yes, it's as good as the hype. At this point I've tried all their unique flavors and I always want to come back for more. I consider myself an ice cream expert and this place is hands down one of my top two favorites in LA. The flavors are strong and they do a good job of mixing sweet and salty (my favorite combo). The ice cream is creamy but not overbearing.
I usually eat ice cream in a cup but their waffle cones are worth eating even alone. Favorite flavors include the toffee brittle almond something flavor and coconut macadamia and avocado w/ strawberry sorbet.
This place might actually be 5 stars but I want to go back before to make sure. This is for their duck larb - WOW. They have crunchy bits of duck in it and their sauce is A game. Best larb I've ever had, easy. The papaya salad is unique and the tom yum soup really strong. Definitely check this place out!
Id come back. This place is on the fancy side and the food is cooked great. we had the steak, duck, shrimp pasta and their special of the day which was a fish dish. My favorite was my steak and the fries it came with were delicioussss. They also have a good variety of alcohol
3.5 stars. This place is alright. The boar pasta was cooked al dente really well and the flavor is ok. The pizza crust is thin and tasty, bee sting pizza is worth trying- loved the honey. The cauliflower appetizer is roasted well with the garlic flavors but too oily for my taste.
The types of sushi they offer seem to have gone down and I find myself usually waiting for new ones to come around the belt. Still, it's $2 so id still come back.YES.
Too bad the wait takes forever but this place is awesome. It's easy to get full fast and they… En savoir plus
This place is alright, but that's about it. I've come a few times, nothing has overwhelmed me. I did have a pickle flavored fry chicken, which, as weird as it sounds, was pretty good. other than that, i've never craved to come here.
i've come for breakfast and dinner, i mayyyy come back one more time to see if it's worth redeeming but it'll have to be great for me to edit this review.
had the bone in rib eye w pepper crust SO TENDER SO JUICY SO FLAVORFUL
their in house sauce was yummmmy. oh my my the portion was huge too
sides we had - mac n cheese, broccolini, creamed spinach and asparagus, all great. i love a great mac n cheese, this one was just ordinary.
we also had oysters and the goat cheese baklava for apps. Oysters were fresh, goat cheese was unique. I liked the baklava, but dont think i'd get it again. Oysters, YES.
Yes, it's pricey, but you're paying for the food, great service, ambiance, location, environment, etc. I'm not gonna go everyday but it was definitely worth it.
Side note - if i remember correctly wine is half off on sundays!
i'm coming back!!
This place is great!! It's super close to USC, just on the other side of the freeway.
It's a food court with mostly hispanic foods but there is a thai stand (random but im sure it's good). There's also clothing stands.
I got chicken itza's special - the pork prime rib w/ chorizo on top, avocado, rice and beans. The rib was tender and flavorful. The chorizo was definitely the highlight. My friends on the fish and pork, fish was super tasty. I'd try that next time. This food court is reasonably priced and I definitely wanna come back to try different stands.
I'd come back!
we decided to come here last minute because we saw an ad in a food mag and the place we were going to go to, Beijing Pie House, is randomly closed in the middle of the afternoon until 4PM.
Reasonably priced for generous portions, I dont think I've ever had indonesian food so not sure how "authentic" it is, but i definitely enjoyed it! Think of a mix between chinese and thai food.. oh my my. We ordered the jam mien hakka, bakso sapi gerobak, and kwu tiao koreng. Yea i got the names of off the yelp photos, check it out cuz they were DELISH. i'd come back for sureeee.
the waitress was very helpful in describing to us what each word meant and which hot sauce to eat with which dish/how it was supposed to be eaten.
side note - water tasted weird but what can you do.
there's 1 hr. street parking
oh my my
this place is super random like you wouldn't expect it to be delicious -but it is. The chicken seasoning is rich and savory and it drips on top of your fries... YUM. It comes w/ tortillas and don't forget to ask for a side of salsa. All this for CHEAP too. like 5.50 or 6.50.. and you get a whole box.
there's a small lot and side parking, i'd recommend getting it to go, esp if you went at night like we did. i'd def come back!!
