Dear Francesca's Forno:
I BEG of you....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the Ignudi dinner entree and Uovo Diavolo brunch entree!! I will still give you 4 stars, because you have a great atmosphere and the rest of your food is still great. But unfortunately, I can no longer call you my "go-to" Italian place, because you got rid of two of the most delicious things I have ever tasted!
Please, help a girl out and bring them back!!
We used Rovin's flooring recently after a friend recommended them to us and we are beyond happy with the results! We talked with three different flooring contractors and Adrian was by far the easiest to work with and came in at a VERY reasonable price.
From start to finish, Adrian was very accommodating. He promptly returned my emails and phone calls, and came out to the site to give us an estimate (and again was very accommodating when it came time to schedule this initial visit, working around my schedule, which is often unheard of with some contractors). He worked with our condo association and provided all of the necessary forms/insurance papers necessary, so that we did not have to worry about doing anything.
The work was completed on time and looks fantastic! I am an interior designer, so I am always pretty critical of the quality of work when it comes to these things, and I was very impressed! I would not hesitate to recommend Rovin's to all of my clients.
First of all, I want to mention that my review of two stars is not related to the food. Food was good, margaritas were great and very affordable, atmosphere was good, and our waiter was very nice and accommodating.
My two star review is actually due to the fact that the bathrooms here do NOT have changing tables! I realize that not everyone has this issue to worry about, however as the parent of an infant, I am completely appalled by this! I ended up having to change my daughter on the counter, which is not only unsanitary, but also an inconvenience for both the parent as well as the other restaurant patrons.
For a restaurant that advertises on yelp that it is "good for kids", I urge the owners to consider this major issue and install a changing table for the many parents out there with young children.
I'm not sure what the deal is with this place. Their website looks great, and from other reviews, it seems like they must have a nice showroom with a large selection of stone slabs. However, I've tried several times now to get in touch with a salesperson to give me a simple price for a project I am working on. After one initial phone call, three faxes, and one more phone call, where I was put on hold for 10 minutes and finally hung up, still no answer.
I own my own interior design/build firm and have LOTS of business I would have been happy to pass their way. It just seems foolish to me to not respond to a customer when we are basically throwing business their way. So, needless to say, I will take my business elsewhere.
If they are totally unresponsive to a business such as my own, I can only imagine how they must treat homeowners who only have one small project for them. There are plenty of other, high-quality stone fabricators that are responsive and offer excellent customer service and installation, I just wouldn't even waste your time with Stone City.
Attention first-time parents to-be who are completely overwhelmed by the process of the baby registry...this place is AMAZING!
My husband and I went here to register last weekend and were unbelievably impressed by the level of service we received. We signed up for a private registry session with a sales associate (before the store opened) and she literally guided us through each and every decision to be made...from strollers to carriers to diapers to breast pumps and everything in between, we feel so much more confident in understanding the baby products that are out there than we did walking in.
The sales associate that worked with us, Emily, was very knowledgeable about their products and really seemed to enjoy her job. She was a pleasure to work with and extremely patient with us. She offered guidance when we needed it but was not at all pushy.
I've read some other reviews about their prices, so i did some online price-comparisons with Target and for the most part, their prices actually did not seem much higher, if at all, for the exact same items. Of course, Giggle does sell some other "high-end" items that may be perceived as pricey, but most of those are more unique items you wouldn't find at the big-box stores anyway.
Oh, and one more thing that I think is great about Giggle are the classes they offer, as well as just the general support they offer to parents. We signed up for a cloth diapering class later this month...I really never thought I could be so excited about diapering!
Overall, I definitely recommend Giggle to anyone looking for high-quality, hand-picked product recommendations and much more personalized service than anything you'll ever find at a big box retailer.
This place was pretty good and definitely fills a void in the Wicker Park area for a local, semi-quick burger joint. The burgers were huge, pretty tasty and cooked just right...plus they have some interesting options for toppings (fried egg, a few different sauce options, etc). Also nice to have the option for a wheat bun. The hand-cut fries are great (skip the cheese fries), but the one downfall...no vinegar available to dip the fries! This was a major bummer, but otherwise we were pretty happy with the experience and will probably go back. Also, the customer service was great, which again, is a definite plus.
If you are looking for an amazing massage experience, I highly recommend Gladys at the Ruby Room. I have been here several different times over the last couple of years and am truly never disappointed. This woman must have hands of magic, let me tell you! I've had massages at several different places (both local and on vacations) and they just simply never compare. The massage is always incredibly relaxing and Gladys always seems to get the pressure just-right, but the long-term benefits, both physically and mentally, far outlast just the massage itself.
The overall experience at the Ruby Room is also always a treat. The "waiting room" once you get back to the spa area is relaxing, and they usually let you relax there a little while after your service if you need to. I recommend getting there just a few minutes early so you can unwind with a mug of the Aveda tea before they take you back to your massage.
I haven't tried the intuitive services but those are next on my list!26/04/2010 Wow... fantastic! What a fun review to read. We're thrilled you love your experiences at Ruby Room.… En savoir plus

Okay, i've never actually had anything fixed here, so take this review for what it is worth. I have, however, brought my car here twice to get an estimate of work to be done.
Each time i've been in, the problem and the cost to fix it seems to get worse the longer I talk to the guys. Both times, I received additional quotes from other reputable mechanics, and the other mechanics always came in much less than this place. The real cause of the problem, both times, turned out to be not nearly as bad as they told me it was.
This last time I dropped it off to be looked at...I didn't give permission for any work to be done, mind you....a few hours later they called back and told me that they tightened a bolt for me and that it would be $45 (oh, that's in addition to the other $750 they told me it would take to fix a problem that another mechanic estimated around $300). Seriously?!? On the invoice, it said .67 hours of labor. Does it really take 2/3 of an hour to tighten a bolt?? Ridiculous.
I'm all for paying a little extra if you trust the work, but the bottom line, for me, is that I just don't trust them enough to have work done here. Maybe their mechanics do good work, but I think they try to up-sell customers on work that doesn't need to be done. Wish I would have had a better experience.
Overall, pretty good experience, especially as compared to some of the other nail places in the 'hood. The place was very clean, and the staff seemed very attentive. $30 for a pedicure, which is pretty good price. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and did not at all feel rushed.
My nail tech was Agnes, who was great! She took her time with everything and gave a very relaxing foot and leg massage...sometimes I've found that some nail techs don't realize how rough they are when they are filing or using the pumice thing (almost to the point that it is painful!) but Agnes was not this way at all. I definitely recommend asking for her if you go.
I've tried a few of the other nail places in this neighborhood, and this is my favorite so far...I'll definitely be back!
