Oh Zingerman's, home of the $15 sandwich. How I have missed thee. Was back in town this weekend and just realized I never wrote a review for this place!

First yes it is not cheap. My "small" sandwich was $15. It is not actually small. It is a regular sized sandwich that is very filling. I went when it was snowing so no line (score), but most likely you will wait in line. There are a LOT of sandwich choices. Take your time. I got Benno's Birdie which was AMAZING - chicken sandwich with pesto, oven dried tomatoes, pesto and mozerella. YUM. Don't be intimidated by choices or price. Come here and eat. It's worth it. Take some time and browse around the shop too. There are many free samples and everything looks really yummy and interesting. Unfortunately when you're getting ready to get on a plane you can only carry so much...oh well guess I'll just have to come back.

Can't believe I only now discovered this place near my work!! If you want a sandwich this place is the best. I got the Bulgarian Feta which had a bunch of veggies on it and was delicious! The sandwiches are HUGE. I ordered the half which was super filling. I also highly recommend the homemade potato chips. Yum. I will be back to try other options. I love that this is a local business and the staff was so nice. The woman running the cash register was thanking anyone paying in cash and for tips. The line was long so took a bit, but once I ordered it was fast.

Another healthy fast-casual option comes to the Farragut area right near my work - yay! I heard about this place and decided to go on Veterans Day so I hopefully wouldn't have to wait in line too long which I didn't. The staff was really friendly offering samples to everyone waiting. I got the chicken bah mi which was fantastic and really filling. When I first saw it I was a little worried as it didn't look like much food, but I was wrong. I want to come back and try a bunch of the sides because they look really yummy too. The price for the chicken bah mi was not bad ($9.50). Options with protein are $12.50 which is a tad pricey, but then again I go to Sweetgreen all the time and pay $12 so I probably shouldn't complain too much.

It seems like fast-casual pizza places are the new thing n Farragut. I've tried Veloce and DC Pizza so decided I should try &pizza too. Out of the three this was my favorite for the food. I came at lunch so there was a bit of a line and it was sort of slow, but not too bad. I really like that you can add as many toppings as you want and regardless of what you put on it all pizzas are the same price. Score! I have to say the ordering and paying process was a bit chaotic. I think it would be better if orders were written. When I was there the line wasn't really matching up with where you were ordering so it was kinda hard to tell the people making pizza what you wanted. Tip: they make their own mozerrella so make sure you get some on your pizza! After your pizza is cooked they put more topping on like dressing, basil etc. Somehow the pizzas came out in the wrong order and they were trying to figure out which one was mine then I was trying to say what I wanted on it and at the same time the cashier was telling me to pay. It was just extremely chaotic and there could be some process improvements there. But the pizza was really filling and good so I'd still recommend this as a lunch option. Plus they're on LevelUp which is great.

I was really excited to try this place, but I have mixed feelings. I tried one of the premade options because it was too overwhelming my first time to make my own though that's an appealing option for the future. I do really wish they had brown rice. I know they have quinoa which I got and was great, but brown rice is a great option. I didn't really love that they steamed the vegetables and there seemed to be some water from that in my food which was not awesome. With the sauce they put on top it was very runny. I thought the vegetables were good, but like others said even the premade bowls don't seem to really go together or make sense. I'll come back to give Beefsteak another chance but for right now Sweetgreen remains my fast-casual salad love.

Recently tried this spot for lunch and have to say I'm a fan. I don't usually have pizza for lunch, but will come here if I do. I went really late so there was no line which was awesome and the whole process was very quick. The staff were really friendly and the pizza was great. I got a veggie option and it was very filling - I couldn't eat the whole thing. There are also plenty of choices on the menu which is great. I try not to eat pizza too often, but when I do I'll be back.

Apparently fast, casual pizza is the new thing and there are lots popping up near my work in Farragut. I don't usually eat pizza for lunch, but now that it's getting cooler I find myself wanting something warm so decided to try Veloce. I got the Farmer Pizza which was a veggie option and I really enjoyed it. I agree with others that the menu selection isn't huge, but you can always build your own pizza which is nice. There was no line when I went in and it was a fairly fast process. I agree with others that the portion isn't huge though it was plenty of food for me. In sum this is a good lunch option.

I found Bailey about a year ago and am SO glad I did because she is AWESOME and my favorite DC pilates teacher. I'm so excited for her that she's doing her own thing now. Her classes are just a ton of fun and the time always flies by. The classes are fast paced with lots of variety which I really appreciate and she really pushes you but in a good way. We generally use both the reformer and the chair constantly switching back and forth as well as other props so it's never boring. She is also upbeat and positive making sure to adjust springs etc for each person's individual needs.

Annie is fantastic. I've been going to her for a few years at Salon Mint and am so excited for her that she's on her own now! She always does a great job and really takes her time to make sure your hair looks great and is very detail oriented. I've done color, cut and highlights with her and all are great and pretty reasonably priced as well. She is also great at knowing what I want even when I do a really bad job of explaining it! She is also really nice and friendly and I'm always happy to see her.

I discovered this stand at the Dupont Farmers Market and it is AMAZING!!! They have tacos with fresh farmers market ingredients. I've had mushroom, eggplant, squash, corn. Even at the farmer's market with a long line they have good attention to detail - they ask people if they want everything on it and especially if they want cilantro (or not) which is really great. And the tacos are DELICIOUS.

You can add eggs to your taco for $1 which I've never done, but is a nice option. They get a HUGE 5 stars for locally sourcing things as I've seen them buying eggs from the egg farmer. I'm really happy for them they will be opening a store in Georgetown I only wish it was Dupont instead, but I guess I'll just have to settle for Sundays.
