These guys had been taking care of my residence for many years. Edging, mulching, pruning, overall design and planting/maintaining of trees, shrubs and flower beds. Fall and spring clean-ups are done before I get home. I could only be more proud of the front and back yards if I had done the work myself. And the owner is a wicked nice guy.
Stopped in for lunch with mum. Had a beer, they had my favorite and it was cold. Ordered the terriyaki chicken sandwich, she got a burger. She said it was, "eh it's a burger.." My chicken was terrible. Hard to bite into, harder to chew; like it was frozen and microwaved. The bartender who served us was nice. I wouldn't go back unless it's just for a drink or two.
Changing my review after the restaurant changed ownership... much better! Buffalo chicken pizza was really good. Nice amount of chicken, crispy and spicy. Could have supplied some ranch or bleu cheese. Next time I'm in the neighborhood I'll order again.
Just went there to have them press a bearing off of a knuckle. Simple job. Would have paid them but the lazy jerk wouldn't do it. He was just sitting at his computer when I went in. If they wouldn't take money to do such a simple job, I sure wouldn't trust them with a big job.
He straight up lied to me too. Told me the only place that could do such a thing is a bearing company. Unless maybe he just has no idea what he's doing...so either a liar or an idiot....
Get in, work out, get out.
There's enough equipment in this place and I go at the least busiest times so I can get in, work out and just get out. I chuckle when I see the sign in the parking lot that calls the place a "spa".
The lack of caring is first obvious when pulling into the parking lot when you see the space lines going in all different directions. Then going in you'll notice no one will try to say hi to you unless it's Amy at the front desk. She's the only friendly staff member. However, you won't know that before signing the contract. Until they got you hooked in, they are friendliest people in the world. After that though, you don't exist.
There's a ton of cardio equipment. About a year ago maybe a 1/4 of them had signs on them saying out of order. I think that's up to a 1/3 now. There's also a ton of strength training machines and free weights downstairs. I try to make sure to sanitize everything before using it because not too many people wipe them down after using it. One thing that seriously pisses me off though, is when I try to wipe down the machines and can't find any paper towels or spray.
Get used to looking for free weights, bars, dumbells, and plates cause they are never where they belong.
What else don't they take care of? Well there's the bathrooms that haven't been open for over a year. I don't know if they're too cheap to fix them or too lazy to clean more than one. The men's and ladies' rooms in the strength training area are both closed with only the handicapped bathroom open for everyone. There's also the floor; I keep tripping over bubbles in the floor padding.
I know nothing about the classes offered here but I've heard nothing good.
I'm going to keep going here, just don't expect much from it. Like everyone else said, you get what you pay for.
Another reviewer states there are new flat screens in the rooms and there is wifi. Either they were purchased after my stay or it depends on which room you get.I would have given five stars if it hadn't been for the old tube style tv with crap cable. This… En savoir plus
This place got me sick.
I don't understand all the good reviews for this place. Everything is priced double more than it should be at. Everything comes from frozen, you don't have to be a food expert to know the flavorless, chewy seafood was frozen not too long ago. I even asked if the lobster is local, the waitress said it's Florida lobster and not fresh, but frozen fresh. Wtf why would you tell me that? $30 for a frozen lobster tail. Service was fine, nothing against the waitress.
But the kicker is what happened a couple hours after eating. Apparently the cook has no idea what they are doing, not only did the food suck, but it gave me food poisoning.
I was up all night, getting out of bed every 15 minutes to go the bathroom. Vomiting for the first half, then diarrhea, then both. When I finally feel up to it I'm going back to let them know and demand my money back. And I'm calling the health dept.
First off let me say I'm not staying at the resort itself, I just felt the need to write a review on the tiki bar and restaurant. I arrived at the beach hungry as hell and just wanted a few drinks and to fill the belly real quick. The place I'm staying said it's right next door and reasonably priced. So after jumping in the water after a long and delayed flight we went to the tiki bar. Here's what we got;
Sat at the bar waiting for the bartender to tend to us while he was talking to another employee for quite a while. Meanwhile there really wasn't too many other people there and we didn't exactly sneak in... Finally he turns around and asks what we need. I ask for a food and drink menu......."I can give you a menu for food and a menu for drinks, but you have to go inside and order food and pay for it there. Or you can eat inside but they don't serve liquor just wine and beer.. but I don't deal with food."... ...... .... wtf ?
I look around and see what looks like a POS system. Why in the hell, if you have computers, can't you send my food order in and have it brought out?
I figured whatever dude I'm starving and just want beer to drink. So we walk in to the place and it's deserted other than a couple employees. The decor, I dunno, looks like a cheaper version of papa gino's. Just cheap looking. Service was alright, would have been better had the waitress asked if I needed another beer after I emptied mine a long time ago. The food was blah. I got a fish sandwich, it didn't really taste like anything. The pricing was pretty reasonable for an average to good food experience, but too high for what they served us.
Shame, seems like this place could have potential. If I could have sat at the tiki bar, ordered drinks and food, had it brought to me in proper plates and glasses, and the food was good, not even great, just good, it would be awesome. I'd tip the bartender for every drink and tip over twenty percent to the waitress. Might be a good place to go late night for drinks, or even just to get a drink or seven while at the beach....I'll find out soon enough
Bottom line, I'm not going back unless just to drink beer at the tiki bar. Within seconds of being there all I could think was, "This place needs Bar Rescue, call John Taffer"..
If I'm spending only one night in a hotel there are minimal requirements that should be met; a good night's sleep and cleanliness.
I had neither here.
I could not fall asleep until maybe 2 hours after I laid down and woke up countless times during the night, finally getting up earlier then I wanted to annoyed and exhausted. Everything is so damn loud there it's ridiculous. Every time someone opened a door anywhere in the building it can be heard, then the doors slam shut and shake the bed. Every person can be heard talking in the hall and next room over.
You know those slip proof zig zag things in the bath tub? They're supposed to white. So should the caulk. And anything else in the bathroom that was white when it was new. Hair should either be on a body, down a drain or in the trash. Not in the tub or around the toilet. Not the worst I've seen as far as cleanliness, but I really wore fiip flops in the shower, not something I do on a regular basis.
Good thing I was too drunk at night to check the sheets for cleanliness (which is why I carry a sleeping bag in my trunk, just in case I get igged out and feel the need to sleep over the sheets, yeah I've slept at some pretty cheap hotels). Oh! Yeah, that's another point, even though I was drunk, I still couldn't sleep due to the noise.
As far as other services; didn't use the pool or laundry, breakfast was ok, desk people seemed nice enough.
another review said something about gps not getting them there, that was '11, my gps here in '13 got me there just fine.
I only go there when some buddies are already there. I wouldn't ever try the food, doesn't feel like a sanitary place to cook. Why the police haven't shut this place down yet I just don't know. No way in hell a percentage of the crowd in there was over 19. The music was awful, no one was dancing, everyone is just hanging out or playing beer pong and the dj has Nelly blasting so loud you can't talk to the person next to you. Seriously, Big Tymers, Nelly, and the Fresh Prince.... LOL
I guess if you're looking to take an incredibly drunk underage girl home this is the place to go.
