I've been taking the adult classes (and some that combine adults and teens) at this dance studio for over 10 years now, and highly recommend it. They're all about making the classes fun and a positive experience for everyone, regardless of ability. Yes, they have the production company for talented students who want a more serious and rigorous dance experience (and yes, those students take a lot of classes and work very hard, so are heavily featured in the annual recitals), but even if you're not a natural dancer, you will learn something, feel pushed a little, and have a good time. Dance class is something I look forward to every week! I also love that they are very supportive of all body types, even for the production company.
Our family of 5 just spent a week at Sow's Ear, and had a great time. The cabin was comfortable, clean and attractive -- not directly on the river, but you could see the river from the porch, where we enjoyed hanging out (and we could go across the road to use Heidi and Steph's hammock and outdoor sitting area at any time). Heidi and Steph were very friendly and accommodating hosts, but they really shined when we got out on the water. They took us kayaking several times and were very patient and knowledgeable teachers. We had little to no prior experience, and my younger kids (esp. my 11yo) were a bit reluctant at first, but we all got the hang of it, felt like we pushed ourselves while still feeling completely safe in their hands, and had a blast! We also enjoyed a river rafting trip with them and their dogs.25/07/2013 Well gee, I can see why this was filtered. Real people on real adventures with us and real photos of… En savoir plus
