Oh, Gas Works Park.... How I love thee.
You have definitely become part of my life again this past summer.
From slip n slide fun to the celebration of the Lullaby Moon.
It's been years since I had visited this park until this past summer and I had forgotten how great it was just to be there!!!
The metal structures that you can climb on, the fact that it is on the water, walk to the top of a hill and have a gorgeous view across the water and don't forget the diversity of people that visit this place (great for people watching).
I'll have to remember to put you on the list to visit next summer, if not just to throw out a blanket and read at, and not get too wrapped up in other summer happenings not to!!!
Seriously, how many times have I been to my girlfriend's apartment and never put two and two together that this place was here???? UGH!!
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my dog is dragging me by so fast since she knows exactly where we are going... To visit Nigel (her boyfriend) and the humans that live there.
This is a nice little spot to either grab something to go or to sit inside and /or on the outside porch to enjoy what you have purchased.
Service is great, coffee is good and love how they make the wonderful little designs on the top of the coffee.
Maybe next time I can get my dog to slow down enough that I might actually get another cup!!!
Great little neighborhood Irish bar...
Thursday nights seems to be karaoke night and it was packed.
Pool tables in the back and a jukebox with a good selection.
Good service, excellent alcohol selection and decent prices.
I don't think it's going to be a regular place. I will, however, definitely revisit the place.
Came here with the group in between bands at the Josephine to grab a beer and some food.
What a wonderful dive bar!!! Pretty small inside, but definitely worth going to!!!
Walls are so covered with tons of stuff that you can keep yourself occupied with trying to read it all.
Service was decent.
Prices were good.
Heard that Sloppy Joe Thursdays are good.
I didn't have one, but one of people in the group did and man did it look good. Another had a cheeseburger and that looked good as well.
I'll be sure to stop by and try some of their food.
Oh how I REALLY liked this place!!!
A bit hard to know where you are going, unless you really are looking for it, since you walk into a little hallway leading to a doorway to enter into the place.
After walking in, it was pretty casual, but there was a "door man" to collect money for the show.
Once inside the performance area, I absolutely loved the concrete floor, the different array of furniture to sit on, and the crazy cool things hanging on the walls along with the "arrangements" of things above the floor.
The stage is on the same level as the floor, but still was able to see the show quite well.
Completely relaxed atmosphere and you didn't feel weird hanging out on your own until your friends showed up.
Met one of the residents while there and had a great time speaking with him.
Also met one of the resident cats, who was pretty friendly, but definitely had the attitude of a cat (I will only come to you for attention, otherwise I don't want it).
Oh and they are completely into recycling.. So, be sure to separate!!!
Great little Dive Bar to hang out at.
Seems like this place would be a neighborhood spot for the locals that live close.
When we went, it was pretty packed and unfortunately, that caused service to be a bit slow. I can say though that one of us was going to walk out without their card and the bartender made sure it was returned before we did.
Has a comfortable atmosphere & seems like it'd be a fun place to just sit and BS all night with someone.
Not on the top of my head of places to return, but definitely would not say no to going again.
If I remember correctly, this is the first place I ever had a gyro.
Boy am I glad it was!!!
Because of how good they are, gyros are something that has been at the top of my list to eat for years after.
Add onto that, they are very generous with portions.
Prices are very reasonable and service is always great.
Conveniently located in the Pike Place Market, it is really easy to pop down here and grab a gyro to go.
Oh and don't forget to buy some baklava while there!!! YUM!!!
Met up with a fellow yelper to catch up and get some food here.
Yes, they still have peanut shells littering the floor.
We both decided to have a pizza and then he got a pizza of his own to take home. Luckily I was able to try both.
Yum, they have good pizza. We tried:
-The Blue Flamer (Red Hot Louisiana sausage, chicken, blue cheese, dressing, onion, tomatoes, pepperoncini, blue cheese, crumbles & mozzarella)
-Baked Potato Pizza (layer of sour cream, X.I.P.A. infused bacon crumbles, seasoned russet potato rounds & cheddar cheese. Topped with green onions.)
I know the last one sounds a little strange, but trust me it is GOOD!!!
Prices for the pizza are pretty good also, Happy Hour or not!!
If you wait until Happy Hour and if you have a thin pizza, they are even less expensive.
They also have a wide array of beers that they brew that you can choose from.
Service was good as usual.
I'm sure I'll be coming back here again, at one time or another.Peanut shells starting to litter the floor and no problem with getting a table at Happy Hour, even… En savoir plus
With another visit to Vashon, came another eating expedition to Red Bicycle.
I ended up having the French Dip, while the others had fish & chips and a Santa Fe burger.
Wow... All 3 meals were absolutely delicious and all 3 meals had great portions.
Service was decent again, but they did forget to bring out the requested tarter sauce.
Next time, we try the sushi!!!After a long conversation and walk on the beach at Point Robinson, we were in definite need for… En savoir plus
Availability of appointments can guide who does what to your hair.
In my case, I'm glad that Carissa was available to color my hair.
She has done an all over color twice to my hair now and both times I have been very happy with how it has come out. We look at my natural color at the roots and get it as close to it as possible so you don't see a major difference when it grows out.
Maybe one day, I'll be brave enough to ask for her to do something really extreme to it?? She is one that I would trust to do it!!
Hopefully I can retrain my brain to pronounce her name correctly (Kareesa). It's just so hard since my sister has the same exact name (spelled the same also), but pronounces it differently. As usual, Jen C did WONDERFUL getting my hair back to shape...
