A Nightmare! Our Furniture Has NOT Arrived, and they won't give us a refund!
Do yourself a favor: don't buy there, even if the price sounds fair.
The salesperson was not helpful to begin with, and when we were deciding between ordering a couch already in store and a "special order," she was very quick to say that the only difference was the waiting time for the piece to arrive.
When the delivery guys came, they said the couch (a regular 3-seat piece) was just "too big" and would not fit the elevator or the stairs. Considering our building is fairly large considering "Cambridge standards," we were quite surprised and frustrated. We called the store to get our money refunded and go buy somewhere else, and they were even less helpful, saying that they wouldn't do it because it was a special order. No room for negotiation. But the one we ordered was so close to the one in stock that we would have never had chosen the special order had it been told us that there would be this kind of penalty when we explicitly asked about the difference between buying "in stock" or "special order"!!! We tried to call customer service, but they are always "in a meeting" (all of them!). We are left without a sofa, and dealing with very unhelpful staff, always blaming us, the customers. How is that for customer service??? Just terrible!!!
