Just finished an excellent dining experience with my 13 year old daughter.
When you arrive, it's obvious who the boss is! He greeted us as well as came by our table several times to check on us. This guy really cares about your dinig experience.
Pasta dishes were excellent. Desert or creme brulee and pumpkin cheesecake were outstanding.
Highly recommend this place and will be back soon.
Hospitality AND Chef Sean!!
Just spent a memorable and relaxing weekend here. Reception and check-in was swift. Cabin #4 was immaculately clean and complete with a super comfy bead, jetted tub, fireplace and flat screen tv/dvr and frig. The private deck overlooks a pristine and calming meadow. Watching the hawks soar and hunt was fascinating!
Dinner on the deck of the restaurant was awesome. Chef Sean (Yes, a professionally trained food artist in McCall!) prepared a multi-course meal complete with batter-dipped prawns for an appetizer followed by his fresh organic greens salad with a thinly sliced green apple, walnuts and gorgonzola. The main course was a stuffed prawn and scallop atop a perfectly seasoned and roasted prime rib. Unreal flavor and original thought in a remote lodge. Desert was berry parfait with fresh blueberries and strawberries and freshly whipped crem on top. Our server sue is attentive and really carfes about her clientele having a great time...thanks Sue!
The hot tub is a perfect touch prior to retiring for the evening.
The horseshoe and bocci ball pits ouside your door make activities easy.
Highly recommend this place for your getaway/hideaway or just a fine meal!
Excellent breakfast! Order the smoked salmon eggs bennie. They go a little light on their hollandaise so order some extra on the side. Their homemade engligh muffins are killer as well as the bacon being exceptional.
Just spent 4 nights here. Great location and easy walking to local attractions. Staff does NOT go out of their way to be friendly. Rooms are adequate but worn. Breakfast should be skipped.....stay away from the "egg product", sausage look-a-like and "throwing" bisquits. Alpenglow is a 5 minute walks and rocks!
Spent my last night across the street at McMinamins and enjoyed not only the culture of the hotel, but the friendly staff.
Best pub in Bend! Just spent 5 days cycling in Bend and hit this place by accident....3 times.
Bar staff are friendly and really want you to have a good time. Beer is exceptional and staff knows thier products. Pub fare is great and for $10 you eat well.
10 minute walk or $6 taxi from the heart of downtown.
Just finished 3 day Bike 'N Brew weekend. Cog Wild does a great job as they booked the hotel rooms and took care of most other logistics.
Rooms at Phoenix Inn are fine...nothing fancy and the service ok...not great. Highly recommend skipping the hotel breakfast and walking 5 minutes to the Alpenglow which is excellent. Order the smoked salmon eggs benedict which is outstanding!
Our guide Jason did an excellent job of evaluating the riding abilities of the 4 in our group, and picking the 3 day-rides to meet our challenges. Also, when the typical challenges came up, Jason rose to the occasion and took great care of us.
I would definitely consider doing CW Umpqua or high mountain tour in the future.
This place rocks! Been there twice in the last month and been impressed with thehigh quality food and attentive service.
The Pueblo Lindo Enchiladas with pork is smothered in their green chile verde---outstanding!
Ask for the roasted pepper salsa. Its got good heat but more importantly an excellent roasted pepper flavor.
Both visits the staff have been friendly and appreciative of our business.
Dr Widdison has treated my family for 14 years and without exception, been excellent in all regards. He is an excellent dentist, never in too big of a hurry, quality dental work and good humor with kids. His staff is professional, and friendly as well.
