the dimly lit restaurant had a cozy feeling to it, the fact that the tables were so close together that you could enjoy every bit of your neighbor's conversation put a bit of a damper on the evening. You didn't want to talk too loud so that your neighbors could hear you, but you had to speak a little louder than normal because of the overall noise level.
All that being said, the food was outstanding. We ordered the Escargot and the dinner order of mussels for appetizers and they were perfectly prepared. Fresh and tasty!
For dinner I ordered the lamb shank special and my wife had Magret de Canard, sauce grenade. Both dishes were outstanding. My lamb shank was prepared in a traditional brown sauce and served with mashed potatoes and green beens. My wife duck dish was just perfectly tasty.
We finished up with an order of Crème Brûlée.
Overall, I'd come again on one of our next trips up to New York, but I'll be sure to ask for a table away from everyone else.
