Servers were very friendly, food was good and had decent portions. Happy with indoor and outdoor seating.

Cozy and delicious spot to enjoy a meal in Paris!
Ambiance:
This restaurant has the look of an upscale European bar with plenty of outdoor seating facing the bustling intersection. While there's not a ton of foot traffic here, it's a lovely spot to spend the afternoon watching the cars and families zoom by. Tourists should note that in France it is perfectly acceptable to smoke in the outdoor section of restaurants - so let that serve as a bonus or deterrent given your inclination.
Food:
The food was delicious but nothing out of this world. We enjoyed the four cheese pasta and the chicken and mashed potatoes. Menus were available in both English and French. While we were pleased with the dishes we were bummed not to have received the famous French bread-basket as they had run out for the evening (we ate at about 11PM).
Drink:
Cocktails are expensive here however bottles of wine could be purchased starting at 20EUR and up - a great deal by American standards. Our 20.20EUR bottle of Chardonnay was a light and refreshing treat for a warm summer night.
Service:
As we experienced everywhere in Paris, our waiter was on-point. He was nice, attentive, and spoke English well. It was incredible to see how fast he was able to uncork a bottle of wine and he elevated our experience to the next level.
Value:
Hard to judge as I do not have much of a feel for the going-rates of Parisian restaurants, much less in this neighborhood. We spent 47 EUR for two entrees and a bottle of wine which seemed worth it to me. I would go back!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 5 juin 2019
We arrived in Paris looking forward to great French food. Well we were somewhat disappointed. We stopped at this place because it was packed and the food looked pretty good. They came to the table and gave us bread. I ordered a glass of red wine , salmon tartare with fries and salad. My husband ordered the chicken breast. I loved my dish! The fries were golden and hot. The salmon was fresh and the wine was tasty. My husband on the other had stated that his chicken was dry and not flavorful. He actually got sick after eating it. We did order the French onion soup which was pretty average. Just way too much cheese.

The service was really good, they were able to modify the croque monsieur to make it vegetarian. The croque monsieur was very good and it came with fries and a salad. The spritz was good I love that they put a dried orange in it. They brought out bread with the drinks and when we finished it they brought out more free of charge. I would return here in a heart beat!

On my first night in Paris, I made the decision of eating at Cafe Beaugrenelle, after seeing it look really popular with the locals upon passing by, as after passing many times during the day, it seemed busy and popular, so I thought on my first night in Paris I'd share some of that and come to Cafe Beaugrenelle, but sadly I was left dissapointed, nearly as dissapointed as I was when Steven Woolfe was banned from standing to become leader of UKIP, announced days later
This place does look like a nice bar, with seating both inside and outside yet still I was left dissapointed.
I ordered the meal "Palliard of Chicken", after being told it was gluten free, which came with chicken, mashed potato and gravy however I found most of my meal to be poor, for example my chicken simply tasted poor, and low quality and the coating it was put in, wasn't well balanced, in some it had so much coating, I just had to spit it out in disgust, which wasn't very nice.
The mashed potato also was described as homemade, but it was nothing to shout about, it was nothing over satisfactory, and I honestly think if it was home-made they need to go back to the drawing-board in how they cook and prepare it.
I also tried a few of my friend's chips, also gluten free, they tasted quite nice and to be made from fresh potato, and this would be much better to go with the chicken dish on the menu.
My friend also ordered a Croque Monsieur, he also disliked his meal, and only ended up eating half of it, which shows that many meals on the menu here need to be improved, as both my friend and I didn't like our meals.
The pricing was reasonable, a little over average but for the quality given, it simply was expensive because my meal cost 13.80 euros alone.
The staff seemed nice enough, but still the food was very poor, and when sitting inside, it just didn't have a nice atmosphere at all, and despite bringing free pretzels (which tasted stail) and water to my table, I sadly can't help but think this place deserves a single one star, and I would recommend to avoid it, despite how much of a busy, nice place it looks from the outside, while in the amazing capital of France.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Jamie L.Georgetown, États-Unis011418 août 2018
My husband and I were looking for a glass of rosè ,a little appetizer and some people watching before we looked for a dinner spot. Such a beautiful evening and the outdoor seating called to us.
The wine was fabulous and our plate of fries hit the spot. The staff was very courteous and attentive and we got our bill as soon as we asked for it. And a great spot for people watching!
I give it 5 stars because there were absolutely no disappointments!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 13681311469814 mai 2016
After a day running around Paris, my colleges and I had dinner at Cafe Beaugrenelle. I usually don't eat with my coworkers since I'm on a strict diet. I decided to join them since I didn't want to be a spoilsport. Since I can't read French and the easiest items to order were salads. I ordered the shrimp ceviche with salmon. It wasn't bad, but not cheap either. My coworker recommended this place, but it's not a good choice if you are a picky eater like me. I'm giving them a 4 star rating because it's in a good location, great service and a nice salad presentation.

Came for lunch and several drinks on the patio.
Pros:
-English menu. Staff could speak English well enough. We certainly never expect English in a foreign country, but it's a plus when you find it!
-Ambiance was good.
-Service was average.
Meh:
-Lunch was so-so. The chicken was mediocre and the fish and chips was very dried out. It wasn't a bad lunch, but I wouldn't come back for food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michelle A.Austin, États-Unis619679919 mars 2019
This cafe is close by the mall (on the street corner) -- perfect for a quick bite and people watch. Lunch starts at noon so don't come on a complete empty stomach.
