I have to give Coopers a solid 5 stars. The prices are great, especially happy hour, which is every day. The drink pours are generous. The service is usually very good, except maybe Friday and Saturday evenings when they are pretty busy. The bar menu is limited, but after 5 you can order from the Treehouse restaurant menu. And you can't beat the $11 beer, burger, and fries meal, which you can get at any time. It's a great burger with three extra toppings, really great fries, and a point of microbrewed beer. Pretty incredible. Especially when you look at what the rest of Mt. Shasta had to offer. It's a dark comfy space. They have sports and such on tv, but as they have closed captions turned on instead of sound, it's not annoying if you're not a sports aficionado.
My husband and I recently went on a one-week road trip on the Oregon coast, enjoying the beautiful sights of this area and also the outstanding seafood available in the best restaurants we could find along the way. We visited Luna Sea near the end of our trip, and during our lunch there we decided that overall--despite serious competition from a few other good restaurants--Luna Sea had the best fried seafood on the entire coast. It is utterly outstanding--read the other reviews here.
Unfortunately, after our meal, there was a problem with the bill. As can (and often does) happen in restaurants, there was an unintended error with the bill and our bank card charges. The difference at Luna Sea was that the owner of the restaurant personally and immediately stepped in and made it right, however--eliminating the inconvenience and frustration most other restaurants would allow to detract from their customer's experience.
This restaurant actually deserves more than five stars, not only for the outstanding quality of its seafood, but for the honest spirit of service and integrity by which it is managed--so rare these days. On both counts, it is truly in a class by itself.
I have moved several times in recent years and have had a wide range of experiences with movers. Without question, Lee's Moving has been the best experience by far. The movers are thoroughly professional. They know the moving business inside and out. Not only that, they're energetic and pleasant to have around. I chose them after talking to a score of movers and can't say enough good things about them. If you want your move to be successful and stress-free, call Lee's. These guys are amazing!
I can't express how strongly I recommend Sean as a mechanic. I'm in complete agreement with the people who say he is great.
I have an American car, no longer under warranty, and the dealer charges me $150 just to diagnose problems. Sean came out to our house, diagnosed the problem and told us immediately what needed to be done. We were very impressed by his knowledge, expertise, and ability to troubleshoot. His prices are amazingly reasonable, you can tell that he likes what he does and takes pride in it. We're having him come back soon to do the brakes on my car, too.
In short, if you live in the East Bay and need your car serviced, CALL SEAN. You won't regret it. Great work, great service, great prices--and he comes to your house! You will be delighted that you made such a smart decision.
Okay, he seems like a very nice doctor when you meet and talk with him. Very caring. But he did my total knee replacement and total hip replacement, and within one year of the latter, I ended up needing to have them both redone by another orthopedic surgeon. The knee was by Dr. Zwahlen was too wobbly and the hip was not fitted correctly so my leg ended up being significantly longer than the other. Revision surgery corrected both situations, after months of pain and discomfort plus the revisions were much harder than the original joint replacements. Was it slipshod surgery on Dr. Zwahlen's part? That's my conclusion. All I know is that I would have been better off in life had he never operated on me. I don't like to speak badly of people but feel that I need to share my experience.
