was introduced to this place by a friend cause she loved it..
and yes it is pretty delicious. I usually end up getting the proscuitto and arugola sandwhich with a san pellegrino and a cookie..
sandwhich is delicious.. but in reality its pretty hard to mess up a sandwhich, cookies are pretty good as well just right.
Overall great place to go after walking around volunteer park.
It almost felt like I was back home in Switzerland in a trattoria in a small town but then realized I was in Seattle.. thats how good the food is.. of course if I was paying attention and not being mesmerized by how delicious the food was I would have noticed that everyone was speaking English and not Italian...
anyway.. it was a group of 7 of us.. we shared 3 appetizers (Antipasto misto della casa, Prosciutto, and Cipollini ripieni di salsiccia di coniglio) All were amazing.. my favorite was definitely the Cipollini and the Prosciutto di Parma..
For the first plate I had the Tagliatelle con fagiano e anatra (pheasant and duck).. and it was amazing... usually in Europe you'd get an small slice of Orange to counter act the heaviness of the pheasant but it this wasn't heavy at all and it was amazing.
Second plate I had the Quaglia con la polenta and it was good. Polenta was just right and the quail was perfectly cooked.
They have a great wine collection to go with dinner as well but just remember to have a Negroni to start your mean and a Montenegro to end it..
the only "disappointment" was that they didn't have a espresso machine but they did have the old school mocha type kettle and it was pretty tasty as well.
Highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try some good Italian restaurant.
recommend this restaurant if you want to try some good italian restaurant.
Went to Blue Fin Sushi for dinner last night and didn't realize it was a buffet till I got there.
Prices were OK and the selection of food was decent. They have a bit of everything from sushi to Korean BBQ to salads to desserts.
I had a full plate of sushi and they were all pretty good, not as good as a sushi specific restaurant but for a buffet it was good.
I'd recommend it if you want a lot of food for a fixed price..
Best Italian restaurant in Whistler!!!
Everytime I go up to whistler this is the first place we stop and eat.. its delicious.. and always end up getting the same plate..... which is..
The Quattro Pasta - its amazing..
There isnt much more to say about this place besides go and enjoy some great italian food before hit teh slopes the following day!!
Cool bar in the middle of Bourbon Street. We stopped in here cause we heard some live music and it was still early in the night and just wanted to get a few drinks before exploring more of Bourbon.... but at the end we just ended up spending the entire night here..
The live music was awesome.. they had a really talented band playing.
Drinks were not too bad.. 3 double drinks (1 Rum/ 1 Vodka / 1 Whiskey) was like 30 bucks? or something like that so not bad at all. I belive that the drinks were cheaper upstairs but I was too lazy to walk up the stairs to just walk back down..
Once the live band stopped playing the music turned more into rap / hip hop which isnt really my cup of tea but we stayed and still had a good time.
Came here for breakfast the second day in New Orleans.. might have been still intoxicated/hungover but the food here was pretty tasty and definitly helped with the headache.
between 4 of us we ordered 2 Gumbo's to share and they were delicious.. highly recommened it... then we all had a breakfast. I presonally had the Cajun Sausage Breakfast and it was good, my friend had the Maw Maw Cajun Breakfast and I think that one was better.
Overall great breakfast location to go after a night out on Bourbon
YOU MUST TRY THE CRABCAKES!!! soo delicious. we landed in New Orleans and checked in the hotel and then walked down Bourbon street just checking it out and we asked a police officer which one his favorite restaurant was and he pointed us to NOLA Smokehouse.
We started off with the crabcakes and then ordered a fish platter / a PoBoy / Gator tails and a few others plates and we shared everything..
everything was delicious but the crabcakes are a must get if you come here!
Great little place to go have some good food and some good drinks.
Location: its pretty easy to get to.. cabbed it from belltown and was perfect.. looking for parking in that area might be a little rough.. not sure, don't usually go hangout there.
The restaurant/bar is a little small so make sure that you make reservations if you want to get a table or you might have to wait a little.
Food: we started off with the Guacamole and chips and the ceviche both really good. but I think the guac was def a better choice.
for dinner I had the fajitas as it was recommended by our waitress and she was right they were delicious, they bring you a wooden block with 3 little glass bowls that have 1. Rice 2. Mashed up corn? 3. Beans and then another plate with a little "pot" looking thing with the meat and then there are the small tortilla bread.
Dessert: didnt have any as I was full but they do have churros.. might have to try them next time.
Overall its a great little place to go have dinner and drinks.
came here once and had the spicy mac and cheese which was good but in reality can you really mess up mac and cheese?
I think that if I go back I'd like to try a more "complex" meal than mac and cheese cause I feel thats something that anyone can do.. so my 3 starts might be a bit harsh for the overall restaurant but until I dont try something else I can't fully judge the restaurant.
My friend that was with me told me to not finish my meal.. which I was a little sad about cause I was hungry but I did as she told me and then she asked to have our meals doggy-bagged and they came back with animal shapped aluminum foil doggy bags which was pretty cool.. so I'd recommend leaving some left overs when you go..
Came here last summer after my soccer tournament cause I was recommened this place by a friend and overall it was worth it.
Food was good and the prices were also decent.. (considering I didnt have lunch and we came here for dinner by the time I got here I was starving and I had wish the portions were bigger but I bet if I go there on a normal day the food would be just right.)
for dinner we had:
shared a bruschetta caprese with proscuitto. overall very good no complaints.
had a small gorgonzola salad which was good.
and for the main plate I had the abituale - coming from switzerland and speaking italian I have no idea why its called "usual" but besdies that it was good.
Overall I dont give it higher than 3 stars cause I felt one the service was a little slow.. maybe because I was inpatient cause I was starving and two felt like the sauce was a bit overkill.. felt like I had too much sauce not enough pasta..
but I'd probably go back if I was in town and wanted to grab some italian food.
