I was so excited to bring my honey here! I called and made an appointment for opening day. It had to be postponed due to circumstances beyond their control. We finally made it back in and everyone was very friendly and inviting. Scott N has been wanting a straight razor shave for a while and when I saw that service being offered, I made an appointment right away! Stephanie was just a sweetheart and made him feel comfortable for his first straight razor shave. My honey also received an executive haircut that included a shoulder massage and nose wax. Thank you so much 18/8, Scott loved being pampered!
I found my little happy place in paradise! The leis here are absolutely stunning! Every type of ribbon you can imagine, yarn, rattail, kukui, shell...everything you need to make beautiful forever leis! I was just in awe!
There were a group of ladies at the table, all creating their beautiful projects and talking story. I was told that I can have a free lesson of any one of the many leis in the store, I just needed to buy the materials. Plenty leis to choose from, that's the hard part! I only had a couple days left before flying back home, so I had to choose one I felt I could finish.
I chose the niihau shell lei and I am so happy I did. Aunty Sandy gathered the ribbons I needed and got me started. I stayed for a few hours and met more Aunties. I came back for the second day to learn the next part of the lei. I had a great time with all the Aunties and my lei turned out so u'i!
Next time I come back, it will be at the beginning of my trip so I can come learn more! Mahalo for the lesseons and letting me talk story with you!
We had an absolutely awesome time with Christiana! Her personality was sweet and friendly! We had a private lesson for three, all first timers. I'm not much of a swimmer, and frankly am terrified of going into the ocean, but SUP always intrigued me. We found Rainbow Watersports and saw that the instructors are all certified lifeguards, so we booked the lesson. Christiana gave me a life vest to wear and made all of us feel comfortable. Her enthusiasm was so contagious, my fear quickly dissipated. I had so much fun and am excited to go again. Mahalo nui loa!
Love Love Love it here!
Such deliciousness with options for both vegans and non-vegans. My sister is a vegan and it's a challenge to find places to eat with the whole family.
The atmosphere is very friendly and so are the servers. Be sure to check out the menu board for more options. They have more healthy options with brown rice and vegan friendly sushi. Very delish!
I've came here a couple of times and was very satisfied both times. The first time was Mother's Day and we were given a photo of our party in a frame.
High Tea on a Ship? Yes, I think I will!
I was invited to join a group of about 30ish people for high tea at the Queen Mary. We all were going to wear hats and dress up for the occasion. We had so much fun!
You really need to come experience high tea if you are into that sort of thing. Cute little tea sandwiches, and cute little desserts and my tea cup was constantly being filled. It was a great presentation and the service was great. Like I said, my tea cup was constantly being filled!
I do agree with another's comment about the parking validation. They really should be able to validate there. We had to go elsewhere, and then they took multiple tickets at the same time, I actually did not get my same ticket back, but did not notice until I was leaving and ended up paying more because apparently, the ticket I got was there much longer that me.
Still was a great time!13/10/2014 Melody T. -

Great little place to hang or maybe meet up with clients.
I came here after donating to the American Red Cross, waiting for my partner to finish his donation process. I ordered a green iced tea and bought a pastry and sat in the patio area.
Everyone was friendly and the place was clean. I do agree on the limited selection of options, but the choices were fine.
I would go visit again when I'm in the area.
Every now and then I'm reminded to donate blood when I see blood drives around town. Most of the times I am unable to because my iron level would be low. I am so happy when I am able to give because I know I am helping someone who needs it.
This facility has a friendly staff and a clean environment. The process was quick and easy. I bring my own green juice to drink afterwards, and may nosh on a few snacks...and there are plenty to choose from.
I've been here a few times since it's grand opening and every time it's the same.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
I am so happy that Ragin Cajun found a new location! A lot of the same menu items, but one thing that is new is the vegetarian gumbo. That with the beans and rice combo is delish at such a great deal! Po boys continue to be tasty as well as the salad with blackend crawfish - my go to items! Also had the alligator, which was good.
Service was always great! They were very attentive and very friendly.
This last time we went for dinner, afterwards, our car decided that it wanted to stay in front of the restaurant and would not start. We had to call for a tow truck. Stephen came out to check on us a couple of times. Now that's great customer service!
What an honor to have the opportunity to experience this awesome piece of history. The USS Iowa is such a fascinating piece of equipment with so many stories that went on between the walls of the battleship. The docents and knowledgeable veterans located at different parts of the ship gave fascinating facts that only they can provide.
At one of the top levels of the Iowa, I looked down at the first level of the Yelp party where there was just a sea of people in their red, white and blue attire. I actually did not want to go down and get into that craziness...but besides being able to tour the Iowa (with a $10 donation to restore the Battleship!), I was there for the Yelp Party.
I'm far from experiencing many Yelp parties, my first event was in Hawai'i about six months ago. This was a much more grander scale. So many vendors to peruse and sample goodies, coupons and discounts were given if you go and visit their retail locations. Photobooths to be goofy with your friends. Freebies from yelp, and entertainment.
So many nice yelpers who were so happy to be there and experience the USS Iowa, and then there were some other yelpers who were there just to complain. Amongst many things, I heard "OMG, they ran out of bags already? How am I suppose to carry my stuff?" Walk your lazyness to your car, or hey, don't take any samples. It is amazing how ungrateful some people can be. I always tell myself, "how you do anything is how you do everything" So sad to live that way...
But I digress, Brittany B. and Ryan C. did an awesome job coordinating this event along with the rest of the Yelp staff. I got to spend a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon with my favorite Yelper Scott N, as well as Craig Y. Was surprised to actually see my sister yelper, Harmonie T. I was also happy to see a friend and his wife from Isabella's Cookies as well as someone from my hula ohana, veteran Mr. J who gives tours of the ship.
Overall, I had a great time! I ended the day with a massage from Elements massage.
Always passed by the Warner Grand Theatre for years and never had the opportunity to check out the interior until recently.
What a charming theatre! Opened in 1931, the art deco style is so grandeur! So much history in these walls! I am so glad this place has been renovated to keep the charm pristine!
The antique ticket booth at the front of the theatre as the first impression before entering brings you back in a time that I never got to experience, but can imagine in my minds eye. This place must have been rockin' back when they first opened the doors!
This is a great little venue spot...hmm now what can I celebrate there?
