Gamasot is under new management, and while the waitstaff is still the same, there's something missing. They've added an all you can eat Korean BBQ, but unless you read/speak Korean, you have NO IDEA what that's all about. They also skimped on the wide spread of ban chan that they usually serve up.Probably my FAVORITE Korean restaurant in the area. It's such a shame that this place is not… En savoir plus21/02/2011 Hi there~ Management changed back last September. I see your previous post was only about a month… En savoir plus
Oh look- Todai and Ill Mee had a baby! The buffet is clean and even on a slow Monday night, the selections didn't look as though they've been sitting there for hours untouched. The sushi was very decent compared to the other Korean/Japanese buffets. They weren't over-riced and the variety was plentiful.
The grilled meats were good, but I did wish they had more ban chan items to eat along with the salad and meat. The kim chi wasn't too great imo. Maybe they have more ban chan items on the weekends?
If you thought Todai had good desserts, Korshi has better desserts. They may not have as many as Todai.. and no crepes.. but the quality of the desserts were great. My fave? The mango custard.. yum!
Whoever decided to open Breeze Bakery right next to Yechon is a genius. It's so easy to head over to this cute, open, friendly cafe after getting your eat on at Yechon. The guys behind the counter were so nice and seemed to genuinely appreciate your business.
I came in pretty late (around 10pm) so the selection was picked over, but I was still able to get a few things.. all of which were delicious. Also had the Black Tea Latte with a side of Chocolate Cake to go along with it. The cake was heaven!
The seating area downstairs and upstairs is very inviting, and stays open till midnight everyday.
I've been hearing about Paradiso brunch for years now, and finally decided to try it out this past weekend. The staff is always very friendly and the place is always clean. I was very disappointed in their brunch though. The spread was laid out beautifully with salads, baked goods, pastas, fruits, and desserts. However, everything that was supposed to be hot.. was barely warm. The seafood was bleh.. the pasta runny and salty.
It is $20 per person, so the price isn't bad, but next time I think I'll spend my $20 elsewhere.
I worked with Mark while planning my wedding. Everyone is right when they say Mark is a pleasure to work with. With every phone call, email, and meeting at the delivery of the flowers, Mark was as nice as he can be. I had a very small wedding, so he only made 2 bouquets and a centerpiece for me. Since peonies were out of season for our wedding, we chose garden "cabbage" roses instead.. they were beautiful...looked just like peonies in the photos! I was very specific with the color and the ribbons to wrap them with and he made them perfect.
My only complaint is that my bouquet didn't last but a few hours. They started turning brown around the edges.. it was fine though, since by that time I was tired of carrying it, and it had lasted through picture taking.
I got married on China Beach in early October. It was the most perfect location for the small, intimate, and very private ceremony I had hoped for. For the time that we were there, there were hardly any other people coming and going. It really did feel like our very own private beach!
I highly suggest coming here to relax with your friends, partner, or even by yourself. The views of the Golden Gate and sunset are truly remarkable.
*If you do get married here, it is recommended to obtain a license.. it's about $225. Sure, no one may check on you, but it would be horrible if they did and ended up kicking you out*
Ok. I love J. Crew. Love it. If I could buy every piece of clothing there I would.. every season. I fell in love with a J. Crew wedding dress and wanted it to be the first dress I try on.
The Georgetown location is the only one in the area that has a "Weddings and Parties" department, by appointment only. I called, left messages, called again.. nothing. Anytime I got a sales associate on the line, they were short and snobby about how it's appointments only.. all I wanted to know was if they had the dress I wanted in the store!
After I finally got a phone call back, (after I found my wedding dress already) I found out that they only have wedding gowns in the store that are less than $1000. Anything over you would have to order online and just return it if you didn't like it. Annoying.. not to mention a waste of time! Apparently they have a huge wait list for appointments. Why??? For being open 7 days a week, why is the wait so long? Esp if there is not that big of a selection to choose from.
I did stop in tonight shopping for men's suits, and while there I thought I would try on "special occasion" shoes, as well as other bridal stuff like veils, jewelry, bridesmaid dresses etc. They have NONE of that in the store!
For being the ONLY J.Crew with a "Bridal" section, it's not worth the wait for an appointment. If you have your heart set on a J.Crew dress, go to the new Bridal Only J.Crew store on Madison Ave. in NYC. It's supposed to be massive!
Summer after summer I bake myself in the tanning beds first, then roast in the sun. Something hit me this year.. I'm getting too old to be doing this and it will only get worse if I keep frying my skin like this.
Remember the episode of "Friends" when Ross went spray tanning? Yeah.. my worst fear. I broke down and went to Fit to be Tan and I'm sold. Kelly sprayed me, and she's quick, cute, and very good. It takes 10 minutes tops and you're done.. super easy. She tells you exactly how to stand and what to do.
I do recommend going either in the morning, if you have nowhere to be during the day or at night before bed. You are very dark and a little orange when you leave, but don't worry, after your shower, the orange color washes away and you're left with a nice golden rich tan.
I used Oil of Olay ribbons body wash and the Oil of Olay Quench lotion like Kelly suggested, and my tan lasted about 8-9 days. After that I just exfoliate the rest off.
Location is easy to find and parking is a cinch. Go now!10/08/2012 Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice review!!!!
