I made a reservation for Mother's Day and was excited to check this place out. The reviews were very positive and the menu looked great.
Come to find out they are having a prix fixe menu for Mother's Day - which I wasn't told when I called, nor was it indicated on their website. A little frustrating that our party had come based on the great reviews, looked over the menu in advance- and weren't able to order from the menu!
OK, no big deal. Can you just sub out the scrambled eggs for over easy egg? No? Really? That's kind of silly.
The staff was friendly enough and the food was fine. We left without feeling great about the experience because we had been eager to order from the menu, and that wasn't an option. How does a restaurant not communicate a today-only prixe fixe menu to people when they call, nor indicate it on their website?? The unwillingness to sub out 1 egg is a little irritating as well.
Don't expect a big, nice sit down restaurant (though they have some picnic tables outside when the weather is nice). The food is excellent and prices are reasonable. They practically put a salad on your burger if you get it with everything. Best spot in the area by far.
If you can get in, it's quite an experience. Best to go with a group so you can try more dishes. Yes, they charge $4 for bread for the table. It's very tasty. Favorite dishes include roasted cauliflower, diver scallops, duck tongues & confit goat belly. All are outstanding.
The bagels are fine and cream cheese pre-packaged (thank goodness), but the employees leave little to be desired by frequenting this business.
Let me set the scene: One employee acknowledges me over her shoulder, without turning her back. I say that I want a dozen bagels. Another employee stares a me, and when I return my gaze, impatiently and frustratedly says 'whatchyou want!!'. He throws them in the box , slides my order down the counter and walks away. I wait at the counter for another employee to pay, while another employee puts her contact lenses in on the surface normally used for food prep. Oh yeah - the iced coffee was room temperature at 10 AM on a Sunday.Really? Just amateur hour. Get some competent staff, would ya!
Well, I didn't think it was possible to lower the bar from my earlier experience. I should have known if anyone could do it, it's AT&T.
The internet service itself is mediocre- intermittent outages requiring restarts of the router, reconnecting and reentering passwords - several times, every single day.
But you're better off just suffering than actually trying to resolve it. Today I called, and explained the issue, requesting that a technician come out to assist. I am told that I must call a different number (here we go) but that someone could come out at no cost to me.
So I call. The person is clearly an offshore representative ("Vince"), and it takes 4 attempts for him to get my account # correct, another 3 for my phone number - ya know, in case we're disconnected. He also asked for my email... yeah, no. Let's talk about the issue.
He tells me there will be a cost for a technician needs to come out. Wait, the last person I talked to indicated that wasn't the case.... He tries to trouble shoot the issue. I explain that I've been down this road with them before. How do you plan to fix an intermittent issue? Right this minute the internet is working fine, but it'll be down again shortly!
This person effectively turned an intermittent problem into an ongoing one. Then, predictably, we're disconnected - and though we went through great lengths to ensure he had my # in case this exact thing happened - I did not hear back from Vince, nor was anyone able to actually identify this person. Accountability = zero.
I wound up spending over 2 hours on the phone over the course of NINE phone calls in order to get my service restored. Since that was way more than this outfit was cabable of, I joyously cancelled this service. I'd pay double elsewhere just to avoid having to deal with a company with this epic level of incompetence.I am blown away by how awful this experience has been, so far. We purchased AT&T internet service,… En savoir plus
This is more a truck stop for cabs than a gas station. There are constantly at least a dozen (literally) cabs taking up space in a cramped gas station. They park at pumps, block entrances/exits- for long periods of time, and are generally rude.
Employees receive several complaints from customers about this daily, and indicate that they tell the manager - but he just doesn't care. Spare yourself the headache and drive the extra 4 blocks to a better Shell station.
I went in for a to-go lunch order and got the Shortrib Torta - a daily special: Guajillo braised shortribs, grilled cactus salad, avocado, black beans.
At $12.50 with no sides it's far from cheap- but it was very good. The place is a zoo - tons of people in a small area waiting for to go orders and the line gets out-the-door long very quickly. It was about a 20 minute wait to get my food after I had ordered.
