They must have upgraded since some of the reviews I read. Booked this on Priceline for a last minute birthday celebration for myself and the S.O. and it was 47$ and was so surprised when I checked in.
Staff was friendly, the room pristine clean and very cute. Has pictures of the local lighthouse built into the adorable headboard. I travel a lot in many different cities and I have paid way more than that for a lot less. It's a big place so maybe not all the rooms are this cute but I was impressed for a room under $50, free wifi, nice tile floor, modern furniture, desk area and huge closet area - and the room is larger than some apartments I've stayed in. It made for a nice birthday night.
The only issue I had is one of the smoke alarms was beeping in the hallway (that annoying low battery beep) but they had someone come in within 5 minutes of my calling to fix it.
The old Pump House Grill - renovated into Food District. Cool space, good service - very friendly - and we had a really good time checking out this new place. Still work out a few kinks with food - we only ordered some wraps and bread plates - good but not great and would like to see more veg / vegan plates - but they have only been open three days and I see good things in the future for this place. Hope it works out for them!
Updated : my family has been coming here for 15 years and it's a tradition for us but they have recently raised their prices significantly. It makes it harder to justify our family or the large groups we bring in sometimes to come on a weekly basis. The service is still good and super fast, but the prices are now too high to go in as much as we used to. They also cut the all carte menu to making you order three of anything (which defeated the purpose of all carte) and it's about a 30-40% increase on all meals. We really like coming here - but won't as much due to cost.My family has lived in st joe for over 12 years and this is their go to Mexican place. I've traveled… En savoir plus

I've been here a few times when in town and love their plantains and salsa and their cilantro hummus. Im a sucker for flavorful dips and salsas and these are two of the best I've had around this area.
The staff has always been nice and attentive and love to just pop in to the bar for a drink and an appetizer while out shopping. Beats the chain restaurants nearby.
Was in town for my boyfriends gig and he took me here and we had an amazing date night.
Table side guacamole was fresh and I ordered a side of pico - which was also excellent. We had the coconut risotto (so damn good) and an order of mahi tacos. Everything was extremely flavorful - which is number one in my book. They obviously take the time to really put a wide array of flavors in their dishes that all work beautifully together.
We also ordered the ginger beer cocktail - which was stellar.
Our server - Fiaree - (sp?) was so sweet and attentive and definitely made our date night very special. Can't wait to visit again and try more in the menu.
My family has been coming here for 15 years and they love the pizza. It is really good - probably the best in the area.
I am now staying in the area for a bit and have a lake house around the corner and have now been here 3x in the last couple days. Im absolutely hooked on their grilled cheese - which is only $1.85. I order it with grilled onions and a side of their pizza sauce and they even give you pickle slices. It's total comfort food that reminds me of going to diners of my childhood.
Everyone - from the staff to the customers - are friendly and it's a great place to grab a great pizza and beer and watch a game.
Checked out this place last night - always excited to see new veg / vegan options - especially Mexican food because I live for spice, sauces and salsas.
After reading about the pulled pork made out of jackfruit - I had to try it. Did not disappoint and what's crazy is when I did eat meat years ago, I disliked pulled pork. This was flavorful, tender and I'm still wondering how they make it homemade everyday out of jackfruit! (And it's gluten free!)
Loved that I could create my bowl with all the veggies and sauces and extras I wanted and it was really good. The five alarm was great in heat and I loved the avocado sauce.
My dining partner ordered the moo meat burrito and it was probably the only thing I didn't quite care for that we had. The meat wasn't really my thing - a little too chewy and not enough flavor. But he enjoyed it.
I'm definitely coming back for more jackfruit and to try the baked tofu. Also, the owners are really nice and friendly and all the ingredients were fresh and you cant beat being able to get vegan food made your way. Hope this places does well.
While there are tons of pros to this place - the staff is really friendly, everything is vegan (so you never have to worry about cross contamination), it's pretty healthy and they have great teas and a wide menu - after about 4 trips here, I do feel there are cons.
Each meal I've ordered - from wraps to burgers to bowls all seem to lack real flavor. Each time my order has been lukewarm as well - I'm a stickler for food temp. I feel food should come out hot and each time here it's been like it wasn't just cooked a few minutes ago. There are times I feel like the food was just kinda thrown together to get the order out and didn't have the love and pride of making food for people to enjoy put into it.
For the price - I feel like they could step it up in the kitchen - and take a little more consideration when putting entrees together.
I really don't like to give unfavorable reviews to vegan places - because they are so far and few In between and we need more of them - but I feel like so many of them I go to sometimes ride on the coattails of being able to cater to an audience that will pay premium for healthy foods - but don't really cater in the sense of making sure it's awesome every time.
After the third visit - my vegan dining companion looked at me and said "I really don't think I like their food" which bummed us both out.
