First time. Last time! The restaurant that loves to hate their customers. What can I say that other reviewers haven't said. My brother warned me. The food is great, but the service is one that makes me wonder why they are still in business.
Our server came once, took our order, and never returned. When we left, she was having her dinner at the bar and raised her eyebrows. Amazing! Talk about service. That's about as low as it gets.
Then, on to the food. Don't even think about asking for butter for the bread. Not allowed. Nor, is balsamic vinegar served, either with the olive oil for the bread or with your tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad.
This is a restaurant of "NO's" and you eat the food as they serve it. There's nothing more to say. They serve a good pizza, but their personality is as distasteful as it gets.
It feels great to now have a local family jeweler and William Harold Jewelers delivers in all categories! From watch repair to diamond ring design, the quality of their services and products, is extraordinary.
Gayle's beautiful design ideas to update my ring and Donna's fantastic communication and professionalism with us made the entire process one of our best experiences ever. Their kindness and clarity with all of our transactions will keep us coming back. Thank you!
I love this place and seem to fall more in love with it with every visit. No matter how busy they are, the staff are always willing to divert their attention away from what they're doing to help a customer. Cashiers, at the checkout stands, are friendly and offer a "feel good" moment to get you on your way when you leave.
The orchids and flowers are the best prices in town and so fresh. I love the rosemary-raisin crackers paired with the Toscana-wine-soaked cheese and while I don't sample the treats very often (and have found more that I like at the Palm Desert TJ's), I do know that what they suggest, will be very good for parties and gatherings.
The wine department is excellent and they are so willing to give a tasting if there's a question about a product they're promoting, like a recent champagne that was a terrific value.
I'm so glad they're now carrying Almond Dream unsweetened almond milk and more varieties of coconut water. Now, I wish they'd carry Almond Dream coconut non-dairy yogurt to enhance their non-dairy offerings.
Love trying new places. Takaya Yakitori is ideal for my OC friends. I had the lunchtime Sashimi bowl and miso soup with great service and an attentive, kind waiter. Fab, well-priced lunches. Go! Baker and Bear.
We were in Bakersfield for the Nostalgia Drag Races at Famoso Raceway and decided to stay here instead of one of the generic hotels that feel like office buildings.
We loved it! The renovated hotel, with a small boutique-hotel feel, was just right for us after a long day at the track. The bed was so comfortable and we slept like babies. Our room was well-appointed and the only reason I'm giving it four stars is because I would have preferred to have coffee in the room. However, they do offer coffee delivery service for $5.95 for two people (really serves 4), which is fine, and includes the newspaper.
The other thing, that we had to discover on our own, was the open-air, rooftop patio bar and restaurant! I wish they would have told us about this at check-in and it's fortunate that we discovered it on our own. We stayed on the third floor and decided to walk down and found it that way. We ended up staying, having drinks and then dinner at the bar. We chatted with really nice people and the food was very good (fish and chips and a wedge salad).
The rooms are small, but nice. Next time, I'd like to get a corner room that may offer more light. It's worth a return visit.

Next time you're in San Francisco, take a very special and unique tour with Emperor Norton! You'll see the city through the eyes of Emperor Norton and appreciate San Francisco even more with the tour's well-crafted and interesting highlights that can only be told through his fantastic persona.
Everything about this tour is one-of-a-kind: the Emperor in full regalia; the lesser-known and sometimes scandalous history of the city; the beautiful buildings and hidden walkways, as well as a special love story about a pair of dogs! Don't miss this! You'll relish this experience and won't be disappointed!
I highly recommend it and plan on doing it again when I visit.
THIS TOUR COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM!!! Do not spend your money, either from Travel Zoo, Living Social or with anyone else. "Joe" will ask you to call one number and that phone refers you to another number. Sometimes he answer; sometimes he doesn't. But. EVERY TIME, he will cancel your reservation due to weather or wind.
Duh! A Hummer is a pretty rugged vehicle. As the other reviews stated, it can be perfectly sunny in Temecula and "Joe" will say the forecast is expecting high winds. I'm putting in for a refund/credit and I would advise anyone to try one of the other wine tour companies. But, NOT THIS ONE. In fact, today, I was told that their website no longer works. Soon they will be a distant memory. But, make sure you get your money back or, better yet, don't make a reservation in the first place. Now, I really need a glass of wine! ;) ^_^
Beautiful restaurant and open lounge made this place look inviting and we sst at a low table in the lounge. Service was prompt, but the food was so-so and zero stars go to the appetizer calamari, which was pressed fish that was soft, soggy and horrible. It tasted like they'd bought it from the freezer section of a supermarket and then put it on a pretty plate and aquifers green sauce on it. My husband and I thought it was the worst calamari we've ever had and we've never seen calamari that looked like soft fish sticks. The miso soup was good and the two rolls we ordered were just okay and nothing special. Very disappointing that they put so much effort into the decor and not the food.
I love this restaurant, and have eaten outside and inside and I love both seating areas. The food is really good and I absolutely crave their fried oyster appetizer and have ordered it both times. The ahi tuna burger is amazing and this time I ordered the beet salad as a side. While others say they liked the grilled artichoke, it was just okay. Our friend had a vegetarian entree and she raved about everything on her plate and there was nothing left (and she's a tiny person!).
Service is excellent and we were seated immediately both times. Staff are friendly and there's no corkage fee! Yay! It may a little noisy for some on the inside, but it didn't bother me.
As we left, it looked like the bar was picking up speed with a large number of singles swiveling their heads as people came in the front door or moved about. We were there for the food, but whatever you're there for, it's a great location, with a beautiful interior design and very good service.
